"Kelvic."
Alex gasped, all of his suspicions confirmed. At first, he didn't believe it. He couldn't believe it. Is it possible that one of his life goals could finally be accomplished? He had met Kelvics in the past, but they always either had someone bonded to them, or they seemed too independent to bother with a bond mate, especially one as troubled as he.
It was then that he stared down at his clothes, checking to make sure he was presentable. He had absolutely no idea why he was doing this, it's not like Amelie would pick him as a bond mate. Then again, he was pretty sure that she liked him enough. Maybe... there was a chance...?
He thought back to the time he spent with his stepfather. Studying and learning the history of the Kelvic race. He knew almost everything about them. Of course, the only thing about Kelvics Alex didn't know, was what the bond was like. He knew that it was almost never a slow process, and that it was very similar to falling in love. Maybe that's why he was feeling the way he was earlier...?
But then again, he wasn't even sure if Amelie even wanted to bond with him. It's very possible that she only invited him to her home just to be polite. He pushed the thought away. He knew that she liked him, she had even said it to her mother of all people.
"R-really...? That's... amazing! What species, if you don't mind me asking?" He asked, completely intrigued. |

Amelie
Well. Amelie wasn't expecting a gasp. Maybe something like a glare, silence, or he would say something and he leave or something but not a gasp. Was it a good gasp or a bad gasp? Did he wish she was human or was excited about meeting a Kelvic? To be honest she hadn't met anyone who was excited with what she was.
She saw a lot of things going through his mind and wondered if anything them were good. She looked down at clothes; a bit mussed but clean.
Wait, why am I checking myself? It's not like he is judging me.... Or is he? Maybe he has been judging me this whole time and now I said who I was, he is judging me even more? I wonder what he heard of Kelvics... Amelie shook herself of her maybe paranoid thoughts. Of course Alexander isn't judging her...
"R-really...? That's... amazing! What species, if you don't mind me asking?"
He seemed intrigued; that could either be a good or a bad thing. She had never read anything about bondmates being judged. But that species thing he said, she had no idea about. She decided she should just go along with it, whether she was being judged or not and see where this leads... Maybe she learn something.
"Species? I don't know what you mean." |

Alex noticed that she seemed to be awaiting nervously for his response, almost as if she cared so much about his opinion. She even looked down and checked herself, seeming worried that she wasn't presentable. This relieved him, it was good to know that he wasn't the only one worried about his appearance.
Why is she, though? She looks just fine. He thought to himself. Then another suggestion hit him... Does she think I'm judging her or something? The thought seemed silly, but it comforted him to know that he was not the only one feeling judged at this point.
"Species? I don't know what you mean."
Huh? What does she mean by that? He thought, before realizing that he should have specified a little better. Of course, he couldn't expect her to know what he meant just by "species".
"Oh! S-sorry about that..." Dammit, you fool! Stop being so apologetic! She might think you're weird or something... He scolded himself once again. Of course, there was no denying that Alex was a little strange at times, but it was no way to present himself in front of a Kelvic who may or may not take a liking to him...
"Um... What I meant was... What animal are you? What do you shift into?" He asked, scratching the back of his neck. |
"I've never failed anyone, because there isn't anyone in my life who I can make proud."

Amelie
Amelie found it reassuring and almost silly that they both seemed to be nervous. They might not be bondmates despite the queer feelings that still dance around. She had never felt like this before. Most people didn't give her a second glance unless she was doing something strange. And most of her time she was either drawing or running through the woods.
"Oh! S-sorry about that...
Amelie noticed he stammered a lot. It must be due to his nerves. He was a nervous person, she thought. She thought herself good and guessing things about people.
"It's okay." She smiled her most friendly smile in an attempt to stop him becoming nervous. She couldn't have a nervous bondmate; that wouldn't be very useful and she needed a useful bondmate.
"Um... What I meant was... What animal are you? What do you shift into?"
"Oh! Right. I shift into a wolf. I could show you if you like?" She hoped he wasn't bothered by her undressing; she wouldn't shred her clothes just because of him bondmate or not. Then again he could go outside but that wouldn't do good either if she wanted children...
WHOA, where did that come from? She shook her head and shivered. Mental note: Never think about that again. |

When Amelie smiled and accepted his apology, Alex almost immediately felt reassured, and he slowly began to calm down. It was obvious that she didn't want a bondmate who was always so timid. All right, kid. Time to calm down before she rejects you. Deep breaths...
"Sorry I'm so nervous right now. I... um... I really like Kelvics. My stepfather used to study them, and... I guess he got me hooked. I know quite a bit about them, and... well... to be bonded with one is my dream... He explained. He hoped that this will reassure Amelie that he wasn't always so nervous like this.
"Oh! Right. I shift into a wolf. I could show you if you like?"
At this, the boy's eyes practically lit up with excitement. Did she really just offer to show him her wolf form? His heart thudded within his chest with anticipation and he... once again... began to blush. Of course, not many could blame him for this. It certainly wasn't often that a Kelvic offered to show him their true animal form.
"Wait, are you serious?" He said, finding it hard to believe that she would make such a gesture. He was unsure what to say for a moment, before making up his mind.
"Y-yeah. Yes, that would be cool. I mean... if you're comfortable with it. Would you... like to go outside?" |

Amelie
Amelie sensed and saw Alexander calming down. This was good. Him being less nervous was good.
She listened to him tell her that he is really intrigued by Kelvics and it would be his dream to be bonded to one. Well it is your lucky day She thought.
When she mentioned if he would like to see her shift, his eyes lit up and he blushed. She could hear his heart hammering and he looked anticipated. Amelie smiled at this. She hadn't met anyone that really appreciated her or seeing her shift.
When he asked to go outside Amelie nodded and took Alexander's hand and led him out to the very large garden. She took her clothes off all except for her underwear and bra.
She stood and waited a few moments then shifted smoothly to her wolf form which was a grey/white fur colour and electric blue eyes. She shook herself and looked at Alexander. |

Once again, Amelie grabbed Alex's hand and practically dragged him through the house and out the back. Mary was still in the kitchen cooking when she turned and glanced at the two hurrying out. Had they not been in a hurry, Alex would have reassured the woman that everything would be fine. No doubt she was a bit surprised at the two walking quickly through the house...
They went quickly through the apartment and out the back door into what looked like a large garden. He was impressed with how abundant the garden looked. Beautiful flowers here and there, a few vegetable gardens recovering from the harsh winds and freezing snow of Winter... It seemed like a peaceful place to just sit and lounge about...
Then Amelie began stripping down to her undergarments. At first, Alex watched her, seeming to be lost in a trance. She looked amazing, and almost completely flawless...
He quickly turned away, blushing furiously. Note to self... try not to stare to much at a girl who gets undressed in front of you if you want to avoid looking like a total creep... He thought to himself.
He was about to stutter another awkward apology before he sneaked another peek, and noticing that in Amelie's place was a very large wolf with grey fur and piercing, icy blue eyes. Alex was completely speechless, until he was finally able to utter one word...
"Wow..." |

Amelie
Amelie shook herself, shaking off anything part of her undergarments that was still on her. Then she looked at Alexander.
"Wow."
Amelie looked at herself. She guessed she wow, no-one really took notice even when she was walking down the street.
She changed back and quickly put on her clothes and watched Alexander's expression. She hoped he wasn't too grossed out about her changing or changing back into her human form which had no clothes.
She ran her hands through her hair. It always got a little mussed after she shifted.
Damn, forgot my brush. She sighed.

Alexander Ross
Alex was speechless when Amelie transformed to her wolf form, but he was even more surprised when she changed back into her humanoid appearance. While she was in her wolf form, she had shaken off her undergarments and any remaining clothing she had on. Once she had changed back, Alex once again was hypnotized by her... before realizing she was naked and quickly averting his eyes.
"Oh... Sorry for staring..." He said, blushing furiously for the hundredth time. Why are you so shy? If she minded at all, she would have said something... much less not even take off her clothes in front of you in the first place! He thought to himself. The thought seemed a little suggestive and silly at first, but the more he thought about it, the more likely it seemed.
"Well... I mean... Unless it's all right... Be cause you are very beautiful, and... um..." Shut up, shut up, SHUT UP! You idiot! You'll make it worse! He screamed in his mind so loud that it almost hurt. You petching idiot... you blew it. She probably thinks you're the biggest creep in the world, now...
He sighed and searched his mind for something else to say before finally settling on the question that they both have been waiting for...
"Look, I'm sorry that I'm so nervous. It's just... I've never experienced these kind of things before. And... well... again, you're very beautiful... So... would you like me to be your bondmate...?" He waited anxiously for her answer. He could only hope that he hadn't blown all his chances by babbling like an idiot before.... |

Amelie
Amelie smiled a bit when she saw Alexander stare then avert his eyes and blush. If he didn't stop blushing he could be permanently red... Which would be cute she guessed.
"It's okay. I guess I would do the same thing." Oh, God did I just think that? I hope he's not creeper out... Well he wouldn't be since I practically undressed in front of him and changed back naked... but he could just be bottling it and he would go away later...
"Well... I mean... Unless it's all right... Be cause you are very beautiful, and... um..."
Amelie smiles more and looked away. No-one had said she was beautiful before, just some people said she was pretty. Only her mother had said she was beautiful a few times when she was down. It was then she realized no-one took notice of her or spoke to her. It was like she never existed to anyone unless she went to speak to them. Her smile faltered a bit but the compliment kept it from disappearing.
"Look, I'm sorry that I'm so nervous. It's just... I've never experienced these kind of things before. And... well... again, you're very beautiful... So... would you like me to be your bondmate...?"
Amelie was brought out of her thoughts by that question. Would she like to be his bondmate? She blinked a few times and thought of something to say. Of course she couldn't say no, but then the feels intensified a little then she made the connection between them and the question. He could be my bondmate... She thought.
After a long pause all she could do was nod. She was too speechless to say anything. |
