70th of Summer, 510AV

It was a hot afternoon, and the heat was getting to Ora, it was too warm to practice dancing, it was too warm to go for a stroll, it was too warm to lie in bed and rest. With a small sigh, the young woman moved from a bench by the gates to Syliras and began to walk. It was nearing lunch time and the young Konti's stomach was beginning to protest the neglect the woman had given it.

I suppose I had better get some food. The woman thought, her eyes wandering the crowd for a moment. Over time Ora had become familiar enough with the city to find her way around. As the woman walked, she decided to visit the Rearing Stallion, it was always a good place to eat and relax. It didn't take long for Ora to reach the familiar, worn, wooden door, with a rough shove, she pushed the door open and made her way towards the bar.

The Konti smiled at the bartender, requesting a simple meal and water, she sat down and waited for a short while, her eyes glancing around while she waited for her food to arrive. Once the bread, salted meat and apple were in front of her the young woman's attention moved to quiet her stomach.

Ora began to eat, quiet happy with her meal. As she ate her mind wandered on, wondering what she would end up doing for the rest of the day. It was unlikely that Ora would end up doing much, if anything for the rest of the day, perhaps she would get a few more things in preparation for her journey, but likely, she would rest at the Stallion and wait for it to cool down a bit.

[Rearing Stallion] Stories over lunch (Phipreas, Ora, Open)

Postby Phipreas on August 4th, 2010, 1:20 pm

Finally settling down, Phipreas set himself down to a float as he looked for a place to catch something to eat or drink. He'd never been to the hub of Mizahar, which is surprising as he'd been to Zeltiva. The smells hit him straight away, the sea, the food, the people. This place was certainly of the people.

The weather was mild, but from a rough estimate it looked certainly like it would rain. That was infuriating but nonetheless it would have to be dealt with. Looks like he would need to stay tonight somewhere.

Glancing a sign of some establishing he read the embellished name before popping in. This was different atmosphere to the one in Zeltiva, more myriad of people. Taking out his notebook he wrote:

70th Summer 210

Been flying for days, stopped in Zeltiva again, before coming here. Just gotta say, my respect of humanity is soaring after that meeting in Zeltiva. My money situation is bad. But I certainly sense the inspiration beginning to flow.

Moving over to the bar he asked, for a drink, the maid looked him over and smiled, "That will be---"

He interrupted, "My good lady, I am Phipreas and I have no money, but I shall impress the whole pub with my storytelling skills."

She seemed a tad unsure, but shrugged, "Go on."

Rising up he floated until he stood on the bar, "People of Syliras, I'm Phipreas a poet and storyteller, I shall be your entertainment for today."

The pub stirred and he began, "This poem is a tale of love between two beings you'd never guess, it is called Antithesis Love."

Dark, empty and confined
in a lightless, dirty room
within a thousand screaming listless,
tombs. In this soulless hell,
two cells stand away from each other.
Soft, calm, true and divine. Imprisoned;
a wash says it all the Elemental of
Water feels no more.

He recited each word, with passion, beginning with a sad mournful voice.

The heat, scours,
royally pissed and raging,
the life the intensity,
brimstone and sparks,
ire stir the furnace.
The Elemental of fire,
a fury-filled being.

With anger this time he continued, eliciting the fury and rage of the fire, through his voice.

Both in these cages,
one cries out, sloshing,
swirling in vain to dissolve
the metal. The other
instead growls furiously,
setting aflame, spreading
to melt the cell.

The tide ceases and
flame flickers. Both prisoners
consider ending it all

This time his voice changes to that of great never ending sadness, he accentuates the suffering of them. And people had began to stir and pay attention.

Rising high and mighty
the water Elemental,
gurgles in shock.
The lava and magma,
Reflecting the impossible.
Such beauty such radiance...
Oh how it glows!
Oh how it shines!
Such beauty, so refined!

Just as light all but dies,
the flame leaps to life.
Coal and tinder ignite--
bursting forth and erupting,
desires and longing.

Now he was really gaining people absolute attention, and he was nowhere near finished, but he was parched turning expectantly to the maid, she rushed him some bitter, before smiling playfully at him, "Thank you." Rising up high, he said, "I shall continue, in due course."

The people cheered as he sat back down, and began to flirt with the barmaid.

Ora was too concerned with satisfying the protest her stomach was making. Her eyes focused on the bits of food she was slowly making bite size and carefully ingesting. Her hands carefully tore her bread apart a bit further before she placed it in her mouth to eat.

The young Konti found her attention shifting to an odd creature of which she had never come across before, her small violet eyes found herself staring with food still sitting half-chewed in her mouth. She listened intently to him as he recited a poem with such feeling and passion she was taken aback. As he finished Ora sat on her stool staring at him, she clapped quietly and started to chew her food again.

Once the woman had swallowed the piece of bread, she took her plate and glass and moved next to the man who called himself Phipreas. The Konti set her things down at the seat next to him, her eyes watching him rather closely, inspecting the intricicies of his wings as they glimmered in candle light and the small gleam from the window.

"Phipreas," She said softly, sitting down next to him. "That was quite amazing, thank you." She said, a smile gracing her face for a moment. "I am Ora Sa'vina, I would love to hear more, if you are willing." She knew he said he would continue, but she wanted to reiterate that he should continue.

Turning away from the barmaid, he caught sight of divine beauty. He knew it was certainly a Konti. One of the seer race, a being alone on the island with thousands of females. It sure hadn't passed him by wondering if lesbianism was practised between them. This one, was one of the more pretty ones he seen, a beautiful blond haired one, with a youthful look, but enigmatic eyes. Realizing he was staring he blushed, "Sorry, it's not often such a being of such beauty partakes in drinking in the places I usually go, I was quite surprised. I will continue, I've just been travelling long, and will get back to it momentarily."

Taking another swig, he glanced her out the corner of his eyes, she sure was gorgeous for her species. What a great chance to have.

Ora's face twisted with confusion, she still didn't understand the reactions she received frequently in Sylira, it was quite a strange thing compared to how she was treated on the Isle. "I am sorry?" Ora wasn't sure how to react to his compliment. "I frequent here almost daily, so I suppose this is unlike most places you go." The Konti smiled slightly, her interest growing once she learned he had been traveling.

"Traveling? Where have you come from?" She asked, her eyes lingered on him as he drank. "Sorry, I will let you rest and drink." Ora said quietly, her attention moving back to the small amount of food and drink left before her, which she calmly returned to ingesting.

Resuming his drinking, he waited a bit before answering, "I range from Abura, I've began travelling to write an epic, that will be remembered by all. Might I say, you have amazing eyes, I've only ever met the elders of your race, so pardon my faux pas if I make any."

This certainly was turning out to be an interesting day. Swigging another, he figured, get another drink, before going back to the recital. And his new fan, was certainly helping his nerves.

It wasn't often Phipreas was nervous around a girl, but then they had hardly been intelligent or sober, but this woman, was beyond imagination, she's the kind you'd imagine in the after life, a pure and chaste female. The very definition of innocent, he could surely craft verses or stanzas over such a sight.

"Abura?" Ora hadn't the slightest idea where that was, or what it was like, which was were her curiosities lie. "What was it like there?" Her attention was shifted when he spoke of her eyes, like a bad habit she looked away, shifting uncomfortably on her stool. "Thank you, you have lovely wings." Her eyes moved to the wings that graced his back. "There are so many blues, it reminds me of the sea." Ora said, almost childishly.

Ora watched him in silence before her eyes move back to her food. "The elders of my race?" She assumed he meant the Mothers, or even, Grandmothers circle, they were the 'elders'. The young Konti glanced back at him as she continued to speak. "They are wise women, whatever they might have told you, I would take to heart." Ora said with a small smile, her fingers making work of the apple, cutting it into small slices.

[Rearing Stallion] Stories over lunch (Phipreas, Ora, Open)

Smiling he stood up, well we shall continue in a bit, I left them waiting long enough and little more hydrated now. Floating on to the bar he began, "I shall continue." immediately silence fell over the bar.

Swash, waves and crashing,
burning and alighting--
the cage moves.

He held his breath, before going on.

They both stand--
a unknown feeling
burling in one another.
Not stopping they push
heads together.
Fire... Water,
Rusting and melting
Prisons end--

Traslating the words into a vivid picture he tried to capture the imagination of the whole bar. The whores, the rogues, the fighters, the religious people, the races, everyone inside, an amalgamation of achievements of diversity.

A kiss... (a lick of flame slips in)
Passion burns, longing soaks,
a kiss...(wetness envelopes)
Love ensues.

Melding together. In love and
Breaking rules and preconceived notions.
Doubt? Banished, bringing on
A new life of dreams, freedom --
Shackling down, as glass shards
To form a new, unique love.

The Konti he just met, was intent on his words, but he wouldn't let her see, how amazed he was by her.

Like a hearth warms, the water
feels temperature rise,
while the other groans,
steam coalesces.

Staying solid, they
keep on. Their bodies
antithesis not. Eruptions
and cascades. Water exposes
and gives self to fire fully--
Torrid heat, eroding and mixing
Peals of pleasure and gasps.
Sharp crackling gasps.
Climatic hissing is heard
as dripping embers fall
over their bodies.

Stopping to let them see the beauty, the radiance of such an image, he found himself staring at the Konti, he'd only just met her, but yet he wanted to know more. The island they live, he'd need to visit. But, for some reason he wanted Ora to come with him. Smiling he put on his most flourishing voice.

From that meeting they form
a unique and metamorphic
offspring. Of notions
and acceptance of bond:
lest it not destroy,
lest it not drown.
Instead a love formed

A baby boy
came when
they were one.

He finished and bowed, floating back down beside the Konti.

Ora listened to the Akvatari intently, her eyes remained closed as she let the imagery Phipreas told of fill her mind. She imagined the two forces fighting their way out passionately, trying with all their might and succeeding. Ora listened to the poem end, her mind full of images which remained even after her had finished.

The young woman's eyes opened again once, looking at the plate of food before her, thinking over what she had listened to. Her attention moved from her own thoughts to the man who landed back down next to her. "Did you create that?" Ora asked, her fingers held onto her glass of water, sipping it after she asked him about the poem.

Nodding Phipreas examined her. "It appears you weren't only one to like my tale." taking a short breath he continued, "I wish to write an epic, that everyone shall remember and be celebrated for eons past."

It was his dream and he would get it no matter what, this mattered to him, and nothing, would stop him. He took a long cautious swig of the fluid, letting it wash his tired voice, invigorate him, and give him the strength to carry on.

He was unsure of what he do now, but he had to travel the whole of Mizahar to write his epic and this was going to be difficult, but if anyone could do it, an Akvatarian could. If he had his way everyone would remember Phipreas. He would shine, no shoot towards the sky and never once diminish in his qualties. A sapphire super nova of creativity.

He smiled at the people around him, they loved his performance.
