RPing as a Pirate!

Postby Charles Vane on August 26th, 2016, 6:22 pm

Hello All!

I am a new character that is looking to Join Mizahar as a scourge of the seas!

However, with the way the Skill system is set up here, I would have to work my way up before I can call myself captain of anything, so in the meantime, I was wondering how I would go about the Rp?

Being a Pirate meant you were part of a crew, so in that regard would I have to essentially create an entire NPC Crew for me to be a part of? How would that be moderated? Is it even feasible?

I would sure like to hear every ones comments and thoughts on the matter!

Thanks!

I would first suggest reading into the Starting Guide and the Races before you move much further. The guide is super helpful. You can locate it in the Welcome Message found in your Inbox.

Definitely do what Net said, that is always a good thing to do! But essentially yes you would have to focus on building up your skills. Svefra is a good race though to be if you want to be a pirate, they are the masters at sea navigation and sailing.

About your NPC crew, that is totally feasible! You would have to create the NPCs as a Travelling Companion (see the requirements in the lore page linked) and then sumbit them to the Help Desk. Technically you can start with these people on your Casinor as your Casinor can hold up to 6 people including yourself. This essentially mean you are the captain as it is your ship. However at your skill level you wont truly be able to do much pillaging. But you can try! Beware the consequences. I do not know the specifics of doing something like this, but ask an ST.

However as you raise your skills I would suggest trying to get a PC crew. Perhaps not your entire crew as that is difficult. But PCs will have better skill sets than your NPCs will ever have.

Junco is correct, also remember that NPCs you are required to pay their expenses for.
