Sunberth Job board

Important noticeThough this location is not on the link map, players may still use it's location whether it be for the job board or other uses. The name of the tavern is "No Man's Land". Until further updates, player may self moderate the location unless noted otherwise.

In the center of town on the south side of the bridge where no gang claims the territory, stands a new building ready to open it's doors to the citizens of Sunberth. Just like any other tavern that one may walk into, patrons are met with dim lighting, tables to sit at, drinks and food to fill thier bellies, and a bard that sings the occasional tune. But for those seeking to start a life of making a name for one's self might visit the establishment for the large wooden board by the bartender with a plethora of papers plastered over it. This is known as "J.B" or the Job Board. A board where gangs, factions, and citizens alike post jobs for anyone to take a nab at whether it be freelancers, those looking for some extra miza, or someone looking to start a name for themselves. Jobs are on a first come first serve basis, ranging from simple tasks to complex missions and even a few false ads made by rival gangs to ambush unsuspecting enemies. Anyone is welcome to the establishment and the board no matter their affiliation, hence why the building was built in unclaimed territory.

The Job Board consists of 7 factions, each that post both moderated and self moderated jobs and tasks that they have not the time for or cannot do and asks for the assistance of outside help. Each request in on a first come first serve basis though some may require a certain set of skills and level for one to attempt. Once a job is taken, it will receive a "P" by it to show that it is currently claimed by someone and is pending completion, and will be replaced by another task. If a pc gives up on an uncompleted job, that pc will receive negative marks from that faction and the job will be re-opened for someone else to make an attempt at. If a job is completed, the posting of it will be taken down completely and replaced by another.

Job difficulty

The difficulty of a job will be determined by the color that it is posted in.

Legend :
Jobs that require no types of skills, level or reputation to attempt.

"Jobs that require some skill to attempt but no level or reputation"

"Jobs that require skill, level and minimum reputation points"

"Jobs that require a moderate amount of skills, level and reputation points"

"Jobs that require a high amount of skills, level, and a reputation points. Consists of multiple minor tasks that must be done to complete the entire job"

"These are moderated special jobs that may require a team with different sets of skill, levels and high reputation points. Consists of multiple tasks that must be done to complete the entire job. Also has special circumstances that may need to be met in order to attempt."

Reputation Points :
A man can gain respect in a number of ways whether it be through money, power, women, or even information. But in the world of being a nobody trying to become a somebody one of the best ways to become loved, or hated by many is through reputation points. Reputation points are similar to skill points or XP. The more positive points you gain the more you are known and loved, but like gnosis marks the more negative points you gain the more you are hated. Reputation points, or "Rp" can be gained or lost in many ways, not only from the way you carry out tasks from the job board, but as well as your actions in all of your threads. Here are two examples on how to gain and lose reputation points.

*Example 1* "Bob and his buddy knocked the man unconscious in front of the large crowd in the seaside market before quickly snatching his coin pouch and making a run for it. They didn't kill him, the Daggerhands wanted him to stay alive, to send a message." - 4 Rp (Citizens) +2 Rp(Daggerhands)

*Example 2* "Bob and his buddy picked up a job guarding a man who feared that the Daggerhands was going to use him as an example due to lack of payment. Bob saw one of the attackers first, acting quickly blocking the oncoming strike and subduing the man before any harm could be done." -4 Rp(Daggerhands) +2(Citizens)

These are just examples of how the Reputation system would work. As you can see in both examples, no matter what action Bob took, one faction praised him for it while another didn't. There are many ways to gain and loose points sometimes without intentionally meaning to for all the factions that dwell in Sunberth, as well as consequences and benefits.

Title Reputation Action
Stranger 1-25 Factions are aware of your contribution to their cause, but still see and treat you as another person on the street
Associate 26-50 Faction recognize you though it may not be by name. You may now walk freely as you wish through their territory unharmed as long as you act accordingly and they may warn you of danger but will not lift a finger to help you
Ally 51-75 Factions will come to your aide if you are in trouble, and maybe even toss you a small bone or two once and a while. You may now use their establishments at their expense.
Investment 75-100 You are highly favored of this faction. You are one of the first people they call when in dire need. They will assist you with anything at their disposal. You need a place to hide? No problem. Need someone assassinated? Consider it done. No request is too small for someone that contributes as much as you have.

Title Reputation Action
Annoyance (-)1-(-)25 You have disrespected the faction with your actions. Though no words will be said to you, there will be angry glares and turned noses upon your arrival.
Irritating (-)26-(-)50 At this point you have angered this faction enough where your very presence will cause people to distance themselves from you. No one will care if you are in trouble or will lift a finger to help.
Growing Pain/Frustration (-)51-(-)75 Watch your back when you walk through this factions territory. You are a target to be robbed, scammed, and yelled at. Some businesses may not welcome or serve you and if they do there may be piss in your ale, you may get bad or spoiled food as well as bad merchandise or even scammed
Menace/Irked/highly disliked (-)76-(-)100 If you somehow managed to piss a faction off this much you can forget about visiting that part of town for a while. And if you somehow manage to get into that part of town undetected, if you are noticed you will be chased out of that territory if not beaten, killed and in some cases assassinated.

Rules
Players must notify me and receive permission prior to claiming and attempting a job from the board. This can be done by a simple pm.

Players must confirm that they meet the requirements for the job at hand before claiming and attempting a job. (Skill, skill level, and reputation points/rp)

Once a job is claimed, a player has 72 hours (3 days) to start the job before it is deemed null and is re-opened on the job board.

All threads from the job board must contain a minimum of 2500 words to be deemed valid.

Jobs from the board may be counted as a job thread for freelance pc's as well as pc's with and without a job.

All players MUST specify if the job they are attempting will be used towards seasonal wages

All jobs excluding those marked in "green" may be self moderated.

*Suggestion* Players can create a spoiler in their signature displaying their rep points so other players know how to respond. Rep points can be checked here for reference if not displayed in the signature of pc's

If you have any questions please feel free to pm me.
