This is Falyndar at its finest. Danger lurks everywhere - in the ground, in the trees, in the bush. Only the strongest survive...

There were many things in Citlali's mind that she wisely withheld behind her scaled maw, from observations to the current situations and what she thought should be done. In a moment of embittered thought, she even went so far as to consider suggesting letting Matli rip the Akila's jaws from her throat, to whatever fate that would leave the female in.

Citlali supposed that Matli wouldn't appreciate the sentiment. It was enough to humour Citlali, however, and even as she assisted Yolotl in prying those crushing jaws from their sister, she chuckled.

When the deed was done and Matli had retreated to tend to herself, Citlali backed from the situation to survey the carnage left in their wake with a carefully dispassionate air that suggested how little these animals meant to her aside from satisfying the ever present ache in her stomach.

"Sssomeone could have been hurt," she added as she started collecting corpses to bring together. It might have been her first hunt, but she felt the need to keep these things together, if only so one of them would not be left to find the last of the corpses.

It also gave her a moment to consider what had transpired, but it was a moment she did not appreciate.

When she returned, done her self-assigned task, she looked over the corpses for her own to feed on. The temptation to eat the largest had her mouth watering at the thought.

"No sssense travelling on an empty ssstomach, afterall. Are you joining usss, Matli, or are you going to lick your woundsss a bit more?" Citlali fancied she was antagonising her sister a bit much, but she truly did find the fact her sister suffered such injury to be entertaining. Eventually, she herself selected one of the females. It was not the alpha that had locked onto Matli so powerfully, although she wanted the dog. Sense won out in the end; she was a large Dhani and moved slow enough as it was. It was truly not worth it to grow even slower on the flesh of a large hound.

Following Yolotl's lead, she began to 'portion' her prey, swallowing the Akila limb by limb and shivering in satisfaction when she had food in her stomach.

Matli glared daggers at both of her siblings, finding a middling sized Akila to rip apart in a similar fashion to the both of them and consume. She would have time to get the both of them back for their insubordination eventually...she simply didn't excel at this task of hunting that was so far beneath her. If Citlali wanted to play in the dirt...well fine.

Time was given for everyone to at least partially digest their meal before collecting the remaining corpses to bring back to the cavern, quite the successful hunt indeed. Yolotl heaved two Akila's, the largest among them over each shoulder. Once his sisters joined him he slithered in pace beside Citlali.

"You have much potential ssisster, I will tell the other hunterss when we return that a new recruit has joined our rankss. I know you will make Zinrah proud." He gave her a respectful nod and drew ahead of her, leading the way back to Zinrah.
