OOCug I'm sorry how long this took to reply. Not even going to list excuses or reasons why because its unacceptable. However I will make this my last post so we can wrap this thread up
Her question was answered and Erade didnt expect anyone to actually answer her rhetorical question, even if she was truly curious. However it wasn't directed at her but at another patient who was equally curious. She should have been a bit more observant and she would have noticed Azira not more than two beds away from her across the infirmary. The older girl seemed okay just tired but once again the teen was no doctor. Either way she was relieved that the Avora was safe. Erade offered a small smile in her direction.
A doctor quickly saunter in the tiny space of which Erade and the bed she occupied. He seemed irritated or perhaps just in rush because he was quick to check her over. The doctor however took his time unwrapping her foot, feeling her ankle and moving it slightly this way or that way, all while asking her how it happened and if it hurt when he did this. The latter Erade wanted to kick the doctor in the nose but that wouldn't help her situation, instead grinned, bear it and try to remember he is only doing his job.
"The swelling has gone down some but it will take another two or three days for it to go down completely. The idea of putting Winter cherries was some quick thinking. Your ankle isn't broken but it is pretty badly sprained. I am going to rewrap it so the swelling doesn't increase. However will take at least two weeks for it to heal and probably a few months for it to fully feel right again. First week I recommend you avoid walking on it as much as possible and keep this make shift boot on it. The boot will help aid you from putting further stress on your injury." The doctor held up the strange boot before setting it aside and continue wrapping up Erade's ankle in soft cloth.
"By the second week you should be able to walk a bit more but still dont over exert yourself or you will end up back in her, you hear me?" The doctor gave Erade a stern look that said you better not. "One last thing i will have a nurse give you a crutch to use for moments you absolutely have to get around." With that he finished wrapping up the yasi's ankle then wrote a few things down before walking off.
"Wait, can I go see Azira for a bit, I will stay off my foot I promise." Erade asked with an innocent look on her face in hopes to persuade the doctor further. He thought about it for a tick and must have decided that there was no harm for a small visit and nodded his head before briskly walking off again.
Before the yasi could hobble over to the other bed with her friend in it she needed to find her backpack. Erade quickly looked around her bed and found it tucked under the small table next to her. It took an extreme act of balance, mobility, and awkward positioning to get out of her bed, fumble through her backpack and get over to Azira's bed while not putting any weight on her bad foot. Several times she almost fell on her butt and opted to use the sides of the beds to steady herself.
Finally reaching the fiery red head's bed, Erade had her characteristic grin plastered on her face. "Hey how are you feeling? No injuries, pain or the sort?" Erade decided to keep her promise to the doctor but before plopping herself in the bed next to Azira, the teen placed a badly wrapped gift in the huntresses lap.
"Eh, just wanted you to have this.." trailing off and looking a bit embarrassed.
The gift wasn't anything expensive, just something Erade been trying to find the right moment all day to give to the older girl. Inside was a hand woven scarf that the yasi had made it herself. It resembled the one she had made earlier in the season with Drusilla but only difference was it was brilliant hues of blues. The teen had spent most of her free time in the seamstress' room between the archery competition and the hunting trip. Erade in all of her eagerness to make Azira a scarf, the teen didn't realize how long it had become. The scarf could easily wrap around the huntress a few couple times or was probably as long as her if she were to lay down next to it.
Oh well, at least it will keep her warm were Erade's initial diagnosis of the wool scarf. Erade was still proud of her handiwork and it was something to say thank you for the trip, to make up for the archery competition that started all of this and now an apology of sorts for all the trouble she had caused today.
Now to see if Azira liked it or not.
