Character Concept

Velm Horest is pretty much a blank, even though his memory is bad, to say the least, he has a sturdy personality of someone who has been through his fair share of life-and-death battles. Although he is not complete he likes to collect money, it's sort of a hobby. Inside his house is all of the money he has collected. He does not know how he died, or why, but he has great feeling of wanting to stay in the mortal realm, and will probably end up like one of the Ancient ones, forever staying as a ghost. For some reason his abilities of a ghost are a lot stronger than others, but that was probably because he spent 200 years as a ghost, granted he only awakened to awareness 18 or so years ago. But most of his skill from before, as a human, are missing.
Although he does not actually hunt it, when he was 'not awake' he followed his family Heirloom, an amulet, for those 200 hundred years until it ended up in a abandoned house in Avanthal, where he now lives. Probably as long as the amulet is still complete(?) Velm will stay as a ghost. He remembers that someone, who he holds dear to himself, owned the amulet, and it was given to him for safekeeping. Even though he knows realistically that the person is probably dead, he will continue to safeguard the amulet until the person claims it back.

Character History

Velm Horest does not remember much of his past. He remembers bits and pieces, that often come to him in the form of Flashbacks. Most of his past consists of fighting and of hunger. He was born in the time where the people had emerged from the ground and they were still fighting for their lives.

House: 1 basic 20x20 Arvinta in a Hold with a hearth, bunk, chest, chair, and small table, all of his items are inside his home.

Each Arvinta consists of a communal meeting or sitting room. Then there are private rooms for couples, and a common sleeping/living room for all the children. Visitors are often given a private room, while a couple will move in with the children to make extra room. Some of the larger, more expansive Holds with wealthier families have spare rooms in their Arvinta or special guest quarters when people move from place to place visiting. Holds often have common areas and craft cottages in buildings attached and are always made of solid stone. External buildings are often built from ice and warmed from within by special braziers that conduct heat into the room but do not melt the thick ice walls. A Hold may contain multiple Arvintas and might hold upwards of a couple hundred people.

µ Hello! Welcome to Mizahar! µ

First and foremost, the city of Avanthal is currently not open for roleplaying.

As a result, you will have to either relocate your PC to a city that is open, or change their history/character concept so they would naturally start in a different city (one that is open). Since this may result in drastic character changes, I will hold off further review until you’ve Private Messaged me with the change.

Secondly, I have noticed some similarities between Velm Horest and Victor Delwar. If these PCs both belong to the same writer, please be aware of Mizahar’s rules about Alt PCs since they cannot both play in the same city/domain.


Once you have made the necessary changes, please PM / Private Message me (using the envelope button) and I'll remove this intervention. I'm also happy to answer any questions you may have.
