[Sylira OOC Chat] Crossroads

A gathering place for all OOC Wildlands discussion.

(This is a thread from Mizahar's fantasy role playing forum. Why don't you register today? This message is not shown when you are logged in. Come roleplay with us, it's fun!)

While Sylira is by far the most civilized region of Mizahar, countless surprises and encounters await the traveler in its rural wilderness. Called the Wildlands, Syliran's wilderness is comprised of gradual rolling hills in the south that become deep wilderness in the north. Ruins abound throughout the wildlands, and only the well-marked roads are safe.

I forgot to note that Mizahar is blocked at our school. It apparently contains prohibited "Games" content. Probably because of the "Writer's RPG" slogan.

Garland, Yeah, but being a storyteller seems to take more time than that, usually.

It's not a slogan, I just couldn't figure out a better way to word it. It's the Mizahar, The Writer's RPG thing.
Where are you planning on JrSTing, anyway? So we aren't in the same place.

Athaera, JrSTs generally hold less responsibility than a full AS. Think of it as a "trainee" position before you may eventually move up to AS, or just for juniors who want to contribute in a capacity less than that of AS and up. You don't have to spend several hours per day on the position. Most STs put in a few hours a week, sometimes more, as there's time available.

It varies from domain to domain, as well. Some are more active and require more attention overall. In the end, it's up to you if you feel you have some free time to spare to contribute to the game as more than a player. :) There is no set time requirement in that regard, but as long as a Storyteller can be around and keep up with their workload at least a few times a week, every other day, then that's usually fine. (As long as you're upfront about downtimes and all.)

Garland, you get a recommendation by asking for one, really. You speak with a Storyteller you want to get a recommendation from (preferrably one you want to work more with in the future or who would know you better than the others) and go from there. Then that Storyteller with either agree or decline, and then post that recommendation in the Help Desk when you post your application. The recommendation is basically that Storyteller backing your application up to give you visible support.

Well, you can do it in whichever order you like but it's generally a good idea to get a recommendation first so you don't feel silly sitting there with a finished application but no one standing by to recommend you. :) Getting the recommendation beforehand is advised.
