42nd of Summer, 515 A.V
It was early in the morning and the sun had just woken up from a long nights rest, peering into the horizon. The sky was beautifully mixed with pink, yellow, orange and blue colors. Giving it the perfect look of a sunset. No clouds were in sight, which made the day even better. It was warm for as early as it was. Birds chirped and sang as they fled from their homes, seeking food and materials for their nests. The animals, in the forest, had just begun to start their day hunting, collecting food, gathering materials or just wanted to enjoy what the morning at to offer. Seems very busy today. Nikia thought as she was making her way to Pavi Lake. The perfect spot for her and Dan to have a nice picnic.
Nikia was ready for what the day had to offer her. Her white hair kept swaying from left to right with each step she took, closing the distance between her and her destination. As she advanced her strides, the young kelvic felt small twigs, dead leaves and tiny pebbles crush beneath the soles of her boots. Sinking them into the earth as she shifted weight from one foot to the other. She often enjoyed walking because it helped her keep her thoughts together and herself collected. As she walked with confidence, she took a whiff of her surroundings. The air smelled of pine trees, lake water and food she carried in her basket. It seemed like the perfect mixture to start the day with. "Almost there." The young wolf stated, both excitedly and out of breath. Looking forward to the surprise picnic she had planned for Dan.
Moments later, Nikia had arrived at her destination. She stood on top of a small hill, in front of a long and large body of water that reflected the sun hanging on the sky. With a few minutes of walking, the sky turned as blue as Nikia's eyes. With the weather feeling a little warmer than before. The trees stood tall and wide around the lake like a protective barrier. Nikia could see small animals creeping up to the water to replenish their strength. All she could do was smile. Everything seemed peaceful. After taking in a few minutes of the scenery, the kelvic set out for a search of a comfortable spot to unload. Nikia took a small dirt path heading down the humble hill off to the left from which she came. A couple meters out, she found the perfect spot she'd been looking for. It was full of grass with beams of light shining through the tree limbs and quite shady. The spot didn't seem to cold, but just right.
When Nikia was able to get comfortable, she rinsed her white, mid thigh, dress from any wrinkles, that had accumulated during her walk, gently with her hands. She then kneeled down next to her basket and began unloading it. She set out bowls of fruit and vegetables in front of her along with some sliced meat, carried in a small container, and some crackers. It didn't look like much, but it was the best she could do. "I hope he'll be okay with this." Nikia said to herself as she was getting the plates from her basket. "Now all I have to do is wait."
