A city floating in the center of a lake, Ravok is a place of dark beauty, romance and culture. Behind it all though is the presence of Rhysol, God of Evil and Betrayal. The city is controlled by The Black Sun, a religious organization devoted to Rhysol. [Lore]

"One hundred mizas... One hundred petching mizas!"

Raven growled angrily as she made her way towards the house of the mage that had caught her intruding in his house. She had spent the majority of her coin, a whopping one hundred mizas, on the clock that she'd agreed would be her payment for him not killing her or worse. Although the price payed was infinitely better than the alternative she couldn't quell the anger that ran through her at the loss of such a great sum of money, it wasn't as if she was swimming in wealth since leaving Syliras, she had to pay for lodging, food, travel expenses.

Letting out a large sigh as she arrived at the familiar house that made her uncomfortable to even look at, Raven supposed her anger wasn't actually so much about the coin as it was about the fact that he'd blackmailed her into agreeing, faced with his magic(and dog), she had been completely helpless and in no position to deny his offer. After all these years she was still exactly what she had been trying so hard not to be, a weakling, the defenceless child that her parents had seen her as and it bothered her to no end. Perhaps even more unsettling than her helplessness, was the face that the cruel mage, Clyde, had taken a vial of her blood for assurance and having hardly any knowledge on magic at all, she was terrified of the possibilities.

Raven took a quick glance at the surrounding area to make sure it was empty before pulling out her lockpicking tools and getting to work, slowly wriggling them in each direction before, after an uninterrupted two chimes, she was greeted with a satisfying click as the lock popped open. She returned to her full height, taking a nervous breath as she opened the door to the large dark entrance hall where she'd been caught, cautiously stepping in and looking around to make sure she was alone. She had managed to convince two young men to bring the newly purchased and expensive clock to the house for her and they weren't too far behind having left the shop shortly after she had.

Raven had barely began to lean against the doorway of the large house when the noise of the two 'delivery men' reached her ears and she looked up to see them drawing nearer, finally stopping just short of the house to look up at it nervously, their expressions matching her inner feelings where the house was concerned. She instinctively glanced behind herself, peering into the dimly lit room, to make sure that there wasn't actually someone approaching.

"Hey isn't this that mage's house?"
"Yeah it is. Miss you sure this is the right address?"

The uncertainty in their voices made it clear that Clyde was indeed someone of note in the floating city of Ravok, something that made her decision to take his offer seem far more wise than it already had, though not any less frustrating. Her amber gaze fell upon the two men as a confident smirk played at lips, arms crossing over her chest as she spoke, "Of course, I'm standing in the open doorway aren't I?". Stepping backwards into the house and out of their way, Raven gestured for them to bring the clock in, which they did, though they didn't dare go more than a few steps past the entrance before placing the clock firmly on the ground and hurrying out again.

"Thanks."
"You're welcome."

The men had barely spoken the words and had already turned to leave when Raven spoke up once more, "Hold on. May I borrow that dagger of yours for a moment?" she asked one of the men who casually plucked it from its sheath and handed it to her curiously. The moment she had it in her grip, she turned to the large wooden clock and began to carve a message into its side. It was no work of art, being just a few simple words, but Raven would be damned if she didn't get the last 'say' in the situation, no matter how futile it may have been.

'From your favourite thief.
- R'

When she was done, the young thief made her way to the door, closing it behind herself and handing the blade back to the patiently waiting man who quickly took off with Raven doing the same in the opposite direction. A large sigh escaped her lips as she felt the weight of her debt being lifted, relief washing over her in a wave of calmness. One thing was for sure, she would never mess with a mage again, not if she could help it anyway.
