"Come on, boy," Vai re Ahnatep said to the mount slightly behind and to his left, the Eypharian walking along the ground. He lightly held the reins to the horse in his high-left hand, guiding him through the city. Vai would, of course, usually be astride his mount, towering over all, though he felt he needed to stretch his legs for today. The six-armed man was garbed in his light blue, loose trousers, leather armour on each of his wrists and shins, and his simple leather sandals. He lacked a shirt like always, though today, he was also noticeably lacking his weapon harness and spear. No need for it today, in his eyes.

The Eypharian guided Kuvi to the gates, the horse's bulk at his side easily parting the hustle and bustle for an easier trek. His arms still got more than a few stares, as it was still pretty early in the Season. Vai cared little, though. They could stare as they wanted, his blood was that of the Divine. He remembered an Eypharian proverb at that moment with a slightly amused grin, for no real reason other than circumstance. Why does your race have so many arms? asked the traveler. Because the weight of glory demands them, said the wise one. And much glory the Eypharian race held.

Vai nodded to the guard at the gates, saying easily before continuing on his way without another word: "I am only leaving for a few bells to go riding, Kuvi needs a stretch and I need to train. As they left the gates, Vai easily swung up onto the saddle, gathering the reins in his low and mid-hands, his high-hands lightly holding the edge of the saddle as he urged the horse into a trot, which then progressed into a light canter. He leaned forward in his saddle to lessen the resistance. The Eypharian's body was kept loose, attempting to ride along with the horse's movements instead of going against it. Vai did care about Kuvi's well-being after all, aye?

Vai pulled lightly on the reins, slowing the horse to a walk before using his left leg to start Kuvi off on a left-lead canter, making a very large circle back to the city, though never entering again, the horse and rider continuing on, before Vai leaned forward again. He indicated to Kuvi that he wanted to start a gallop, which he'd never really done before.

As the horse started up, it was noticeable that Vai was struggling to keep his form as they went, bouncing at weird intervals. He pulled his feet until only his toes were in the stirrups, and not too late, either. A particularly hard bump bounced Vai right off the back of the horse, lifting cleanly off. His high-hands immediately went to his head, covering the back of his neck as he slammed into the ground unmercifully. He rolled, keeping his body loose to avoid injury.

His body bounced roughly against the grass and hidden rocks, bared torso getting a fare share of scratches. As he slowed, body aching, he rolled onto his back, his breath coming out in pants as all of his arms fell out around him. Kuvi had noticed that sudden lack of weight and had turn back around, seeing his master lying on the floor. The horse trotted to Vai, his equine head leaning down and sniffing at Vai's face. The Eypharian's high-right reached up and patted to the horse's nose, sighing. "Give me a second, good sir."

[Amunet] Let's ride!

She had gone out earlier that morning to let Shetanae run. The mare needed the run even the red head needed to feel the wind in her hair and feel the strength of the land and her strider. A strength she lacked these days. All else is forgotten as the mare picked up pace and the girl leaned into the neck and shoulder as they galloped along. That red hair flowing like a flaming banner behind her as the dark dun strider happily obliged.

Her sharp eyes caught the sight of another rider. The mare and the red head slowed down as she neared the rider only to observe him flailing about quite unbalanced. An unbalanced seat provides for a rather uncomfortable ride and the horse usually would be also uncomfortable. The girl cringed as the rider unceremoniously was deposited onto the ground. By that time Shetanae and Amunet had come to a walk as the girl visibly winced as he hit rock, bushes and whatever else he rolled over. Shetanae would nicker at the stallion. The horse stopped and looked back at the mare.

Shetanae was a sixteen hand dark dun mare strider. She was a tall mare and well-muscled as her coat gleamed in the light. In contrast her rider was fair to light tanned skin with blood red hair. If the gentleman recalled her it still shown like blood red rubies in the sunlight. They were inbetween raindrops in the unpredictable weather as the girl dismounted her strider. The dismount was in a smooth transition that was well practiced and she made it look easy as no stirrups was used. There was no bridle or saddle on the mare. Only the yvas and a riding pad. The girl walked up in the grass, walking around the rocks and debris with a sure footing.

The poor man had fell hard and despite the unusualness of the six arm the look of compassion was clearly on her face. “Don’t move.” The girl said as she sunk to her knees and put a cool and calming hand on his forehead as she looked him over. “What hurts?” The girl asked softly. The girl methodically started going over bone and muscle more to determine if he broken a bone or not. The arms seemed to be intacked as her hand went over the bones seeking tender points that were not obvious surface bruising. Her clinical side was well in gear as the additional arms just provided her with additional items to check. The curiosity kicked in as to how they were all attached at the spine. Where the bones of this race different? The young Healer did not bother the man with such questions as it might be rude.

There was a smile as she looked back and chuckled. The stallion didn’t waste any time in coming near Shetanae. The mare was rather irked as her ears laid back periodically but it seemed the stallion was as charming as his owner. Those little fingers went in between the ribs one by one as she examined his torso. She moved to pull his top arms over her shoulders to lift his torso up without thinking. She grunted and pulled before the weight pulled her on top of him. “oh I am so sorry.” There was a look of true contrition in her expression as she patted his chest to make sure he was not damanged. The girl redoubled her efforts as those thin arms tried to do it again to bring his torso up so she could check his back rib cage and spine. Hopefully it was just scrapes and bruises.

Vai raised his head at the newcomer's voice and the snickering of their horse, one eye slightly closed and the other shut against the glare of the sun. Her fiery red hair was the first thing that caught his attention, then the hand on his forehead. He jerked back slightly, instinctively, before he complied and lowered his head with a soft sigh, his lower-left and mid-left arms shifting slightly into a more comfortable position.

"Mmmm, my body hurts," he answered in Common with a chuckle, his eyes closing as he just rested, grass tickling his ear. His left eye cracked open as he felt the woman's hands roaming over each of his arms, covering every inch as if checking for something. He didn't have any mizas on him, they were all at his home, so if she meant to relieve him of coin, well, she'd be severely disappointed.

His head raised at the woman's chuckle, both of his eyes opening fully in curiosity. His eyes moved to hers before to where she was looking, a snort of slight amusement coming from him as he laid his head back down. "Watch your mare around Kuvi," he warned jokingly. At least, he was only joking a tad. She really probably should. But if she wanted to raise little foals, he had no problem with that, but hai if he was going to help without some sort of compensation.

He hummed as she continued her examination - which he'd come to realize it was. His eyebrow arched as she took his higher-arms and attempted to pull him up, though it was an endeavor destined to fail. She was a small one, and he was considerably bigger, he could tell even from where he was. At first, he didn't even try to help her get him up, as he just wanted to rest for a moment longer. Until she fell on top of him. He grunted slightly at the added weight, however slight, before a look of amusement flashed across his face as she tried again.

This time, he helped, all four of his lower and mid-hands bracing and pushing him to his feet, revealing the height difference between the two. He was nearly, if not, a foot taller than her, and probably weighted another hundred pounds more than she. His higher-hands clasped, while his mid-hands held his higher-arm's elbows, lower-hands holding onto his mid-arm's elbows in turns. In a joint effort, all of his arms pushed up, his back arching and his body rising to the very tips of his toes in a warm, helpful stretch.

He sighed in relief, shaking all of his limbs out before bringing the fingers of his higher-right hands to his lips, emitting a few short, high-pitched whistles. The signal did not miss Kuvi, who left the mare alone - for now - and plodded over to Vai, neighing at the man a few times, the stallion bumping his head into the Eypharian's chest in a rough yet familiar and friendly manner. Vai patted his Desertbred's neck, adjusting his harness before his head turned as he felt the woman's hands on his back. "I am fine, my lady," he said politely. "Just a couple of cuts and bruises, nothing much. I'm not ready to gallop yet," he finished with a chuckle.

He glanced to the lady's mare, noting it's peculiar saddle-looking thing, the yvas, though Vai himself did not know the name of it. "What's that thing supposed to be, on your steed's back?" He motioned with his head to the mare, before his light brown eyes moved to the woman's blue ones.

There was a relief that he was ok as she remembered him from the episode with the dead knight at the gate entrance. Amunet smiled as she pressed her hands on his back and let the grace flow through her and into the man. He didn’t need any more bruises than he already has. The fortunate thing is bruising was bruising and it seemed to be similar to human bruising she figured. The warmth and well-being she wished for the man flowed with the grace. It was simple and sincere. “That better?” The girl asked in common.

Her mare knew how to handle herself. “Shetanae choose for self. Kuvi not Strider. Take much impress. “ She said with another light smile. There was a soft lilt to her accent with common that lent a soft elegance.

He asked about the thing on her horses back. She looked at her mare for a moment, confused as to what he was speaking of. “Ohh!” as she realized that most outsiders do not understand the Yvas. “That Yvas. Drykas no need anything else for ride.” She didn’t know saddle or bridle, though she has seen it from time to time. The amount of straps around a horse seemed restrictive and didn’t allow the horse to move as they needed to.

Amunet looked up into the man’s eyes with a curious expression. “what you?” It was an innocent question as to the Man’s race while she was still examining his physique in how those extra arms attached to his spine. The skeletal and musculature became fascinating to her. “How you move?” The girl boldly with her curiosity would lift one arm and see what range of motion it had.
