Built into the cliffs overlooking the Suvan Sea, Riverfall resides on the edge of grasslands of Cyphrus where the Bluevein River plunges off the plain and cascades down to the inland sea below. Home of the Akalak, Riverfall is a self-supporting city populated by devoted warriors. [Riverfall Codex]

Winter of 27'th out of 92nd

The cool air brisked away as Adyel walked throughout the city of Riverfall. The city that could possibly mesmerize any outsider. With its intriguing design. Built on the edge of a cliff, adjacent to the Suvan Sea. The Sea itself, was one thing out of particular that could spark an interest in ones eyes. But, Riverfall, now that was a different story. Adyel could never leave Riverfall, but he had wanted the need to. Even though, he has a great family at the moment. A loving lady who decided to take him home and continue raising him as a good young boy, to turn out like a well behaved young man.

The Konti woman, Kavala. Was her name. She was beautiful by the looks of it. She was kind and generous. She was willing to help anyone who was in need. And Adyel appreciated what she had had done for him. She even decided to take him as her own. Adyel was even more so flabbergasted that Kavala had been so cordial and gregarious around him. He hadn't thought of being in the city alone. He had told Kavala that he was going out for a few bells. They had just recently ate lunch so Adyel wasn't out for that reason. He wanted to get something special for Kavala. Or at least hope to.

He didn't feel safe when he was alone. Though, he took the courage and continued to shuffle throughout the city of Riverfall. The Kelvic didn't want to be caught in the middle of some big dramatic dispute between the other commoners who lived within these walls. He passed a few people whom he had not recognized. A few looked like Akalaks, and some supposedly looked human. From what Adyel can assume. He didn't know much people here in Riverfall. The people that he has a knowledge of knowing would be Kavala, her children, most of the crew, and Namorin whom he had met recently.

Adyel wasn't too keen on the layout of the city, while he was alone, he had been lost for a while some days. Perhaps even for a few chimes. Adyel had just left one of the parks that was adjacent to the Cavern Creations. He wasn't sure if it had an exact name, but he was definitely sure that being alone for almost a bell felt good. He liked walking through the parks, it gave him time to think, and it was also a plus for him because he didn't need to worry about the other territorial creatures that roamed the wild lands of Riverfall.

Even though, it might seem ironic. Since he was a pretty territorial lion. Though, he hadn't found his territory to call him. He didn't know where he would call home. But, he knows one thing currently, his home is here. In Riverfall, with Kavala and the rest of The Sanctuary. That was where his home was. The Sanctuary with Kavala. Whom had taken him in as another one of her own children. She had a lot of characteristics like his mother's. Liandrin was his mothers name. She was kind, thoughtful. And she knew how to negotiate with others and interpret what they need. That part, felt a little strange to him. Though, would it be just as strange as him having the ability to walk through walls? Or was that a thing that could only happen in dreams?

He didn't know if he should tell Kavala about the mark from Yahal and about the ability that he could walk through walls. Was it normal, to just phase through a wall and come out the same way? Or... Never mind. Adyel thought. He pushed the thought aside as it didn't bother him to much. But, it was strange that Yahal would want Adyel as one of his children. Would Kavala know eventually or? "Hey watch it, kid."Lost in thought. Adyel didn't realize that he walked into another person."Sorry, my bad..."Adyel claimed. He didn't mean to bump into the person, there were tons of other people that he could bump into. But, it wasn't the first time that he had bumped into someone.

After the short interruption, Adyel took a turn down an alleyway. It was dark, in a way. And gloomy. The young kelvic felt worried suddenly. He took his hood on his coat and pulled it over his head as he slowly walked through the shadowy alleyway. The sides of the buildings grew dark, and clammy as Adyel had gotten more terrified by the tick. He felt a tug at his leg. And nearly screamed. His hood fell back to his shoulders. He didn't know what it was that touched him, but it felt like a human's hand. Or a hand in general, but he didn't know who's.

The boy jumped out of the person's grasp and staggered back to the other side of the wall gripped it tightly. Afraid of whom it was or what it was. Who or what would it be? Why would it do something like grab his foot? Was Adyels foot invading someones personal space that the young Kelvic hadn't noticed? Or was it just his imagination?

Wikus wasn’t a family man. He tried to be, and it was his biggest dream to hold a healthy child in his hands for a long time until fate made sure that would never happen. Nothing was more horrible than one’s biggest wish being denied without being able to do a thing about it, and perhaps he would never let go of the anger that had forever invaded him. He was both scared and scarred from the past he carried on his back, often feeling like an old and withering man whom would one day fall dead with nobody being there to remember him. In a way, he appreciated that. The thought of others being able to find endearment and fondness, to find love and sympathy for one another was perhaps the biggest fuel for the rage that often took him out of bed and moved his feet onward. In a way, he had long assumed that destiny would forever be against him, yet he was still alive and nobody could deny that. When others died young, he had managed to put so many winters behind his back his counting abilities were insufficient to even state his own age. Nevertheless, he was the one that always lived when others died. That feeling was the best he had to offer himself.

This winter, however, he felt the madness of loneliness replaced by something far graver. Ink had become his nightmare, haunting him since the first snowflakes fell from the skies. Whenever he saw it, he felt a need to touch it, to absorb it and keep it. It was subtle at first, but it quickly escalated to become an addiction he simply couldn’t halt. It ate him from inside, that drive and that obsession to touch and to know. How could a man resist such need? He was at the library this morning, trying to satisfy that need. He touched one book and absorbed it, the pain being unbearable with every drop of ink that entered his skin. Destiny wasn’t satisfied though, and after the first came the second. Each book offered new knowledge, stuck in the back of his head and ready to be narrated, yet the words were complex and out of his comprehension. Nobody would ever understand that frustration, he thought, the frustration of owning something you don’t comprehend. His skin and his tattoos shifted with every book, suffering under its effects and turning more and more monstrous with every drop.

Now, he had to hide in an alleyway as he banged his fists against the stone, trying to solve the knowledge stuck in his brain, trying to find answers of the infinite riddle formed inside his brain. This was the case until a boy entered the alley, an innocent being that didn’t quite realize just whose domain he was entering. Wikus awaited at first, sitting in the corner immobile as the ink of his flesh formed a rather impressive camouflage, turning his flesh into the darkness that reigned in the alley. It was only when the boy was far within that he moved, reaching out from behind to reach for the boy’s leg, unfortunately unable to maintain grip. Standing up now, he couldn’t waste this chance. “Boy… Tell me what the symbols mean...” His voice was soft, yet at the same time spoke with an escalating frustration and eagerness. Slowly stepping forward towards the boy, soon his appearance was revealed.

His tattoos were lively moving around his flesh, covering every spot either one moment or the other. A tiger appeared on the man’s bearded face, dragging something similar to a deer which left red stains on the man’s skin. Flowers flew as if blown by a wind, moving across his flesh with such a strength it may have been possible the man was also dragged with those invisible winds. It was all ink traveling across his skin, yet the imagery was quite vivid and thus realistic. They were totally out of control, just as much as the man itself. Trying to grab the boy by the shoulders, Wikus would remain immobile as he forced the ink on his flesh to become the letters written on the books he’s absorbed. Shirtless as he was, his entire flesh was now covered in words and letters that forced a careful squint to be read. “What do they mean!?” He yelled out, clearly obsessed with finding the answer books withheld from him.

The darkened alleyway was darker then dark. Shadows covered whatever crevice and crack warding off any light. "Yahal, please help me now." Was the only thought that Adyel could muster. His voice choked within him as we was near startled to death. A man, taller then the boy. Covered in black. He seemed to have had been muttering of something... Something about symbols.

His words choaked as he couldn't speak. The shadow of a man restrained the Kelvic boy. And grasped the two of his shoulders up against the stone wall from another building. What symbols? What was this man talking about? What did he want from Adyel? What sbols? It was strange and Adyel didn't have much room to be let free, be it, if the man would ever let him free of his grasp. The dark man's hold had gotten tighter by each tick that passed by. Adyel had now begun the process to struggle to get free. He was afraid now. Afraid that the man might injur his shoulders or even worse possibly dislocate them...

The Kelvic was afraid and he couldn't speak. No, not yet. His voice still choked as he had tried to let himself even speak of any words. The smell, was it mold? Or... Adyel couldn't quite interpret what the smell was. But, it smelled bad not as bad as sour milk. But, as bad one who would drink alcohol and the remaining scent lingers within the mout of the adult. But, this man didn't seem to drink. Not at least, from Adyles perspective. Unless, his scent was wrong. Adyel wrinkled his nose. Trying to back up even further, but had just forgotten that he was pressed up against the stone wall.

It was time to be strong, now Adyel thought. He was sure that the man would possibly let go of him if the Kelvic talked. Would he? He shuffled his shoulders a bit and attempted to wriggle himself free of the dark man's grasp. Something... Something darker then tge an was moving along his skin. It was jet black. It reminded Adyel of something. Ink? Was it? Or was it his imagination... How can a man have that much ink on him? Was it even possible to have that much ink in any way shape or form?

Adyel stammered his words..."I... I-I do-...n't"He let out a yelp for help, but he couldn't as his voice cracked through terror from the man. Would this possibly taunt the boy for life? Even scar him? What was this man talking about...Symbols. What symbols. Adyel couldn't see a book or anything on the stone flooring. Was it important to the man to decipher some random symbols? Not even Dynas light could shine through the alleway. Did this man know some sort of magic?

Pleas... Mr... Let me go... I don't know what your talking about... Let me go... Please..."The boy was truly terrified of this man. Was the man going insane. Or was he now having a psychotic breakdown? Adyel struggled to get free once more turning and thrusting his body as hard as he could. Adyel hadn't thought that this was the man's domain. Why was he living out in the alleyways? What did he do to become this lonesome? Why wasn't he in with a building that produced heat?

The wind had bary even flown through the alleway it self. And Adyel was now even more afraid of this dark man. Why would he harm a boy? "Pleas... Stop... Mr... I don't.."Adyel still couldn't find the right words to put in play. And he didn't know why he was being restrained by this dark figure. What did Adyel have, that he didn't know? What symbols? Was the man traveling through a stage of insanity?

Adyel couldn't quite interpret the idea of symbols? What kind of symbols, symbols from the pre- valterrian? Or from some other culture? What, what kind of things was this dark figure nearly yelling at the boy about? Mold, or at least the peculiar scent of mold wrinkled through the Kelvics nostrils." Mr... Please... Let me go... I didn't do anything... What sym- what are you talking about? Symbols... "The boy was completely lost with the ability to comprehend and understand the man.

Why was the man alone and mumbling in the darkest parts of the alleyways? It was strange to Adyel and he hadn't figured off what to do. He now had felt the stone wall as it was part of him. He didn't know what was going on, but it seemed that his question that he had had through his dream had given him an answer. The dream where he had encountered Yahal. A test the God had put on Adyel. And did Yahal give Adyel the ability to walk through walls?

Adyel wasn't near exhaustion at all. And this building beside him, was one that hadn't had any occupants within it. Was that why this dark man was here? Because no one else would be? Was the Warren near this building? Adyel hoped so. And with that little tint of hope. Adyel figured that he could possibly shift himself through the wall. Was it possible? Or was it just a thing that can only happen in dreams? Or? The possibilities floated throughout the mind of the young Kelvic and he didn't know what to think.

Was this man covered in black, even a man? Was this imagination to? But, if it were his imagination... Wouldn't he just have the ability to manipulate his fears and joys? What? Was Adyel going insane? The Kelvic boy was uncertain once again, of the fact that this man was as clueless as he was. What symbols was he talking about? What letters? The man kept mumbling on and on as Adyel was still restrained against the coldness of the stonewall. Good thing that he has his coat and winter gear on otherwise, he'll probably get a serious sickness.

"Please... I don't understand... Mr. Let me go. "Adyel felt the cold rub against his skin. He felt bad for this man, but he can't help him if he won't release him from his grasp. Adyel felt the stone rub against his skin like it was touching him, but not physically. It was like... A sensor. Or something. Was the part when he tripped through the wall in his dream with Yahal, was it not a hallucination?

Soon enough, Wikus had approached close enough raise his arms and place them on the wall, looking down from his towering height as his arms served as two bars that enclosed the boy into a cage. Leaning closer and closer, his bearded features closed in on the boy’s head. “Tell me… You know…” Once again standing still he would focus the ink on his bare chest, forming a gigantic letter ‘A’, which then shifted into an ‘H’ and once again shifted into yet another one. The speed increased and increased until it became nothing but another mess of ink spiraling around his chest. At the same time, the man seemed defeated as he let a loud whine escape him. Confusion and fear shaped him into the lunatic he was now, and it was clear to him that he would have to pressure the boy. The boy was small, scared and confused, easily intimidated by someone as imposing as Wikus.

It was this vague reasoning what pushed Wikus to increase the pressure. His hands slowly moved towards the boy, attempting to take him by the shoulders and squish those very shoulders to make a direct statement that he was not joking – he wanted an answer and he was going to get it. “You will tell…. Or I will make you tell…” The cold made his body tremble, and often send shivers so strong it seemed they would crush his bones. His stomach growled every few ticks, suffering under the ink that had also made its home inside. His nose too bled the black substance, something he didn’t seem to realize as it was going directly to the beard. The alleyway itself was pretty shallow in depth, yet it was far enough for anyone in the street to walk past and not realize what was happening.

Tick after tick, the man was losing his sanity and submerging into the madness, more and more unstable with each growing moment. His motions, although scarce, presented increased brutality and randomness. Wikus himself wasn’t sure what he was going with this, as he had lost control of whatever plan he had in mind when he stumbled upon the boy. The more he tried to think, the more the words stuck at the back of his head. It was too much for him to handle, addictive to even address their presence. Unable to hold it anymore, he’d finally let them escape his lips. “…animals walk below magic compression architecture rambling soil in the more…” Senseless words from different books and different pages mixed in his mouth, unable to come out in order and instead becoming a mess. With a whine, he’d halt those words and instead bang his open palm against the wall, staring into the boy as if his own eyes would dig out the answer he wanted.

The alleway appeared as dark and gruesome as the almost shadowy figure completely stood over the boy. The boy was more afraid then a jack rabbit that would sprint away from a predatorial animal like a fox or coyote. The man that neared the boy almost restrained the Kelvic with his arms. Formed a cage in a sense. No way, to run. No way to, hide... The cold stone wall brushed against Adyel as the man that concealed himself within the shadows pressured the boy hard onto the dampened stone. The man hadn't had a shirt on, that's what Adyel could see.

The man kept pestering the Kelvic with now seemingly pure insanity. Adyel hadn't known of any symbols. The boy was barely mature for his Kelvic culture. Just a little over a year. The man grew c more aggressive as Adyel wasn't giving the shadowed figure what he wanted. Adyel wanted to escape the man's hold. But, it was to late to even think about it. And the boy knew that the man won't give in until Adyel would give an answer. But, what answer did he have that would be sufficient enough to leave?

Could Adyel play a possible trick on the man? Would it work. Thoughts kept rushing through the boys mind and his head head had started to pound. Now, the man leaned in closer. And Adyel could smell the scent of the man's mouth. And I was almost rancid like a day old milk when it has been left out from an ice box or something. Adyel nearly gagged at the scent. And was still truly afraid. The Kelvic has v had no clue why the man had this much insanity. It was challenging to decipher. And Adyel couldn't quite interpret the symbolic letters that now forming onto the man's chest.

Tick after tick, the man had now layed his hand upon Adyels shoulders and he was restrained. And the man kept pushing down on them as if his hands were used as bone crushers day and night. Adyel yelped out and nearly choked. The pressure of theans hands filled with such force and strength that Adyel couldn't even think right. He isn't much of a fighter, because his mother never raised him like that. No, no fighting. She would always have had gottenb upset if she had found out that he was fighting with other boys or adults.

The Kelvic wouldn't fight with other boys, and he would rather earn the appreciation from his mother then the disapproval countenance. But, his mom was gone, and Adyel knew it to. He knew that she won't be able to come back. And Adyel was living fine, especially when he had met Kavala. Kavala had taken him in and raised him as if he was her own. And Adyel was truly grateful. The pain, surged from Adyels shoulder and pounded through his head. Adyel was terrified of this man.

The cold stone wall scraped as Adyels coat brushed against the stone. He could feel the stonewall against him. And it was damp, moist, and even almost moldy like. Though, Adyel had no other way of getting free. The Kelvics body slowly submerged into the stonewall. "I don't know... " Before he could say any more. The Kelvic slipped in to another building. Flabbergasted as he hadn't known where he was." Where..." The boy was now tired. And he had felt the energy ware out of him.

As if shifting through the wall had suddenly drained his energy. Adyel couldn't remember if there was a door to this building from that alleway. He didn't see any, bit he was sure that there was one. Adyel scurried to a corner of the empty building to refresh his energy. And he was near to begin a stage of hyperventilation. Was he going insane. What about the dream encounter he had with Yahal? What was the significance of that?

The boy huddled in the corner waiting for the man to be gone, and hoped that he hadn't found an entrance to the building. And Adyel was now truly terrified that this was happening to him. Was this a curse? Or was it a gift? Or was it just his imagination. And this was all a dream? Did Yahal give him this ability? The man's voice rang through the building like a crow cawing for food that had just been found. This day was a certain one to not forget.

Like a phantom, the kid escaped Wikus’ hold. His eyes widened as he witnessed the boy merging with the wall, swallowed by the grey stone and escaping him in a matter that drove Wikus at the edge of pure insanity. He tried to pull the boy back out, almost as if fearing for the boy’s life yet his intention was too late – the moment the thought came across his mind, his grasp was stopped by the stone wall. How could a boy slide through a wall and he couldn’t? Wikus fists came forward, banging against the wall as he tried to break whatever magic was behind this. Being an ignorant, he couldn’t quite cope with a kid outsmarting him, not when he needed that kid to help him understand. His tantrum was interrupted, as soon his stomach gave in to the pain. Bending forward, Wikus felt nauseous all of a sudden, not a tick later the black vomit being released onto the wall. Resting his head against the wall as he panted, his anger fueling as this was all because of the symbols he couldn’t interpret.

Ticks later, he was already looking for a way to surpass the wall, not by passing through it but by finding a proper exit. There was no door, not at all, but there was a small window easily reached by his height. There was no glass on it, and its size was quite limited, yet he was certain he could fit through it. Moving to his left, Wikus got ready to perform a hop that would surely cause even more irritation onto his already poisoned stomach. Hopping as his hands reached up for the ledge, he would take a good hold on it as he began pressing himself up. Despite his lack of muscle mass, Wikus was way stronger than the average male, another one of the blessings of his condition. Despite the muscles not quite straining due to the weight, they did complained as he felt way weaker than usual, surely due to the ink poisoning he was undergoing. Nevertheless, he did manage to get his head inside and part of his upper chest inside the window’s frame.

Glancing inside like an eagle looking for its prey, the first word he wanted to say was lost as instead more of the black vomit escaped him without him being ready, part of it falling on the ground inside of the abandoned building and part of it simply dripping down his mouth onto his beard. His eyes easily found the boy, sitting in the dark and moist environment of the house. A strange kind of rumble escaped Wikus’ throat, like an animal’s growl that was about to devour its prey. “Where are you going….” He’d state, not question. He knew the boy tried to escape, and he had no questions about it. His bare chest would begin tainting the stone around the window in ink, as if the window itself was crying pure agony now that the man continued attempting to fit inside. “Come here, boy…”

Wikus wouldn’t surrender, and despite the small dimensions of the window he would still attempt to wiggle his way inside. His eyes were fixed on the boy, as was his face, while the rest of his body attempted to crawl inside. In a way, the abandoned building was a blessing for him, as now the boy was trapped inside with him unless it attempted to escape again. The window of time was getting shorter and shorter as the man was about to fall forward inside the room. Whatever was to happen next was only known by the ink-dripping man.

Thean had finally discovered himself a way to reach in the abandoned building. Adyel scurried closer to the corner, and fell through the depths of the darkened room. The boy was truly terrified as of now. He was close to hyperventilation at this point and he was merely about to freak out. But,he hadn't lost his sanity just yet, no. Though, as the man reached in through the building, half of his body was perched up the window. And the man hurled black ink. Over the wall.

The man now had been dropping ink of his beard. And the remains that were left onto the ground almost materialized, but still contained motion within the substance. Adyel, and his cowardness wedged between the wall and a storage container. Possibly empty. Half of his body was hidden behind the container and the other half, hidden by the shadows or at least the boy thought he was hidden.

The man was agonaized by Adyels fear. And he was angered more so as the boy wanted to run away once more. Though, the thoughts of fear had stricken the boy. And Adyel was lost in thought, scrambling as he wanted to run, or choosing to confront the man. But, there was no side platter of courage on the plate. And it wouldn't be served in time, for that, the man who would be dripping ink could get to him. The boy managed to conjure up his thoughts and had the opportunity to speak.

"No, no. Leave me alone Mr
Please...."
The boys words trailed as he spoke. With fear hitting the boy hard. Was speaking a mistake. Did he just give way his spot of hiding? The boy scurried and scrambled behind the container almost whimpering. If he turned into a lion? Would that scare the man away? The Kelvic thought.

Adyel didn't want to take off his clothes. And certainly not in front of this man who dripped ink from his body and had the ability to conjure it as well. Adyel was afraid, and fear couldn't escape out of his mind. He was scrambling for choices. Opportunities to have an attempt to run. One thing that was on the boys mind. Run. The word, run. Adyel knew that running would always be a possibility. But, what good come from it? Would the man just run after him again?

The man who dripped ink, attempted to order the boy to come to him once again. Adyel shook his head crazily."No, I can't Mr. Please."The boy exclaimed as he tried to squeeze his body behind two other containers that almost seemed to be glued in place. The building was certainly abandoned, but it isn't alone. The boy didn't know what to do, or not to do. The only thing he could possibly muster was hiding, and or, maybe running. He managed to squeeze through the two containers and slid his back down them. And ended up in a fetal position.

Afraid.

He quietly whimpered behind the containers. And hoped for the man to not find him. There was a thump. And liquid sounded with splashing sounds as the man had finally entered through the window into the shadowy room. Adyel stopped breathing, his heart pounded. And the splashes echoed throughout the building. And relinquished about a small area within the room. It was quite, almost to quiet after the thump and splash. The Kelvic had no clue of what to do. What could he do, besides coward behind the containers?

Out in Town, A Stumble and a Start (Wikus)

At last, Wikus managed to squeeze in through the small window, making sure to land on his extended arms while also trying not to have them locked-on to avoid damage on his joints. Landing in a handstand position, his lack of balance quickly made his feet land sideways, which was what his acrobatic abilities allowed him. Standing up, he finally smiled as he found himself in the closed yet spacious room, not certain the boy couldn’t escape without him noticing. Still, he feared the capacity of the boy to glitch through walls, something never seen before by his eyes and immediately attributed to magic. If the boy was a mage, Wikus had even more reasons to pursue him aside from the need of needing a translator for the symbols and knowledge he couldn’t understand. Mages were a sickness of the land, and they all deserved to hang from the highest pole. Maybe Wikus could be the hangman.

The room was big, yet it was also very congested with old and forgotten furniture with thick layers of dust. The air was thick with it, now that the two individuals had stirred up the peace within. The light was dim, and many shadows lurked around the now furious man. The boy had spoken before, yet now he was quiet. For a moment, he feared the boy had escaped, yet nevertheless his instinct refused to believe it – his nose smelled the fear, at least metaphorically. The boy must still be here, trapped in the cage that was this dark room. Now Wikus had infinite privacy to pry whatever information he wanted, to do as he pleases with the disobeying and disrespecting boy. At first, Wikus contemplated the possibility of unrolling his whip from his waist, yet the congested room wouldn’t allow him to crack it. He wanted to scare the boy, scare him so much that he urinated his pants and finally stopped trying to evade him. In a low coo, the mouth full of ink let a whisper escape him. “You know I will find you…” The low voice added to the dark ambience, which now turned into a crypt rather than a place of refuge for the child.

Wikus looked around, mostly to confirm the direction he was to follow. The room was rectangular, and he had entered through one of the ends. A door stood on the other end, and between them loads of furniture both covered and uncovered by blankets, which could easily become a tunnel for the boy to use against Wikus. He wouldn’t allow him to do that, of course, as he proceeded with the original plan of intimidating the boy. Having once learned Nari in Syliras, most of the language was based around whistles. Whistling was also used in his days as a Drykas, mostly to drive the cattle along with his whip. Now, however, it would become his weapon. Starting to whistle a plain tone, casually and worriless, he wanted to transmit his serenity to the boy in the otherwise tense situation. The tone escalated into a tune, slow and melancholic, similar to a lullaby turned morbidly creepy. Whistling as his wet feet step forth, Wikus would take a hold of a random table that stood on his way and, with all the might he had, he’d flip it deeper within the room and towards the door.

The sound was thunderous in the small instance, something that added in to the tension surely felt inside. The whistling, however, did not stop, as if it a haunting song was played for an incoming funeral. Wikus stood still, watching and waiting in case something inside the room moved, yet he heard nothing. Another step forward, he’d grab a chair and toss it behind him, the old wood complaining as it hit the stone walls. Wikus increased the volume of his whistling, despite the ink within his mouth that made the task almost impossible. Every wet step he took left a back footprint in the stone below, leaving whoever comes next to witness his actions. Still whistling, he approached another piece of furniture and tossed it behind him.

The congested room was still and silent. If there were a cricket within the depths of the dusty darkened room, it would play a light creaking sound. And relinquish any silence that had once stirred throughout the dark room. Adyel wanted to speak aloud, and defend his accusations of the tar dripping man. He wanted to know what the man was talking about. Symbols? He had had no simple idea of these symbols. How would they help this man, how would helping the man even help Adyel?

How does this encounter even make vigilant sense? How? Who was this man? Did he have other people in his head, talking to him? Telling him to hurt Adyel? Adyel couldn't have that. If it was something of a disease with the similar symptoms. Or the fact that it might be schizophrenia. Or, is the man plain out nuts. Like a unwired machine, on a test day. Was the man injected with something? Was he tested?

Empathy grew, like a root for the old man. Adyel, didn't interpret what was wrong with the man. All he knew, was that he wanted to escape, workout being harmed. Maybe, just maybe. He could transform into a lion? How would that work out? A loud crash came forth, from the action of the man who had seemingly thrown a large object at the door. The object was a table, but Adyel had no sense of what it was. He slowly, just slowly peeked his head out from one of the corners of a cargo box to peer at the door. It was large alright, and now slightly damaged by the looks of it.

The once quite room, steadily grew to a loud roar with furniture being thrown about the once untouched room. Adyel flinched as he quickly jerked his head back. The man spoke something, a mix of anger and justification filled the tone in the man's words. He was quite stern, from the boys escape of his previous grasp. Adyel, wouldn't allow the man's magnanimous strength to hold him tight with pain again. No, there has to be another way. But, what?

He looked up to the ceiling, with his head behind the cargo box. And thoughtfully prayed to Yahal. Though, the boy hadn't had an idea of what to do. He was scared for certain, but he kept his mouth shut, to not alert the dark liquid dripping man. Kavala would know what to do. His mother would, Liandrin. She would know to. Adyel, pondered a thousand ticks to understand what was now going on. There were rugs on top of other furniture that appeared as tunnels. And once Adyel finds a decent spot against the wall that didn't carry any furniture or boxes. Then the boy would gladly take that chance.

Another furniture piece flew about randomly, as the man neared Adyel. The boy flinched a bit and knocked over the box that he was hidden behind. A few glass orbs had fallen and shattered as the lid flew apart the room, and slid toward Wikus. There, was a flaw, but the boy quickly scurried as the man spoke. Stating that he'll find him. In consideration the room is dark, and has an imprudent tone for not allowing Wikus to be more so creepy than he has already been.

The boy crawled under a rug and repondered the opportunity of changing into a lion. He could always scare the man off by roaring him in the face and pretend to pounce at him as if he were some cat catching prey. The boy kept his head low, not allowing himself to touch the tip most parts of the smooth rug. Though, the ground was cold, but the boy could manage. He stood silent and flinched a little as the man hurled another object. The dripping inked man spoke with a hoarse tone and mixed a little bit of anger within as well."Boy, if you don't come out... You'll be sorry... That you'll ever encounter me. Ergh."The man threw another piece of furniture, now merely trailing insane.

Boxes were knocked over and Adyel wanted to run. He kept still as the man neared him hoping for the best, to not be found again. How would he go about telling Kavala what he's been through? Would he just drop in the Sanctuary and speak "I'm home, and nothing malicious had happened to me." Or, just stay silent. And pretend nothing had happened. Though, Kavala could possibly figure out what had happened to him. He wanted to confront the man. But, be hadn't found the courage to do so. What can he possibly do?
