A Wild Newbie Appears!

Heya, everyone! My name is Ashley, though the character I'm aiming for is known as Kala'nika. I probably won't have her character sheet submitted until the start of next year, though, because I have a jaw surgery the first of December, along with a couple weeks of recovery to look forward to (meaning I will be sleeping those days by).

Anyway, more about me and how I came here. I'm a prospective English Education student to BYU-Idaho, though I am currently working on my general education courses online right now. I'd be up there in Idaho instead of here in California if it weren't for the braces. But after the surgery, I only have a few more months, and then I can move on up there! Part of the reason I am pursuing English Education is because I love writing. Writing has been my passion since I was twelve, and ever since my father introduced me to the wonders of post-by-post role-playing (I can't even remember the name of the site he showed me), I've had a hankering for doing it on a long-term basis.

So, I pretty much googled "post-by-post RPG" and eventually came across this site. I'm sticking with this one because the world you've got going is fantastic, and something that has just enough structure and just enough autonomy that I feel neither restricted nor abandoned. There are many different plot ideas I have for many different characters, but the one I'm going with right now is sort of a test character, to help me better understand how this all works. I don't think I'll get really crazy until the second character.

One quick question: Does Mizahar allow music boxes? I know gadgeteering is a thing, but I'm not sure whether it's enough of a thing to allow music boxes to exist. I was hoping that the family heirloom for my character would be a music box, but if music boxes aren't a thing, then that's totally fine and I can figure something else out.

I'm looking forward to getting to know you guys better and to playing this fascinating world!

Music Boxes do exist, but they are immensely expensive and take a long to make, so having one as an heirloom isn't possible.
