Summer 59, 515 AV
Ah, the Fighter's Pit. That one place Kayuqtuq had walked by a million times and never thought she would go to.
Kayuqtuq knew she had to learn a weapon. She wanted to travel, she wanted to go everywhere. Therefore, she needed a weapon.
The question was, which one? A tiny sling, a huge longbow? Definitely not a broadsword or axe, they were too heavy. Her eyes were blood-red in indecision.
How about a dagger? Looking at the Fighter's Pit's weapons, it seemed to fit her. She shrugged, and picked one up, surprised by the sudden weight in her hands. It was quite heavy. Her eyes flickered a satisfied orange. "This'll do." She mumbled to herself in Vani.
Toting the dagger, she found a nice isolated group of dummies. Inhaling, she stabbed at one. She chuckled to herself as she missed entirely.
