Dwelling within this very frozen city; Avanthal, lies a quite unique Vantha. One of many mysteries and curiosities, Infilia. She's been quite down recently, mostly been pushing herself to play music, and work up the courage of being a storyteller, and a performer. She wanted to be like the other Vantha, get her Mark by Morwen, she should focus on embracing her culture with the rest of Avanthal. She started, but she wondered how long it'll last.

She kept replaying a letter inside her head. A message- her parents were still alive, but not for long. She needed to find them, and quick, before something happens, but she hadn't worked up the courage to leave Avanthal just yet. She also needed some money before she left, she doesn't have very much, the Snowsong would be quite happy if she earned some extra tips whilst performing, but of course things don't go as planned, and infilia has to discover other means of earning money before the end of Fall. Though, living in Avanthal isn't as hard, and she lives within the Snowsong Hold, so she has family, friends, and acquaintances, etc... but she felt lost.

With some of the other Snowsongs encouraging her to get better at playing the flute, and naming her flute, she just hadn't had any idea of what to play. If she could, she would just jump to somewhere else, and hopefully not deal with all of this peer pressure. Though, becoming a stroyteller and performer of the likes was quite important to the Snowsongs, and Infilia wondered if she were a true Snowsong. Was she? She really didn't know, and it's been twenty-one years. Twenty-one years of living as a Snowsong; without knowing who she really is. Of course, her birth parents gave her, her name, and her certain qualities.

Infilia had already gathered her flute, and put on some multiple layers of clothing; since it's Avanthal it's really cold- and Infilia has yet to earn her Mark. She was hoping to earn it soon. The Vantha continued on, and waved to the guards outside of the Snowsong Hold.

"See you later, Infilia." One of them spoke, with a smile and wave as Infilia cantered past them and hurried to the nearest street. Everything was ice, and to Infilia it seemed like a beautiful majestic palace of ice and frozen shards, and snow. She felt welcomed here, and she wished to stay for as long as she could. No worries at all, not for another few days at least, or maybe even until tomorrow. Sure, she still has her parents to worry about, but they could wait a few more days, maybe even a season. "After all, they've bothered not to come back." She scoffed, as she passed by another group of Avanthalians passing through and chattering, some wearing winter clothing, and some with small layers, both of men and women, but Infilia barely recognized them. She avoided the cracks of the ice beneath her, as she didn't want to slip or anything like that.

Ever since the 18th, Infilia's been curious about the new owls that seemed to have migrated here in Avanthal. She heard small talk about them, and the songs they've sung, but Infilia wanted to look for herself. She wondered if she could memorize one of the songs, after all- she doesn't have to come into the Red Diamond Tavern until later tonight. The bright hues of Syna's light shown foggily behind Morwens' clouds, creating some faint glow overlapping Avanthal, Syna's rays added an even more majestic scene that coincides with Morwens' winter. Who knew; that Winter colors mix well, with light colors? It looked so gorgeous, Infilia was merely entertained.

It proved of her creativity. She wondered how well she would be with drawing and coloring in her drawings. She wondered if she were just as good as the notorious artists around Mizahar. Though, she doubted that she would ever be as good as them, but it could always be worth the attempts. Even though, she was thinking of other things- her mindset was still on the owls. They seemed to be everywhere, but she wanted to travel to a location where there might not be as much people.

She hoped to find someplace, someplace where she can actually hear those beautiful looking owls sing. Day was slowly passing, and she hoped to do it soon.

Infilia had eventually found it; the place that she was yearning for, looking for. A place, where she would now be able to hear the beautiful tunes of the owls, and listen to what they sing. The Snowsong sat at a bench; she found herself residing within one of the glorious parks of Avanthal; her home, the home of the Avanthalians, and the Goddess; Morwen. There would be no better place, than Avanthal. It brought Infilia great joy, and tranquility, knowing that this was her home, and she was never unsettled here. The community was great; always filled with people, and mostly caring people, generous. Generous people; they were always ever so kind, and that's what Infilia planned to be, not completely cordial, but generous enough; like most others can be.

She can relinquish attitude. She has her rights, and she's quite dignified as a woman. She takes a lot of pride into it, and she's waiting for that right man to come and save her from her woes and sorrows. Though, she hasn't been feeling much lately; woes and sorrows. They didn't seem to have appeared to her, the fact that they could engage any time, and any moment. If she chooses not to think about the dangers that await her of every second of every day; she'd most likely be fine. With a quiet sigh, she was relieved to find a bench to sit at. Her feet glided across the ice stone pathway as she made her way to the bench. Infilia hummed lightly, a tune made for joy and fun. She wondered what the owls had in stock.

I want to know; what songs you'll play.Infilia thought to herself. She glared at a snow owl, who was pecking at his feathers continuously, and cleaning itself away of any grime and muck that it had gotten itself into.

"Please, please, play something; for me?" Infilia asked aloud, she watched the snow owl some more, as she waited. She hadn't thought of what else to do; she almost had forgotten about her flute case that was tucked inside her trench coat. Infilia felt the small jab from her case, and remembered. She pulled out the rectangular like case and laid it flat on the empty spot beside her, on the bench. With a sigh, she opened it carefully, as if it were a glass item, labeled "fragile." She knew that an instrument was fragile- it was also so quite valuable. Especially, to performers and entertainers.

Infilia studied the silver instrument. Her eyes twinged a golden sunflower hue. They glimmered against the rays of Syna's light. The Snowsong, she picked up her flute with careful precision, wishing not to drop her precious instrument. "If I want to be like a Snowsong- I would have to practice like one." She said to herself. "That also means; in public." She sighed, looking around, there were only a few people wandering about, but enough to hear her play. Fortunately, it wasn't a loud crows today here, at the park. Nonetheless, there were still quite a number of Avanthalians wandering the park alone. Perhaps they would wish to see her play? Just for a little bit, it won't hurt, would it not?

She started to play.

And a small gentle voice played alongside with her.

[Red Diamond Tavern]Playing along with Memory

As Infilia played her flute, the tunes were soothing, but not in tune, and the melody wasn't exact. Whenever she played a high note at random, the owl would play a lower sounding note. It was fun, but the melodies never were completely in check. The owl was beautiful; of course, but nonetheless, playing a flute was more difficult, especially, when Infilia attempted to match the notes of the owl. Suddenly, after a few chimes of playing, the owl stopped its beautiful singing.

Why'd you stop?Infilia wondered; she stopped her playing, and her conclusion ended with an awkward note, as Infilia lowered it to her chest, and waited for the owl. It hooted some at her, twisting it's neck; stretching, Infilia assumed. Then, there was a few notes sung by the owl. Infilia recognized the notes, 4 beats, all in the same tune. The Snowsong wondered whether or not if she would either have to sing it; she chuckled some, as she thought that she was getting lessons by a singing owl. Of course, it was quite funny to watch, but perhaps one could learn from an animal with such insight. It would be quite helpful, for sure. Totally, when Infilia isn't as such a professional with the arts of performing; and it's not like this owl can teach her how to perform, now can it? The owl repeated the same 4 beats, monotone like, as if the same pitch.

Infilia placed her flute back into it's case; carefully. Of course she had to keep it protected, and at all costs. "Ah, ah, ah, ah." Infilia sung, she sang her words in Vani, as best she could, she tried to sound clear and vibrant, but she couldn't match the owl exactly. She flushed some, seeing as there were others wandering and looking for the owls as well, but hopefully they could find their own owls. Otherwise, Infilia would be completely embarrassed, well, not completely, but enough to change her eye color. Her excitement of playing with the owl quickly diminished as she was getting content, but she was merely coming to nervousness. She never played in front of an owl; especially owls like these as well.

The thought of the Red Diamond Tavern; it was slowly beginning to creep back into her thoughts. Though, she figured that she would still have enough free time to sing and play the flute, she hoped for the best that the owl could teach her a song before she walks into the Red Diamond Tavern unprepared.

"Avanthal shines." Infilia began to sing. "Ah, ah, ah, ah." She added, the notes slurred, some of the pitches differed. "For thousands of chimes." She continued, slow, and steady, a calm rhyming pattern.

The owl continued- "Oh, oh, oh." Infilia smiled; she was beginning to feel her warmth returning, well, metaphorically speaking, but she still felt that tranquility, and she was sure that it was the owl singing.

"Coming darkness; the icy stones,"
"They shall not shatter."
"While the children play,"
"And the adults make chatter."
"When snow gently falls."
"Morwen calls."
"Ah, ah, ah, ah."
"Come my children."
"Time for us to celebrate."
"Live, live, in peace, and harmony."
"Ah, ah, ah, ah."
"Let us prepare for the new year."
"May you forever, forever, hold your peace."
"Ah...."

Infilia ended her song. She smiled, listening to the owl continue. The owl just watched Infilia with open eyes, and continued to glare at her. The Snowsong just smiled and nodded, she turned to face her case once more, and before closing it, the thought of the Red Diamond Tavern had come across her once more, and she realized.

She had to get to work.
