Looking for a writing home.

Hey everyone!

My name is Povilas (Pov, Povi) and I come from a little eastern European country called Lithuania.

I am a copywriter by trade, but usually I write proposals, communication and create various activities. I wanted to find something that would allow me to write constantly in a high fantasy setting. I want to make various forms of writing a routine in my life to improve my career and personal life. I have PBP role-played before, but it was 10 years ago and I remember that PBP RPGs have the best graphics around

When I started looking for a good PBP forum I immediately found out that it is really hard. Most of the forums are dying due to inactivity or are just not quite right for me. Subjectively.

What I love (and hate) about Mizahar is the immense and awesome structure of the game. Wow. I mean WOW. An amazing world with carefully thought out mechanics for writing, character development and world influence. A-MAZE-ING. On the other hand, as a newcomer I have to tell you it is a biiiiiiit overwhelming. I guess one step at a time and I'll see how strict the policy is on ignorance, because the amount of detail you have is staggering (The stay at a poor inn costs 2SM – damn we need to make some cheaper options for the folk).

I would like to meet some great people, write with them, learn with them and ultimately have a great time.

After becoming acquainted with the lore intimately, do not fear! There are hundreds of Helping Hands (Totally intended there) to assist you on your way to the Eternal Bog of Mizahar - You can find them in the Chat, green people are chat moderators and they are highly knowledgable and are super friendly, if they are not available for whatever reason, ask around several of the players there are vets and know a fair deal of the lore. If they do not know something, they will redirect you to someone else or try to locate the answer for you. if at anytime you see a red name in Chat they are Founders, turn to them if they are actively around and they can help you as well!

Storytellers of the varies cities that are open sometimes frequent chat in a variety of guises, if in doubt ask who runs what city private message them on the site (use the little envelope to the left underneath their name). Remember they are the founts of knowledge for a specific city, so they are helpful for that place utterly and completely. Use them!

Welcome! I was overwhelmed at the amount of lore at first also. I found the best way is to follow the information that Tierra has already pointed you to above. I found the first three bullets particularly helpful at the get go.

For me, I was able to pick a region that felt/fit best with my PC type and then learned that region's lore. It helped me break things down in tinier bites.

I'd love to point you to a region but I know how important the actual setting was for my character considering her history and lifestyle, so pick what feels right and if you play a season and aren't comfortable... you can always migrate to another.
