Oranges? They are okay.

Time Stamp: 23, Winter of 513 A.V.

Before she could exit her cabin she made sure she had her black cloak on hand. Swishing it around her shoulders than taking her warm fingers to fiddle with the metal button until she was able to move it into the fabric. Taking a deep breath she pulled the hood over her face, It was draped slightly over her eyes and almost down to her nose. Great, Another boring day. Rosalie thought to herself as she stepped out into the bone chilling weather.

For some reason Rosalie always found winter so quiet, So still and a perfect time for sleep! But summer, It was something different. Summer for her meant shorts, water, warm weather and light storms that wouldn't include flashes of snow and hail. Even though the Zeltiva storms scared her so, Constant lightning strikes and thunder she loved to wrap her body around the warm covers and listen to the rain.

It was quiet cold but Rosalie always managed to stay warm. Her breath within her lungs was much warmer than the icy chills of the Zeltiva air as it and caused simple condensation. White chills created a smokey has a she exhaled deeply, Managing to weave her way from the Walking though the port city she kept her cloak hood on, Hiding her pale blonde hair. A slight urge to cause trouble emerged from her mind as she came near local fruit stand, For now in the Winter it was very uncommon to get ripe fruit but the seasonal oranges would have to do now.

Grabbing the most bruised and rotted fruit as not to taint the seller's business but improve it by appearance. Rosalie slipped it under her cloak as she continued down the street, Slipping by twists and corners of buildings. Looking for the perfect suspect to throw an unexpected fruit at.

Finally she had found the perfect suspect. A young man. Unable to tell what he looked like she just assumed that they would be forced to fall back and not out run her speed. Quickly she looked around, Making sure there wasn't anybody to see her commit this simple but yet entertaining act. As her caramel colored eyes aimed for her target she threw the orange, She was unaware if it was going to strike her victim but there was something that gave her an excited feeling. Something to brighten her boring days and keep them interesting. It was just another thing Winter needed to be less bleak then it already had been and for the days to come. Maybe there was something more she could do other than spend her days asleep in the high trees surrounding the forest or long days falling asleep at her lonely dinner table while in the middle of a meal, That happened more than it should have really.

Oranges? They are okay.

Postby Juro Eowyien on January 10th, 2014, 8:10 am

Kersplat!

Now what in the world was that?

Well, Juro's intrigue from the curious noise would no doubt lead her to find out. Who knows? The noise from around the corner of the alleyway she was in could be a telltale sign of a monotony breaker, a boredom killer. Winter days like this had a nasty habit of being like that for Juro. Wake up, churn out some arrows and bows for her little fletching business, study some books, eat, and sleep. Come to think of it, she wasn't so entirely sure how she convinced herself to break the usual cycle and go for a walk on this annoyingly chilly day. She didn't like the cold, never had and probably never will. She couldn't lower her hood for fear of the cold penetrating and making her sensitive ears ache, her lips chapped all too easily, and she couldn't even enjoy a nice barefoot stroll through the grassy outskirts of the city to enjoy nature! A frustrating time of year, no doubt.

Averting that steely sapphire gaze of her's up and away from the current tome for Auristics she was studying, her eyes fell upon the corner of the alleyway that blocked her line of sight just enough to deny her visibility of the act. With a shrug, Juro made up her mind to investigate. Closing the tome up with an audible snap and stuffing it tightly into an exterior robe pocket, she leaned off the wall and stepped out.

Slightly to her chagrin, she first observed the messy gobs composed of various hues of orange derived from the similarly named fruit splattered all over the back of a young man. As her eyes fell on the man, it was at that time he recovered and righted himself from the unpleasant citrus-filled assault. Juro was in his peripheral, and the real fruity assailant was not. None too pleased and more so pissed off, the man's angry stride was close to a storm of foot steps as he came to her. She sure didn't have to fall back to her Auristics to know he wasn't a happy camper.

However, Rosalie was in Juro's own peripheral vision. Her sapphire gaze shot over to her to draw to a quick inference that it was in fact her who attacked the man with rotten Vitamin C. And now, to her pleasure, her eyes slightly widened and she could have swore her heart skipped a beat.

Now that is a decent looking trouble maker.

Alas, though, despite the heart-throb beauty her gaze caught, Juro wasn't about to get throttled by an angry stranger for something she didn't do. Without word, she held up a hand to signify him to stop, and then a second later, turned the open palm to an index finger point at Rosalie, letting the man know it was her whom he had problem with, not Juro.

It was probably the fact that Juro in her demeanor was rather conserved, and her appearance more homely than most, that the orange covered man could figure it wasn't her. She just seemed one to mind her manners. And so, the angry man swiveled about to follow Juro's point. Seeing Rosalie, he came for her next.

At this, Juro simply crossed her arms and grinned just a hair. Discord could be fun to watch, so long as said discord didn't involve her. Funnily enough, she had a bit of a feeling that it'd somehow wind up getting her involved as well. She didn't mind it for now, though. As long as she didn't have to get in a fist fight or anything, it could be fun.

Oranges? They are okay.

Postby Brom on January 11th, 2014, 3:23 am

Brom couldn't help but laugh as he watched the scene unfold. He was traveling back to the World Ends Grotto to pick up some food. He wrapped his cloak tighter around his body at the thought of a good meal.

He continued walking down the street passing people by and occasionally waving people high as he walked by someone he knew. Looking at all the huddled crowds, Brom couldn't help but chuckle at them. People seemed to like to complain about winter because it's too cold. 'Well, isn't that the definition of winter? What did they expect? Pool weather?' He thought.

He ambled down the street until he noticed a young woman steal a old rotten orange. 'Why does she need a rotten orange? It can't be to eat it. Ah well, I guess I might just have to follow her and see.' He pulled the hood father down over his face covering his salt and pepper hair and stealthily moved around behind her.

He dodged pedestrians like he was on a minefield and kept tailing her until he saw the mysterious lady launch her orange at an unsuspecting victim. The poor man didn't even see it coming. It absolutely exploded all over him.

And that is why Brom is laughing like a maniac. Eventually, he caught his breathe and was able to walk over to the troublemaker. His bare feet slapped the stone street. The smile was still plastered all over his reaching ear to ear.

"My my, you have quite the aim little lady. Do you do this everyday?" He said questioningly with a slight grin. Noticing her luscious blonde hair, he tried catching a glimpse of face.

Then he caught something out of the corner of his eye. Another onlooker of the hilarious spectacle that was occurring before him, or actually them. She had beautiful sapphire colored eyes. Nothing like anything he had ever seen before and that was saying something. He had been all around the world and he hadn't seen such sharp blue eyes. Still grinning, he winked mischievously at her and continued to watch the event that was unfolding.

Oranges? They are okay.

Postby Rosalie Irvin on January 11th, 2014, 3:55 am

As the orange's juice stained his clothes and dirtied his attire she grinned lightly. First she noticed there was another woman watching her has she committed the harmless crime.

Laughing lightly she gave a curious smile to the girl but once she heard the Hysterical laughter coming from behind her she spun quickly, To see who was behind her. Unintentionally her black hood slipped off her face, Showing her features. Smooth with high cheek bones, Slowly rounding around her frost bitten face from the chills that filled the air, and her lightly tinted skin surrounded by thick-almost white hair. Rosalie's vibrant caramel eyes represented those of a bear and it was rather easy to tell.
Now she had forgot the other witness across the street and even the man who she had it. Surly he would hear the laughter and chase Rosalie down as soon as he got the chance. Examining the man's smile she laughed lightly, " Do what everyday? " Of course she knew he saw her by why not make the most of it? She shrugged with a smile on her face and threw her hands up, " I've done nothing wrong. " As soon as she said that the man that she had hit came stomping towards her.

Turning her head to see clearly he was almost upon him. Bounding forward she patted the man's shoulder, " This is the part where I run." The crowded streets would be easy to lose him but if she was unable to do so then she would out run him by far. Without much hesitation she put the ebony black hood over her head once more and pushed her way though the crowds, Trying to disappear.

Well. That was interesting.

Juro laughed ever so softly in what could be described as a wispy and light voice. And that was all she did, nothing else showed emotion in her mannerisms. But at least one could discern she was amused, especially with the angry man's reaction. Something in his face showed utter bafflement and agitation, but the agitation seemed to overpower the bafflement as a couple seconds after Rosalie bolted, he did as well.

Shame. I would have approached her, had she eyes on a book, not causing mischief.

Her gaze went back down to her robe pocket to pull her tome back out. But lo', eye contact was accidentally made with a man. An older man, she could tell. What was he, a vagabond? His attire certainly seemed to give that vibe, especially the fact he had no shoes. Why would he have no shoes? Her own feet would surely freeze in this temperature. Oh well, if he was a beggar, she could spare a coin, she was somewhat generous. She gave him a respectful smile in return for the mischievous grin that was just ever-so-slightly odd to her.

With the tome pulled from the pocket that it tightly fit in, Juro took a couple steps to a brick wall and leaned on it again. Her attention flitting back to the shrinking silhouette of Rosalie who soon disappeared into a crowd, and the man who probably only chased in vain. Looking down again, she flicked the pages to page fourty-two of the Auristics tome. Eyes to text, she was more or less in her own little world of reclusiveness and knowledge.

The woman turned around to him and dropped her hood, albeit accidentally. Brom was able to catch a look at her magnificent features and he was not disappointed. Her extremely blonde hair complimented her deep caramel eyes rather exquisitely. 'What a sight to behold. And this is the reason this town will never have a negative fertility rate.'

While he wavs studying her eyes, she told him rather innocently, "Do what everyday? I've done nothing wrong." Taking into account her laugh and mischievous look in her eyes, he could tell she was a rambunctious spirit. There was something in eyes. But he couldn't quite place a finger on it.

They both saw the man come charging up at the woman. He looked like a raging bull with an orange splattered all over him. Brom could literally see the steam coming out of his ears.

Turning to Brom and laying a hand upon his shoulder she said, "This is the part where I run." The lady pulled up her dark hood and quickly ran into the thick of the crowd. The man was still chasing her so Brom thought he might help her out a little bit.

Brom pretended to stumble into the man while grabbing a hold of his shirt. He slowly picked himself up while the wild young man tried to continue his chase.

"Oh thank you for catching me. I could of fallen and broken something. It seems that I left my walking stick at home." Patting the now confused wild man, Brom looked him in the eye and gave him a big bear hug. He tried squeezing him as hard as he could to hold him in place until the man finally started yelling and Brom released him. He took off like a racehorse.

"And a good day to you." Suddenly he was all alone. 'My, what a shame.' He thought. Then he remembered the the black haired lady who was watching the funny spectacle unfold. He ambled over to the corner where he thought she was hiding. He turned the corner and saw her reading a book. An auristics book by the looks of it.

"Wasn't that quite the show and such a dreary day?" He said speaking softly so as not to spook her. Most people would find it odd to come up to random people who were minding their own business and chat with them but Brom felt that one couldn't have fun alone so he tried to talk with anyone he had the chance to.

"And why are you reading out in a alleyway in the middle of winter?" His brown asked questioningly. He felt another smile coming up onto the corners of his mouth.

Before she was able to escape the crowd her pursuer was stopped by the same man to whom she spoke to. The conversation was inaudible so she turned her head. Her laughter could have been heard from within the ocean of lifeforms from every direction. Although the distraction was useful it wasn't enough. Still perusing her the young boy pushed a few people to the side and finally got Rosalie in site.

Picking up her feet she broke out into a fast run. Rosalie had a large grin on her face as she looked behind her then kept running. He got a glimpse of her face and he hesitated in chasing her down and so he didn't. Slowly he finally came to a stop. Rosalie turned around then brushed some of the pulp from his shoulder, " Sorry about that. " Looking up to his eyes she offered a light smile and then brushed past him; Leaving him standing there. Slowly she brought her hood lower over her face, Slightly passed her nose. Rosalie's light blonde hair was spilling out onto the black fabric of her ebony black cloak.

A man stumbled out of the tavern and almost bumped into her but she moved back just in time. This was her father. Even though she threatened his life she never touched him.

Oranges? They are okay.

Postby Juro Eowyien on January 11th, 2014, 10:14 pm

"Good sir, the time of year and weather matters not. The act is what matters, and to answer to the reason...because one can never have too much knowledge."

Juro explained this to Brom in matter-of-fact tone, her voice was oddly light, wispy, and seemingly stuck at some monotone level. It could have been mistaken for something condescending, had she not looked back up once with a soft smile. Looking back down, she turned the page and quickly read over the page. The book itself was new to her, she hadn't read it before, but someone who'd watch her eye movement could mistake her for skimming quickly. She didn't, her mind was simply a sponge for information.

"One can also ask; why even be out on such a cold day? Days like this tempt my desire to travel to warmer climates."

Occasionally glancing to and fro from the tome and to Brom, her attention seemed to have been acquired and she could also be figured to be nice enough. Her slightly odd mannerisms had a chance to make her hard to read, though.

Oranges? They are okay.

Postby Raith Sciathoba on January 12th, 2014, 12:37 am

What a day.

The day had started fine enough, but had quickly taken a turn for the worst. Flying into the city was not something he often did, as it took him away from his nes- home. He had alighted upon a roof top and quickly shed his other form, and it was only than, that he released how cold it had been. Damnit!

once again, he had forgotten clothes. He now had to make the unsteady and humiliating climb down from the roof, to the ground. Not that he cared about what people though, of the nude young man, practically tumbling down from atop a building. Well that was one obstacle completed, all he needed now was to find a stall with some cheap cloths.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
He spent the little money he had brought with him on a decent pair of cloths, as he was unable to find anything cheap in the immediate area. But they where worth it. perhaps the finest things he owned (although that wasn't saying much) they felt nice on the skin and did not itch so much like he was used to. Well now it seemed, with his "fine clothes" nothing could go wrong. for once a trip to the city would go well.
Than she came along.
Raith was starting to regret spending so much money on his clothes. His stomach was beginning to protest to the amount of times he had been changing forms recently, and on top of that he now had no money to buy food. He was just contemplating, how to get some food when,
THWAP
Orange ooz covered him, a rotten putrid smell immediately began to emanate from it, It covered his new cloths, and he could already see the stain it was going to leave. His head wiped up the sticky goop, sliding off his chin, where it started to pool at his collar. Spotting the perpetrator was easy, considering the fact that there was only one person in the area; but when he began to walk towards her, she lifted a hand, pointing towards something- no someone that he had missed. And there she was, a devilish grin etched across her face.
he began stalking towards her with murder in his gaze. and than, she was off. he tried to chase after her but was stopped by a foolish old man... with a back breaking hug. When he finally disengaged himself from the situation he hurtled twords the spot he had seen her disappear, stomach growling and tired, he had all but given up when he saw her.
At this distance he could tell that she was beautiful, and it stunned him for a moment, that such a pretty face could to such a devilish thing. But what stunned him more, was when she turned around walked up to him, and wiped some splatter off of his shirt. he stood there for a moment after she left contemplating weather he should just let it go or not.
He chose not. Perhaps she would have gotten away, if not for some drunkard stumbling into her path. So Raith took his opportunity. Running, he grabbed her by the shoulder, whipping her around with such force that she stumbled backwards with the force of it. But when faced with her finally, he was lost for words. All he could stammer out was "you- you- That wasn't very nice..."
Oranges? They are okay.
Postby Rosalie Irvin on January 12th, 2014, 1:45 am
With in the second she came to realization it was her father He almost turned to her but she was quicker. As she was grabbed she saw the same man who she had thrown the fruit at. With a gasp she fell back and bumped into her father.
He retaliated and grabbed her arm but she ripped it from his grasp before he could get a glimpse of her face and Rosalie hesitantly collided with the man and she wrapped her arms around his waist then moved herself behind him.
Using his body to shield her face from her fathers; Lightly pressing her face into his orange smelling clothes she slightly looked out from behind him then pulled the black hood over her face until it was yet again touching her nose.
Rosalie's breath was heavy as the drunk man slowly moved away as he came to reality and thought she was gone but she was only hiding behind the boy. In her quick breaths were signs of shivers, not from the cold weather but the fear.
Her body was warm and her hands gentle as they lay on the his side. Slowly she took her hands from him, Taking in the fact of what a fool she made herself.
