Day II

43rd Day of Fall ~ 510AV
Day 2 Post-Rebirth

A gentle warm kiss clung to the forehead of Jin. The sound of a smooch only made it more so heavenly. The scent of the kisser was like that of a rose. But it was pungent. And the once peacefully sleeping Jin felt this alarmingly to his sense of smell. Warming up into the world and taking his ingress to the living, with a hand tightly plugged over the nose. The high-pitched voice of a little girl’s welcoming him from his slumber made his right ear jolt. When he saw a big fat pucker right in-between his eyes, near to touching his skin, he leapt from the bed.

“What are you doing!” he yelled at the girl trying to kiss him. She appeared well overdressed. Pretty much donned her mother’s dress, happened to be ten times her size, with scribbled lipstick marked all over her face. Each design she imagined was made so as to stimulate the chances of earning her kiss with his approval. It worked as splendid as toilet can work with a rock. The unbalanced and jittery infuriation in Jin’s expression, with finger shaking as it pointed, showed he was in the wrong in some shape or form even though he had done nothing but wake up. His mind had been slapped with pictures, and drew to an annoyed feeling ranging threefold in seconds passing.

The covers he had worn were still on the bed, though his actual body was standing with just a pair of boxers, pointing at her while standing from a small desk. Feet so well in balance that it could make a cat look at him with mild jealousy. What made matters worse was when the aunt of the child passed on by with laundry in her arms. Quickly she had to drop and run in Jin’s room. She didn’t care even if her aunt allowed him on in as another child of hers, if this was Jin’s direction of pleasure, then surely he had been raised a misleading lifestyle. Indeed there had to be some way to fix this…

Looking at her niece with disapproval forced her to run back to her room, probably in tears. The sound of her screams was sharp as she went, and to Jayle, her aunt, it was probably because Jin had no cookies as promised. In reality, it was because Jin didn’t want to be near the thing. Right when she took the last step in Jin’s room, Jayle shut it quietly, and started to look at Jin with desire all of a sudden. This wasn’t making sense, and to think his dream was about running from this castle-city. The fact he never did showed he felt right being here for some crazy and eerie reason. Or maybe because he was homeless and didn’t even know what this place was, or who he was for that matter. They named him Korn, but knew that was not his name. It didn’t seem to sound or fit him right. Whenever he looked in the bathroom mirror, he couldn’t picture a man like him could be born with the name Korn…

The way how Jayle said his name, “Korn~” half of him was all ears, the other half felt terrified to be here right now. Each step her body took made no noise, for she took them carefully with her hips able to sway in the sensual fashion. Her dress danced by her groove, and her hands were starting to gesture along in harmony. Each step front step she took, Jin stepped back. Eventually, Jin had no place to go once his back smacked the wall. The desk he had been standing on was long, but also short in this case. Way too short, for her head leveled his kneecaps. She wanted him to get down, but he didn’t want to. First it was all with love and joy. Then came the rage, one of those silent rages, but a rage easy to read from her grimace.

With a swing, she punched him in the center. For a while, he stood against a wall, and now he had a great fall. Body’s front slamming on the carpet, with a loud thud to be the sounding result of her victory. “I’ve been alone for a long time, babe. You must understand…” Her foot slammed onto Jin’s spine.

Jayle felt happy to know Korn complied with her wishes. With that, she… had to stand him up, make him seem alright, and dust his shoulders. The reason why she changed her goal all of a sudden was because her mother opened the door. The older woman asked, “Why are you in Korn’s room, Jayle?” In her best ability to be modest and kind to her mother, she answered, “Because mommy, Korn had a problem with his drawer. Asked me to check it when I walked by.” Ma looked at Jayle and could not tell if she lied or told the truth. Jayle always was a child she favored for her loyalty and respect in others. Would she stoop to this point? Not likely.

“Well, it’s time for us to get to workin’,” said Ma. “I want you and Korn to go to the grocery store, and buy us the usual, and me a pack of that soap for my feet. You know the one that’s—” Jayle couldn’t have it. She had to interrupt and remove the thought of her mother’s fungus and bunions. “Ok, ok, Ma. Korn, be ready in an hour.” With that, both women left the room. In relief, Jin could only look up when the door closed, and back closed so that he could start sit out the pain in his groin. “These people are not normal people…” were the last words to say before taking the hour to rest.

Outside, both Jin and Jayle went out to seek groceries. The day had looked normal, with the people of Syliras all gathering and spattering like busy ants. The season greeting the people with a warm lick, as no one wore any layers. Although it had been fall, they were all walking in one of the warming days of it. Jin never knew of this place, and had only been here for a day, found by Ma from the shoreline, and already he felt the comfortable being in this place. In fact, this had been the first time he ever went outside. The first time he had stayed the night in Ma’s home. The first time in his stay, and already he had a woman nearly available to flirt with—who in fact was walking at his side, nearly shoulder to shoulder with him; to the point that passersby would not think twice that they weren’t a couple.

Day II

Postby Jin on November 15th, 2010, 8:22 am

“Where is this shop?” she complained. “I remember Ma asking me to go to this place only once last year. And already I forgot. Korn. Can you ask the good people around for it? It should be the nearest one from or location.” She knew. She lived here all her life, and went to the same store all her life. In fact, she was the main person to ask to get something out of the store by everyone within the household. She had to test Jin. To see if he could cooperate with her, try to show that he could listen and follow along without complains—like a real man should.

In Jin’s mind, he believed her, and went on asking people after people. The people here he spoke to for directions were all nice for a castled city with its people bunched together. Though it had enough expansion for one not to complain, and if they had to, they were rich and selfish people. And that would be a very asinine and inaccurate description about the people of Syliras. One old man, near to his seventies seemingly, with a cane in one hand and a moment of shaking with the other hand as it rose, he pointed behind them. And there it was. Jin softly slapped his face, and slid the fingers till they touched chin. Thinking how he missed it.

After grabbing all necessities Jayle knew they would ask later on, and Ma’s foot soap, right after everything had been paid, Jayle asked Jin, “Korn. Please, please, please. Can you carry this stuff?” Jin looked at the mountain of items. Looked back to Jayle, and saw her sweet and semi-ashamed smile. Then he looked at the bags, and sighed agreeing. She cheered. Leaving on out the store, with bags reaching twice his height, Jin struggled as walked. Although it can be looked as a sad scene, Jayle thought of it all as dedication, obedience, and loyalty. Three more good signs of a great husband.

After only two minutes, Jin took a rest by placing the bags on the sophisticatedly smoothed ground, and fell to his hind. Breathing. This meant to Jayle only one thing, and wasn’t something she wanted to see: laziness. Jin’s first flaw. But before she could lecture and lash, Jin saw five carpenters and asked of their assistance. The five were averagely strong, with the muscles showing but not all the way, and gear nearly off as a sign of a previous job well done. They all figured how he carried all those bags by himself. And he explained of the situation. Their answer wasn’t necessarily answered all the way, but knew that since the place wasn’t far, they would be willing to help out for the purpose of both being kind and gain more muscles for longevity’s sake.

Three of the five helped, while the rest two said that they had to meet their children at home before the next job they had to do. Three was enough. According to Jayle, although Jin had done a lazy job, he sure did gather enough persuasion skill to persuade these three at least. This meant that he had some skill into talking people to things. She pictured a lovely night for her and him, with him making up all the finest ideas for the night to become the most wonderful night a couple could ever sustain. Her pleasured sigh almost had been heard.

When they made it to Ma’s home, Jin thanked the three, “I thank you for the muscles. Indeed you three are great people.” They thanked him for the compliment, and told him to take care. And so had he. Then one turned around, and asked Jin a question, “would you like to test your might?” Somehow, Jin knew what that meant, and raised his hand. The man obviously wanted to see how strong Jin really was. Even for a short distance, carrying all those bags had to be inhuman. The man slammed in and grabbed. And the two started to struggle. After several seconds of pressing opposite ways, Jin moved the carpenter’s arm to the point that he gave up. “Really didn’t need to break my arm out of some foolish pride,” he elucidated to Jin. “Just had to see what my growth was in the strength rating. Take care, friend.” Jayle said to Jin, “Korn. You are wonderful.” It couldn’t be resisted. She had to go for another kiss. To Jin’s understanding, the people of Syliras—in a general sense—happened to many times more wonderful than him. Didn’t matter if he could persuade or not, he still had been aided by someone. And not just some one, but some three. Three people who just finished working for the day.

When Jayle tried closing in on him, the door opened. And she quickly stepped on over, to fulfill her walk, and make it seem like she just went to the bags on the ground. Picked up the lightest bag, and went on inside. With the last look back to Jin on her last step, winking. The one who opened the door happened to be 17 year-old Tina, the third eldest daughter, but the fifth eldest child to Ma and Pa. He never really knew much of Tina, only that she had been lowly and emotional, with the worse attitude he had seen in a person of Syliras. It was as if she came from another world, and still lived inside of that world, only with her physical body here to present itself and become annoyed by everything it had no familiarity with.

She looked at Jin, and he looked with a smile at her. Then she sighed with her eyes twirling, carrying less if he was trying to persuade her like those “rocks”, and walked to the stairs, and helped Jin carry the groceries. It took an hour to have it all packed and ready to make the family dinner, but it was well worth it, for Jin could smell Ma’s cooking as he sat in the family’s living room. He wasn’t related to them in any way, and was pretty much a bum, but Ma took in all her children like she took him in. Not one of them was her biological child.

Day II

Postby Jin on November 15th, 2010, 8:22 am

Not even the grandchildren. The whole family had been adopted out of tendering loving care. All they had to do was feed everyone they call mother and father, brother and sister, everything would be all right. There happened to be seven children; Quin, Morris, Jin, Trish, Jayle, Tina, and Line. And there were nine grandbabies. Tintin happened to be Tina’s two year old son. Even though she was only seventeen, her dark and departed upbringing got her into some trouble and misdirection, leading her to a hastened motherhood. Trish’s children were two year old Jorlin, four year old Terrein, and seven year old Yaneris. Morris, who job is to work, and each work he do seem to change every day, with his wife Lorene, shared Morris the second, Morris the third, Morris the fourth, and Morris the fifth. His reason naming them all Morris says it all about him. The eldest, Quin, along with Korn and Jayle, had no children as of yet.

When the food was ready, everyone took their labeled seats. For Jin, he was given a spot on the couch. Since there were no tables and chairs for everyone, the majority of the family ate at chosen places in either the living room or the kitchen. Because Jin was new to the family, he had either the floor or a piece of their couch left to choose. It wasn’t until today did he find this spot now irritating to sit at… Just two inches east was the ever-flirtatious Jayle. She even looked at him as if she felt honored that he stayed by her side still. This she didn’t credit him. She couldn’t. This she had to give the credit to fate.

After a lot of fine eating, but not so much of a comfortable time with all the flirting coming from Jayle, Jin stood up. He did a good job being resilient to the flirting. Cleaning his plate of, putting the dishes where they supposed to, Jin told everyone thanks, and went on to his bedroom. Unlike downstairs, upstairs was humongous. There were seven bedrooms, each able to comfortably fit the whole family. Pa was once a Physics expert and an Architect. He built this place a long time ago, and knew the capacity it should hold, and also knew his Ma, and how she loved children.

Today had been quite the day. Jin even had a moment to work his muscles, both carrying and by in a friendly form of brief combat—muscle man! He learned of Jayle and her real self, and understood that many of the people were great and kind, but not all, like Trina, had been this way. It gave him insight that there can be some unkind characters out there. Not just in Syliras, but in places elsewhere. One day, he will leave their gates, and venture off to explore everything, and attain more knowledge of a world he knew little to nothing about.
