Appearance

Human Form: In Ssarcarirhyuss' human form, he is a short man (5'4”) with a athletic build (150lbs). Rhyus has long black hair and dark brown to almost black eyes that he normally wears down in the city, but he ties it back in a pony tail if he is out in the jungle. His facial hair is styled into a well kept goatee. If he has leisure time in this form, he normally wears black cotton pants with a loose fitting cotton vest normally a darker toned color other than black, and his foot wear in the city is sandals. If it is cold in Zinrah, he wears a dark blue cotton hooded cloak over his shoulders. When Rhyus is out in the jungle in human form, he tends not to wear much clothing because the extra clothing could be a hindrance if he needs to change forms quickly. The Dhani warrior tends to dress in just a loin cloth, brown leather low boots, dull green bandana, and dull green linen hooded cloak. The warrior normally wears his bastard sword strapped to the back, along with his quiver, and short bow. Rhyus normally uses this form to trek through the jungle or hunting with his short bow.

Dhani Form: Since Ssarcairhyuss is a viper Dhani, he is much smaller physically than the constrictors or rattlers, but he was quite large for viper. In his Dhani form, Rhyus has a fourteen foot serpentine body, well muscled human torso, arms, and shoulder, and black scaled serpents head. Sscarirhyuss' mouth is lined with sharp teeth and two large fangs on the top of his jaw ready to deliver a deadly dose of poison to his victims. The coloring of his scales in Dhani form are black scales on his back and head with a mixture of dark brown to break up the black scales into sections. The scales' color tends to get lighter as the scales get closer to the front of his humanoid torso. The turn from a dark brown, to a reddish brown, dark yellow, to a light tan on the front of the torso. Rhyus normally doesn't use this form for hunting. He normally uses this form in combat because he can hold a weapon and use his natural snake abilities at the same time.

Snake Form: In Ssarcairhyuss snake form, the viper is twelve feet long monster. When he threatened by a enemy or a predator, he coils up his body and delivers quick bites with his long venom fill teeth into his prey. The coloring of his scales in snake form are black scales on his back and head with a mixture of dark brown to break up the black scales into a elaborate design. The scales' color tends to get lighter as the scales get closer to the bottom. The scales turn from a dark brown, to a reddish brown, dark yellow, to a light tan on the belly of the large viper. This natural camouflage gives Rhyus a edge when he hiding in the underbrush or tree to ambush his prey. Ssarcairhyuss normally uses this form to hunt prey or if he needs to sleep over night in the jungle.

Character Concept

Sacarirhyus is a a idealist. Rhyus believes the Dhani of Zinrah deserve better than the hand dealt them by the Myri and her horde of barbarians. Rhyus praises Queen Tanabis for stability and strength that she brings to the throne and her people. However, he also is a realist and knows if his beloved Queen is to lift the moral of her defeated people. His ruler needs to find a way to lift the myrian blockade around Zinrah. He came to the conclusion his Queen needed strong and organized warriors to beat back and bring fear to myrian war machine along the blockade. With this thought in mind, Rhyus dedicated his life to the martial arts and war. He prefers unarmed combat to wrestling because he lacks the strength of the constrictors, but he figured wrestling could come in useful if he encounters myrians or other outsiders to Falyndar, so he continued his lesson in largly dominant by constrictors. Sacarirhyus' day to day job is a hunter, so he tries to do his best avoiding myrians as he learns the layout of jungle to provide food for his people.

When push comes to shove, Sacarirhyus knows that he has a long ways to go before he will ever catch the notice of his Queen. Being a viper, he knows that it will be much harder to catch her eye since she is a constrictor. With this thought in mind, Rhyus lit a fire in his soul to demand perfection in everything he strives to accomplish, and he tries not to make the same mistake twice. When Rhyus was a young-ling, he enjoyed watching the training matching with his mother. The young viper enjoyed watching the wrestling matches of the massive constrictors, but he really enjoyed watching the quick and agile vipers fight hand to hand combat with deadly precision. To Rhyus, the young viper thought the viper matches were a dance with Dira. The beauty and the art of it brought tears to the eyes young Rhyus. Sacarirhyus has a love hate relationship with his bastard sword. The weapon that he choose to wage war against the myrians was the same sword that killed his mother and sister. Even though, Rhyus despised the weapon that delivered the killing blow to his mother. He was amazed how versatile the weapon was because he could wield it with one or two hands. This allowed him flexibility in finding ways to kill his opponents.

Personality

Sacarirhyus realized during his years of rage that he wasn't going to win the hearts of anyone. Being a Dhani who just broods over the death of his family. Everyone in Zinrah suffered by the hands of the myrian barbarians, so one day, he forgave his mother and sister's murders and respected them as fellow warriors. At that moment, the years of rage ended, and he reverted back to his old self, but in his mind, he felt much stronger and wiser. At a early age, Sacarirhyus was a adventurous young-ling. He loved trying to escape the nursery to explore the vastness of the caves of Zinrah, but most of the time, his adventures were cut short by the quick hands of the nursery attendants or Siku Priestesses. Rhyus is a Dhani who speaks his mind. He isn't afraid to tell anyone what he thinks. Sometimes it get him in trouble with the ego of a constrictor, but he always tries to talk his way out of trouble before resorting to violence.

Rhyus has a outgoing personality that can be borderline obnoxious if he gets into one of his playful mood. It is easy to become a acquaintance of him, but it is much harder for him to consider a person a friend. The viper personally doesn't consider himself a ladies man, but from time to time, he often finds himself with a flirting with a female. If they aren't interested, he quickly changes the subject to not annoy them. In truth, Rhyus is a opportunist if he can turn a encounter into a opportunity to further his goals. The viper will jump on it. However he tries not to let his ambitious nature hurt his friends in anyway. He would often turn down alliances with a potential ally to not hurt the feelings of a good friend. Since he has no more family, he treats his friends like family. Rhyus had lovers before, but he never truly was in love with anyone.

History

Snakeling Years (390AV-415AV)

Sacarirhyus was one of six snakeling his mother gave birth too. Rhyus was the most colorful of his brood with a elaborate mixture brown, orange, yellow and black scales. As a snakeling Rhyus remembered his favorite time was hunting the mice in the ruins with the rest of his five siblings, wrestling with his five sisters, or curling up with them for warmth. It was a happy time for the young viper especially when his mother came by to check on his sisters and him. He remembered when his mother came to visit. He would always race his sisters to be the first one to see her. As Rhyus got older, he found that he had a special attachment to one of his sister. She was dull looking snakeling with mixture of black and off white scales. He would often curl up with her for warmth while his other sisters basically ignored them.

Young-ling Years (415AV-435AV)

Sacarirhyus remembered his youngling years quite fondly since this was time that he speak common and learning how to change into his Dhani form. During these years, Rhyus started to realize that he was quite a competitive Dhani especially in physical activities and hunting. During these years, Rhyus' tormented the nursery attendants because he would always try to find ways to escape the nursery to explore the caves out. He would never succeed, but the look on the constrictors human faces were priceless. He always had to be the best at everything otherwise he would would get mad and throw a temper tantrum. His sisters always scolded him for being such a sore loser, but he was prideful Dhani and pout in the corner. Eventually, he grew out of it and started to laugh at himself weakness. Sacarinafarye, who curled up with him as a snakeling, the smallest of his five sisters with black and white scales followed Sacarirhyus like a puppy since he would always stick up for her if she got picked on by other constrictors, rattlers, or vipers. She was a shy Dhani who thought the world of her brother. This of course added to the colorful little viper's ego even more.

Young Adult years (435AV-485AV)

The early part of his young young adult years. Rhyus and Nafarye were inseparable. Unlike the other four sisters the Rhyus and his sister Nafarye both had the same interest in hunting, acrobatics, and unarmed combat. Nafarye was much better at acrobatics as him, but he excelled at unarmed combat. At this time, his mother noticed that both Rhyus and Nafarye had taken a interest in her profession, so she started to personally teach them how to hunt in the more wild caves of Zinrah. She new well enough that it would be two dangerous to take them out into the jungles at this age. The bond between his mother and sister grew during these fifty years as he learned to be a productive part of society.

In school, Ssacarirhyuss was a average student. He learned how to read and write, but he wasn't any good at math. Rhyus' was mostly interested in the physical arts that he learned from his mother and the trainers in the Training Hall. However, he did pay attention to history, especially ancient battles between his people and the myrians, and his theology coarse on Siku and Caiyha. His mother raised him to be devote to both, but when he got older religion became a afterthought to the other goals and dreams in his life.

During this time in his life, Rhyus would learn about the physical strength and weaknesses of his Dhani form. He learned that he was twice as fast as any constrictor, but he had no were the strength to best them in wrestling matches, so he started concentrated his strengths as a viper. He was fast and agile, so he got into acrobatics and unarmed combat if he couldn't best a constrictor in a straight up show of strength. He would our maneuver the big behemoths and hit them with quick strikes. However, he needed to not forget about his weakness, so he kept up with wrestling to build up his strength and endurance.

During these years there was a rift growing between his other four sisters excluding Nafarye. Rhyus noticed that he had the same competitive drive as his other four sisters, so his personality would oven clash with his other sisters. He would often get in shouting matches, name calling, and a few times words almost gave way to blows as they constantly emotionally manipulated Nafarye against each other and tried to control his life. He would have written them out of his life entirely, but his mother quickly put a stop to the piety bicker between her children when she was around.

Golden Years (485AV-500AV)

The Golden Years of his life was the time when he really started to shape himself as a Dhani. During this time in his life, Rhyus defined himself as a warrior. All his spare time would devolving his martial skills, so he can best defend himself from the dangers of Falyndar. He noticed in his human form that he could move much differently than in his Dhani form, so he started to focus on his weapon skills like his bastard sword and long bow. Both weapons could be used in Dhani form, but he had much more opinions in human form especially in tight spots. He started to running around the cave and jungle, climb trees and swimming in the rivers too if he was going to survive the harshness of the jungle. He had to learn about all his forms.

His relationship with his mother Nemataveruss and sister Nafarye started to blossom around this time. He considered them his true family because he couldn't stand to be around his other siblings. The trio would often go out on hunting trips as a family. Being away from the political and social pressure was nice for the young warrior because he would often get burned out with dealing with the swollen heads of the constrictor sub-race, or his sisters trying to make their way up the social ladder. It was tiring to watch and his mother and sister wanted nothing to do with the city, so it was refreshing for him to spend his free time them.

Years of Rage (500AV-510AV) (I won't role-play these years until my skills level are high enough to do so.)

When Ssacarirhyuss was just starting to blossum into a fine hunter and warrior. His mother, sister, and him went out a hunting trip into the jungle wilds of Falyndar. During the hunt, his sister and him got separated from their mother. When they realized it, they went searching for her. When they found their mother, she was laying bleeding on the ground with a spear in her chest. Around the body of his dead mother, Rhyus saw a a dead myrian male with a spear laying dead besides the of his mother's lifeless Dhani body. Also he saw a severely injured and poisoned myrian woman with a tiger design etched into the leather trying to pull the sword out of his mother body. In a blind rage of vengeance, Nafarye and Rhyus overwhelmed the myrian woman, but his sister suffered a mortal wound in the stomach in the battle. She died a week later when Rhyus had to put her out of her misery.

These were dark years for the young Ssacarirhyuss. Rhyus only came to the city to eat and sleep. He cared nothing for his people or the rest of his other sisters because his true family was dead. During this time, Rhyus declared a personal war against the myrians. He would often head out into the head out into the jungle for days to hunt myrians and prey. Using the skills that he honed during his century of training, Rhyuss would hunt, kill, and torture Myri's children if they were stupid enough to stray away from the safety of the barricade or Fang. When he killed one of them, he would bring back his victims heads to the severed heads to Marrow for profit. During this time, Ssarcarirhyuss would barely talk to anyone in the city. He had no use for Dhani who would hide in the safety of the Pit, or Zinrah. While the hunters would be risking their lives for the layabouts of the city. If he was outside of him, he would often try to drown his sorrows in the Distillery, or give into carnal needs and find himself in some stranger's bed. Nothing mattered to accept finding temporary fixes to fill the hole his family left in his heart; however, in the end nothing really filled the vacant hole.

Years of Rebirth (510AV-Present)

After his family's death, it took him a years to control his anger over his families death, but eventually, he turned his rage into something positive. Eventually, Ssarcarirhyuss learned how to forgive the myrian's who killed his family with the help of religion. Rhyus became a devote follower of Siku. During these years of reflexion, Rhyus decided put his city first before his selfish ambitions. In a prayer to Siku, he promised her that he would do his best to bring down the barricade and help the Queen fulfill her dreams for the city of Zinrah and the Dhani people.[/indent][/color][/frame2]
