Anthoinus Fighter's Pit training

Postby Kreig Messer on January 24th, 2014, 11:46 pm

'Ello everyone, Kreig is looking for people to teach, 5 miza's each for a single lesson. Can't say Kreig is a good teacher, like many of his skills that one has a long way to go.

However, if you guys are interested then please take a look at this Group Thead. Please read the OOC note if you may, because I want to finish this thread prior to the end of the month if possible. If not then I at least wish for it to keep moving.

Not that I have a problem with Kreig, I don't, love the guy. :) But I would like to know how he is charging people for lessons with 3 XP in teaching? I would also like to know what Gerard has to say about that, given it's his area and he IS the teacher there. Lastly I would love to know what Kreig's patron has to say about him slacking off and spending all his time in the fighting pit?

Just a few questions :)

Anthoinus Fighter's Pit training

Well he needs the funds somehow, plus I've got all my knight related training threads out of the way for this season. Another such thread had been done and graded as well and the fee is a mere 5 gm so I see no issue there.

If I must I could just toss 2 gm Gerald's way for each student their to be no issue with him

As for what his Sera thinks, well... if he's getting his training done then what reason would she have to complain? As I've said I've done enough threads this season to show he's been training and aiming for Knighthood, all submitted and awaiting grading.

And lore wise, even its Novice a person who can teach can still teach...even if its more focused on a much smaller scale.

If there is still any issue I'll change or remove the thread.

First I hope you're not getting upset there buddy, just doing my job. Now then, OOCly I know Kreig squandered all of his money and needs more bad. But ICly squires can't work jobs, they are supposed to give their life to the Knighthood. It doesn't matter if OOCly you've gained 5 points in one skill. ICly most of your time should be spent with your parton. (And no, writing in that your patron gave you permission to slack off all season won't cut it)

Your PC SHOULD be too busy to spend that kind of time training someone else anyway. Further more training someone for pay at the fighter's pit is a JOB. So unless your PC has went through the motions and gotten a job as an instructor you or anyone else shouldn't be taking pay for training others in that area.

I'm not strict on you or any of the other squires, but listen, if you really enjoy having him LIVE in the fighter's pit and want him to get paid for his help, then why not leave the knighthood and become a trainer?

I know your just doing your job Acco.

ICly I can't imagine Kreig spending his whole time training at the Training grounds or spending his time almost exclusively with his patron. Kreig likes to spend free time at places where he feels relaxed, the Fighter's Pit being one such place. And a Squire who spends all his time training reminds me of the saying 'All work and now play makes Jack a dull boy' I don't want to be stuck in one part of a city for the whole season. I've done my bit to get one of the lores, did a large training thread along with a slew of smaller ones, and had him interact with his patron quite frequently in this season. What free time he had this season had been balanced out with knight threads.

As for the job, its a side job, not something he does regularly...one of his students just being someone who offers him meals in return for such lessons. Kreig has things he wants, he doesn't want to rely on the knights for those things especially since he knows he'll get into trouble if he loses anything that is borrowed from them.

Being that the knights offer free food, free training and a place to sleep in turn for being dilligent in their training and true to the Knighthood's ideals such as being a noble and brave heart, which so far Kreig has, then I see no issue. And I can certainly understand why it should be expected of them to do throw almost their entire being into their training. Brawling being what Kreig does best he would perhaps use it in the Spinning Coin, but as Squire's are generally not allowed to do that, he doesn't so teaching seemed like a decent alternative

But as a Squire I'll still want money, I may not NEED it but I'll still want it, people generally want things for themselves after all , especially since Kreig didn't grow up in the order nor in Syliras, and for the reasons above I can guess why the knights don't give an allowance of sort since they allow squires to borrow since they already offer plenty of things.

But dude, really, If you want me to stop the thread I'll do so and I'll stop the job thing <.< No big deal. The only PC student he has we could easily change to become a personal thing rather than a money earning thing, its pretty much already that anyway.

Seriously bro, I won't hold anything against you just for doing your job. If I'm in the wrong and your certain of it, then I'll respect your judgement.
