The Diamond of Kalea is located on Kalea's extreme west coast and called as such because its completely made of a crystalline substance called Skyglass. Home of the Alvina of the Stars, cultural mecca of knowledge seekers, and rife with Ethaefal, this remote city shimmers with its own unique light.

Koten Temple

Koten Temple is one of the most magnificent structures in Lhavit, close in sheer architectural beauty and elegance to the Twuele. Settled at the northeastern point of the Zintia, it overlooks the Surya Plaza and at night, it is one of the mightiest buildings to glow under Zintila's influence. Fitting, for this is her temple; it also serves as the home for a handful of her priests and priestesses, and was the home of her ex-Anchorite, Hayani. The steps that lead from the plaza to the temple are decorated with a mosaic of skyglass depicting the sun, moon, and stars; at night, the mosaic glows brightly.

ImageThe structure itself towers, and is composed of two levels. The entrance begins at a pair of large, clear crystalline doors with doorknobs carved to resemble stars. During the day, the temple looks like any ordinary building in the city, but at night, glows from the very essence of Zintila herself. Upon entering, there is a wide entrance hall with four separate Shinya stationed around; two near the front doors, and two near the three archways at the back. A skyglass staircase is set off to the right. The architecture here is sublime, and the candles that are put on display are hidden behind blue-tinted glass imported from Wind Reach, giving the room a faintly blue-tinted light that enhances the mystical atmosphere.

The center doorway at the back of the entrance hall leads to a prayer room; here, any who wish to pray to the Star Lady, or discuss her teachings with others, may come freely and as they wish. The room is circular, and the ceiling made of crystal-clear skyglass to allow for the stars to shine through and illuminate the room at night. The floor is covered in a detailed embroidered carpet, depicting the sun and moon surrounded by hundreds of stars. There are plush navy and violet cushions for those who wish to sit on the floor, and a few simple circular tables with similarly-cushioned chairs. The room is, overall, elegant but simple, and allows for the followers of Zintila to express their prayers however they wish so long as they are respectful of others.

The far left and right archways lead to the private abodes of Nemue and the few priests and priestesses of Zintila that reside in the temple; it is strictly forbidden for outsiders to enter these areas, to the point that the Shinya will not hesitate to dispose of intruders.

The stairs to the right lead to the smaller upper level, opening to a single, large circular room where Zintila or Nemue may be present, possibly the both if they are meeting to discuss something of importance. It is furnished with a magnificently carved desk, several skyglass statues, and comfortable, indigo velvet chairs. The floor is laid with navy blue rugs and a crystal chandelier hangs overhead. One requires prior permission to enter the second level and to see Nemue, or even Zintila herself.

Nemue
ImageName: Nemue
Race: Ethaefal (Night)/Drykas (Day)
Birthdate: 214 AV
Birthplace: The Suvan Sea
Occupation: Priestess of Zintila at the Koten Temple
Gnosis: 3 marks of Zintila (Akarni level 3)
Skills: Auristics - 60, Leadership - 55, Philosophy - 32, Politics - 50, Rhetoric - 45, Weapon (Dagger) - 15
Languages: Common (Fluent), Pavi (Fluent)

Nemue is a quiet, contemplative soul. She always has a serious expression on, and is very calm and deliberate in all she does. She is also very honest and genuine; she never bothers to sugarcoat the truth, but nor is she needlessly cruel. Instead, she strives to simply be as honest and open as possible, and to help those who come to her as best as she can.

At night, Nemue is moderately tall at an even 6'0"; her eyes are a deep, vivid indigo, and her pale skin is smooth like marble. Her silky hair is always smoothed back and down, tied in a secure knot at the base of her neck, and her horns stretch up and back in a twist.

During the day, Nemue takes the form of a short woman with dirty blonde hair and bright green eyes. Her skin is tanned, and every inch covered in pale scars or intricate, beautiful tattoos; this has made her very recognizable, and once someone sees her mortal seeming, they don't easily forget it.

Nemue is an Ethaefal of Leth who fell into the Suvan Sea near Alvadas; she spent some time there, but eventually found her way to Lhavit, where she decided to stay. She has been a loyal follower of Zintila for many years. Under Hayani's rule as Anchorite, she found herself uncertain; she was close to the older Ethaefal, but found her ideas off-putting. After the Day of Discord, Nemue watched Hayani slowly lose herself; but close as she was to the Anchorite and trusted by her, she attempted to do damage control.

In the end, it didn't work. Nemue grew further and further from Hayani, disgusted and afraid by the other Ethaefal's actions and growing madness, and was almost relieved when the day came that the Anchorite was put to the sword. While Nemue remains to have only three marks from Zintila, she has unofficially taken over Hayani's previous position at the temple, becoming an unofficial leader of the other priests and priestesses there. There are whispered rumours that when Zintila feels the time is right, she will become the next Anchorite, but for now they remain that way; simply rumours.

Hayani
★ ★ ★Note: As of spring 513 AV, Hayani was executed due to madness, power corruption, and treasonous activities; therefore, she may only be used in flashbacks prior to this date, and only with ST permission.

ImageName: Hayani
Race: Ethaefal (Night)/Human (Day)
Birthdate: 132 AV
Birthplace: The Ahger Ocean
Occupation: Priestess and previous Anchorite of Zintila at the Koten Temple
Gnosis: 3 marks of Zintila (Akarni level 3), 2 marks of Leth (Telepathy level 2)
Skills: Hypnotism - 71, Politics - 38, Projection - 60, Reimancy (Air, water) - 34, Rhetoric - 33, Subterfuge - 51
Languages: Common (Fluent)

Hayani is an odd Ethaefal indeed, for she was one of the few that did not see her fall as a mistake. One of Leth's fallen, she quickly came to accept her fate, seeing it as a way for to serve her gods in the mortal realm. On the surface, she is kind, generous and infinitely patient, with eyes that speak of centuries long passed. But do not let her placid appearance fool you. Within she roils with feeling and furthermore, discontent. Following the Day of Discord, she was stripped of her position as Anchorite and left as an example. Zintila reclaimed a single gnosis mark, demoting her from the current champion to a priestess.

Hayani is as divine as a fallen star can be. During Leth's reign, she exudes an opalescent sheen on her skin, pale and shimmering, colder and fairer than ice. Her hair too, changes colors during the season, and her iridescent horns are double-pronged. Hayani's eyes are a brilliant shade of silver, and her expressions seem usually serene. At 6'2", she towers over many other people.

During the day, Hayani takes the form of an olive-skinned woman with almond-shaped grey eyes and black hair. In this mortal form, she stands at 5'8", with a slender figure and delicate hands. She walks with an air of grace no matter the form and she seems to radiate a deep, unwavering note of pride.

Sayim
★ ★ ★Note: As of spring 513 AV, Sayim was killed alongside his bondmate; therefore, he may only be used in flashbacks prior to this date.

ImageName: Sayim
Race: Kelvic (Okomo)
Birthdate: 513 AV
Birthplace: Lhavit
Occupation: Bondmate and mount to Hayani
Skills: Hypnotism - 62, Investigation - 42, Morphing - 21, Subterfuge - 21, Unarmed Combat - 31
Languages: Common (Fluent)

Sayim is Hayani's Okomo Kelvic bondmate and mount. He is devoted utterly to her, and accompanies anywhere she might go. He may appear intimidating to some, towering even taller than Hayani at 6'4", and many citizens tend to move out of his way should he approach them on the streets. He is known to be stubborn and blunt, albeit a strict herbivore. At times, Sayim is prone to outbursts, frequently threatening those who might get in his way, but a gentle hand from Hayani quickly steadies his temper. Sayim's hair is a dark gradient of blue to purple, the same as his fur when he is in his Okomo form.

This location is free to self-moderate except in the case of wishing to see and/or speak with Hayani (flashbacks only), Nemue, or Zintila on the second floor; in that case, please contact your ST for permission and more information.
