World Development Announcements

(This is a thread from Mizahar's fantasy role playing forums. Why don't you register today? This message is not shown when you are logged in. Come roleplay with us, it's fun!)

This is the first step to starting a lore article. Please hold all conversations about lores here in this forum. No development takes place here ie Article posting. This forum is simply for threads that want to hash out what a lore should or shouldn't include as well as its merits and flaws. One can also gauge interest in new lore here as well. Polls are encouraged.

World Development Announcements

Welcome

Welcome to the reorganized World Development Forum! With the addition of Scribes to the staff of Mizahar, this part of the game has received a much-needed overhaul and will be getting more focused attention. Here are the highlights of current changes:

  • Scribes are now the point people for overseeing article submissions and facilitating development.
  • Proposals to develop lore articles will now be submitted to the Article Workshop and reviewed by Scribes, with input from Storytellers and Founders as necessary.
  • The Article Workshop also provides a dedicated place for notes and article drafting prior to Peer Review. No changes have been made to the Peer Review or Founder Review stages.
  • Another new forum, Lore Discussion, is dedicated to brainstorming, commentary, and other discussion of ideas. This is not a formal review or submission forum.
  • There is now an abandoned article policy. See details in the updated Guidelines for Lore Creation.
  • A list of articles in progress is being compiled and will be actively maintained.

If you already have HD permission to work on a lore article, you must still create a workshop thread. Include a link to the HD ticket in the 'Additional Info' field. This will allow us to consolidate all of the current works in progress and keep track of what's been claimed. If you do not do this, the Scribes do not know it has been approved for development, and we may accept another proposal that comes along for the same article.

Happy developing!

Wishlist

The Article Wishlist is now up! If there are any lores you would really like to see someone develop, please post there about it. Check the first post for guidelines on using the wishlist thread, and when posting a wish, also make sure to include why you think the article should be prioritized.

If you commit to doing an article, please see it through. So many potential developers are dropping the ball and just letting their articles go once they see how much work goes into writing one.

If you can't put the work in, don't commit. If you've started an article, update it and post some of your work, just don't tell us you are working on it.

I really thought having Scribes would solve this issue. But really, we haven't moved forward at all. The Founder Review Articles are the ones we've had before the changeover and there's been nothing pushed through.
