Considered one of the most mysterious cities in Mizahar, Alvadas is called The City of Illusions. It is the home of Ionu and the notorious Inverted. This city sits on one of the main crossroads through The Region of Kalea.

A peaceful sort of silence had fallen over Alvadas. If he were anywhere else, Alvaros would have thought nothing of the calm atmosphere. In Alvadas, however, it was out of place and frankly alarming. Something bad was bound to happen at some point; he'd been in the city long enough to know that.

Despite the overbearing sense of waiting that the young Isur felt, he was out and about, traveling the snow-peppered streets in search of anything that might interest him. Occasionally, he would pass another Alvad, but the town seemed barren otherwise. Maybe the frigid weather was keeping everyone holed up inside.

The faint buzz of conversation in the near distance captured Alv's attention, and he slowed his gait, his eyes attentive. Curious, he scampered up the hill that the road sloped into and peered around the corner of a building. A cluster of humans, all standing about and boasting a myriad of weapons... in their undergarments. Alvaros felt heat rise to his face, eyes widening. "This has to be an illusion," he muttered; the strange mob's eyes turned, then, to fixate upon him with furious glares. 'Definitely an illusion.' As soon as they all took off in his direction, yelling and spitting, Alv spun around on his heels and sprinted back the way he came.

Alvaros could hear the thunder of feet - bare feet - on the street behind him as he continued on his rapid retreat, muttering a string of swears under his breath.
How was this possible?! It shouldn't have been possible. Nothing made sense. He scowled. 'Curse this ridiculous city.'

He rounded a corner, relieved to hear the sound of footfall fading as he distanced himself from the illusion. What he hadn't expected was another person coming around at the same time as him - a real person. Moving much too quickly to try and stop, all he could do was put his arms out, yelp, "Watch out!" and hope for the best.

Slippery Situation

It was one of the milder days of the season so far; Aster for once had her cloak resting normally around her shoulders instead of clutched up around her face. She really ought to find some warmer clothes, and something to wear about her head. The cloak she had on was thick and fur-trimmed, but the hood did nothing since she couldn't wear it half of the time, and the wind had a way of darting between the folds of her cloak, beneath which she only wore a cotton dress.

Her bare hands were tucked in the pockets of her cloak, and while her cheeks and nose were faintly rosier than the rest of her shining skin, she wasn't shivering too often. Her experience with winter was minimal, but she didn't remember it being so cold. Perhaps she'd just forgotten what winter felt like, given its absence previously.

Snowflakes fluttered gently from the sky, sparse and light, melting almost as soon as they landed on her skin and horns. Her hair, however, was littered with them. Glittering white covered the loose fawn waves liberally. Since she was out already, perhaps she should seek out a clothing shop...

Aster looked up, peering around to see if there was anything of the sort nearby, though she doubted she would be so lucky. As she did so, she felt her foot hit a patch of ice that she was certain had not been there five seconds ago.

Ethaefal were elegant creatures. Statuesque and imbued with an ethereal beauty, they moved with grace that only added to the alien and yet wonderful quality of them. It was vain, but Aster prided herself on said natural grace and how it clearly spoke of her otherworldly nature.

So to see a normally poised and elegant creature such as herself go sliding entirely clumsily across a patch of ice, arms windmilling and an undignified squeak leaving her, was baffling and most likely highly amusing.

Her feet skidded beneath her, legs going in different directions like that of a newborn foal. Distantly, she heard someone shouting as she went flying past the corner of a building, only to have a solid form collide with her.

The breath rushed out of her, and she and whoever had crashed into her went tumbling to the street, sliding across the ice and rolling into a snow pile. Aster lay dazed and stunned for a moment, the sky twirling above her as she blinked to clear the dizziness from her head.

The other person had landed partially on top of her, and she pushed herself up into a half-sitting position on one elbow, furrowing her brows as she stared down at the man who had run into her. She wasn't sure whether to be more upset with him or herself, and irritation warred with bemusement at the whole ridiculous situation as she stared at him. Conflicted as she was, she ended up saying nothing, simply staring at the man with pursed lips and a furrowed brow, but something in her golden gaze glittered with humour.

Snow clung to her cloak and dress, and she could feel some of it that had snaked its way down into her boots and down the back of her neck. A few clumps sat in her hair as well, and she brushed them away, clearing her shoulders as well. She was beginning to feel the cold seep into her skin.
"Well," she finally spoke, and though it was hard to tell from the cold, she was blushing faintly as the situation they were in finally clicked in her head.

She cleared her throat, glancing away, and nudged the man's side with her knee purposefully to try and get him to stand, or at least move over so she could extract herself from the pile of snow and the embarrassing situation.
