The days of hard work goes by. Life just seemed to pass Shainn by like the wind. Oh, how he loved the wind, the breeze in his fur, the ability to see everything. It was just magnificent, and Shainn would kill to stay an owl if he could, but there was a downside to being an owl. They had trouble seeing in the daylight. So, Shainn made his best effort to stay human in the daytime. Though, he could be an owl if he really wanted to. He had his pack with him, which had his belongings (well... of what he had to begin with) and his wits.

It wasn't much, but he had hoped that Professor Corbin was doing alright since Nyssa had stolen the paperwork that was planned to help the other Kelvics (including Shainn, himself) in the institute and around the world. Shainn found the woman, but there was something that held Shainn back. He didn't feel like thinking about, the one thing that he could think about now... was the fact that he could spend his time with the interesting people at the Bazaar.

Shainn was wondering the streets, and decided to take a tour of the wonderful things being sold at within the wonderful city of Ravok. Everything was just grand, and Shainn couldn't be any happier to be outside again. He could stretch his wings, like right now, but Shainn's stomach was telling him something different. It was time to get something to eat.

An Unexpected Spoon

There was a man behind the stall which displayed meats. Shainn noticed the familiar smell from afar. The familiar smell which was the meats of course, the smell of man was one too, Shainn just didn't care for the smell of man. It was the food he was after, and it was food that he wanted to get. So he'll get it.

He bumped his way through a couple of other people to just get to the stall he was after. He wasn't too sorry, and he mumbled towards the others to watch where they were walking. Though, it was quiet enough where Shainn could barely hear himself speak. It would've been better if he just spoke in his own head. Though, he was stubborn for an owl, and not so wise as one might be. On the other hand, he was quite decisive.

"What can I do for you?"The man asked, and Shainn gazed at the fresh meats displayed on top of the counter. The fish, it had been seasoned, and it smelled really good. For an owl, he really liked fish, but he would prefer mouse, or rat. Though, rat when it's cooked, at least that's how he wished they were ever that way.

"How much for the fish?" Shainn asked and pointed towards the pickled fish on display. The man smiled, and was glad that someone was interested in the display of pickled fish.

"Three Gold Mizas a pound." The man said with a smirk, and slid the fish closer to Shainn so that the Kelvic could observe it even better. The temptation was enough for Shainn to buy some, and he didn't hesitate as he pulled out the three Golden Mizas.

"Here," Shainn said and dropped the Mizas on the counter top. He grabbed the packaged fish, and continued his way down the street, interested in whatever else he could find, as he's wandering the Bazaar. He ate his food as he walked, and savored the flavor. It was by far one of the best things that he's tasted in years. Other than raw mouse.

An Unexpected Spoon

Day, Season, Year
Location: Bazaar Streets

Shainn picked at the pickled fish as he made his way down the street. He made sure to avoid the guards who patrolled the streets. He encountered one awhile ago, and it didn't really go well. The guy who managed the Bell Tower thought that Shainn was climbing it, and it ended better than what Shainn expected. Except, he wished he didn't have to encounter that guard again. He hated guards who acted more of a prick than Shainn does.

If they didn't hold the law around here, Shainn would have had punched him on the spot, but he had to keep his composure for Professor Corbin. He didn't want to lose the one man that was willingly nice to Shainn.

His experiments were working. They were doing the job for Shainn, but recently the relationships that he had with the other birds at the KRI were not good. They were getting jealous of his progression. Shainn had been insulted repeatedly because of his progress, but if Shainn was going to be a better Kelvic with those experiments he should just ignore the others from now on.

He choked on a piece of fish, and swallowed it with a deep gasp as he noticed something strange: it was a spoon. It was fancy looking. With smooth edges, and with a dark colored handle, the head of the spoon was like a creamy vanilla white, and it was interesting to Shainn. It was totally unexpected. He looked around, to make sure no one was watching him and he made his way towards the spoon. He was holding the fish in one hand, and picked the spoon up with his other hand. He wondered why it was just laying on the ground?

He remembered that he needed to get back to the KRI. So he carefully slid the spoon in his pocket and headed towards the Kelvic Research Institute, and hoped for the best that the guards won't mistreat him at all for being a few chimes late?

An Unexpected Spoon

Day, Season, Year
Location: KRI

Shainn finished the pound of pickled fish since he was sure that the KRI wouldn't allow him to make a mess with the crumbs within the building. He kept the spoon in his pocket, though he was searched as he walked in. The same guard was still on patrol, and Shainn couldn't process whether that was a good thing or if that was a bad thing... Shainn could give two shykes about it. He waltzed right into the building after he was padded down. The guard thought that the spoon was just something weird for Shainn to bring back from his travels, but Shainn was glad to have it back. It was a unique looking and Shainn didn't feel obliged to throw it away.

He walked in with the follow up of another two escorts. Guards like the similar ones outside, hired by the KRI. He was escorted back to his cage. His home where he felt safe enough to do what he pleased. So long if he did what he was told.
