The unassuming den of the Constrictor Dhani, it is truly a pit of snakes. Travelers should take care, because the Dhani are always hungry... [Lore]

The days were bleeding. Gwen could barely recall the time of day let alone which. It could be the beginning of the season or the end. In the long run it hardly mattered. Guards did nothing, hunters did little, the people of Zinrah hardly moved. For Gwen it felt much the same as usual but neither Passa or anyone else scolded her laziness. Today was no different, it had taken a simple huff in the direction of a fellow guard to announce her early leave for the day and she'd been off to The Distillery.

Inside said distillery Dhani lazed about. Always steady in flow Gwen was not surprised by the patrons but by the amount. Dhani drank, laughed, snored on tables, under them, and some even hung from hollow near the roof. They covered near every inch of space. It clicked after a few ticks of struggling to squeeze her snake form in passed the entry way that it would be too big for this crowd. In the short span of a chime Gwen had both made her decision and shifted. Her tail shrunk with her torso expanded, as if all the extra weight had surged up for lack of anywhere else to be. The head did little but adjust in size while arms sprung from her human-esque chest. With a little flex to shake off any slipped scales Gwen cut through traffic with slow deliberation. Booze or not there was no reason to hurry.

When she reached the bar Gwen did not bother to find a seat, she coiled up behind the nearest snake and struck foreword between the gaps. She thought it should bother her that it was not near as quick as it should have been. But dwelling on anything was tiresome. Rather than waste her waking hours bored and awake she'd like to be drunk and asleep. In human form her lips would stretch into a grin. In this form, her eyes could only melt in a pleased manner. "One ssstarburssst, five mosssss cordial, and a white ssscale, pleassse."

"Ssshortly, sssister."
Came the few chimes delayed reply. Today Gwen was not bothered, she retracted her head then let herself fall into the sway of ease that gripped the room--

--when she had received her drinks, Gwen could not say. How long she had been drinking wasn't answerable either. Like some she could have been there for an entire day. But the drink was rousing her, shaking off whatever fog of the city with the fog of ale, wine, and other fine drinks. She was far passed the point of a pleasant warmth in her belly. There was a fire under her scales. Energy suppressed for the last few days threatened to pop off her scales one-be-one if she didn't do something. The thought alone was enough build upon the feeling. Yet, she wanted a nap. Conflicted the Dhani had abandoned one of her many drinks to pace the room.

Gwen was unsure of what she sought until she found it. It was another Dhani, one who was not like the others. He held the same dazed looked that any held as of the late but he lacked the drunken film that coated the distillery.

"You! You will wressstle me, we ssshall sssee if drink can dare ssstop me." Gwen's body was wound lazily behind her, but her torso and head curved towards him. Her eyes were alight with drunken glee. Loud was her challenge, drunk the Dhani were but you didn't just turn down a request. Especially not from a Gwen. She wouldn't stand for it. "Well, come male. You are not afraid," this was not meant as a taunt but as statement. It was simply not possible to fear this. And there was no want to hurt in this challenge. Not that he would know, he was only a piece to expunge the energy that stopped her nap. "Ssso ssstand."

Happy Hour [Xen]

The home of the constrictors, Zinrah, was plagued by this affliction which caused its people to suffer at the hands of sloth. Xen was no exception even with his wounds healed; his flair had been suppressed by this force. He remembers dragging his feet across the cool and moist stone floor in the caves before reaching The Distillery. There were so many constrictors lying about and it seemed like only a few of them had the strength to fight against this sickness. Xen remembers how heavy his body felt as he walked through the caverns to find his home. However, despite his courageousness, he couldn’t find his bed—sloth was too much for him.

“Ugh…”

Xen wakes up in The Distillery from his nap slash daze and looks around. He makes eye contact with a drunk and loud constrictor, who then approaches him. Xen sat up and leans back in his chair to correct his posture and stares at the dhani—he knew things were either going to get weird or crazy. Xen wasn’t particularly sure what a constrictor would want from him, he stayed to himself and avoided watchful eyes. The more uninteresting you were, people will have no reason to bother you or seek to test your skills. Xen followed this motto along with many others to preserve his way of life—he was true to his ambush predator nature.

“Wressstling…”

Xen had to allow the haziness from his mind clear for a moment before he accepted such a challenge. The constrictors loudness doesn’t help either, it only adds to the massive headache this whole situation in Zinrah was. Xen stands to his feet and adds a bit of space between him and the drunken female constrictor. The rest of the constrictors in the bar were so tired that they couldn’t muster up the strength to do much of anything. Xen could only look at his tired cousins and sigh—he needed to take this fight elsewhere. Xen believed he could persuade this constrictor to take this challenge elsewhere, as a bar wasn’t the ideal place to wrestle.

“If you want to wresstle then let’ss head to the training gallery. I want to avoid being given a bill for damaged tabless and chairss.”

Xen believed this was a good route to take. He could avoid harming the other constrictors and those trying to rest in peace within The Distillery. However, would his companion comply or simply try to wrestle him anyway?
