:::Attractions:::

The Floating Botanicals is a marvel of Mizahar's best and brightest. The structure of the ship is simply massive. It's displacement is that of a wide schooner and slightly longer but the hull appears to be shallow. What most do not see is the drop which extends well below the surface of the water. This is to help create enough buoyancy to support the massive amounts of customizations done to the upper decks. Built in the Ravokan Shipyard, it was pushed and dragged with magic and the might of many water gliders into a position north of the city but easily reachable by a glider within five chimes. Due to Ravok's mild and predictable weather, there was no need seen to anchor the floating terrarium since the sheer amount of chain needed would have been so expensive. The family has agreed to have the location monitored in the early stages of their new theme park which put the inquiring minds of some city officials at ease.

The vessel is a massive floating park divided into four regions and each has its own unique wildlife, culture and a gathering area for private rendezvous or large parties. The Lark family has made their money in the slave trade which takes them all over Mizahar. They often return with exotic items, relics of distant cultures and even strange animals. Now, as a way of giving back to their city, the Lark family has come up with a way to share these treasures with the public. For a fee of 1 GM per body, any citizen or properly documented visitor may enter and peruse the grounds to witness the vast diversity of a world that most Ravokians never see. The Aviary, the Reflection Pools and the Jungle zones can all be reached from the main boardwalk. The Ukalas Lookout can be reached from either the Aviary or the Jungle and the Pool and Aviary share a back passage.

The boardwalk along the entrance not only receives water gliders and personal watercraft but it is littered with buskers, food vendors and artists all willing to pay for their spot in the belief that they can make good money pedaling their wares. It's got plenty of room and a nice view of the city. Given time, it may become an attraction all of its own.

The Aviary
Image One of the easiest things to transport in terms of exotic merchandise is a bird. Caravans and ships from every corner of Mizahar leave with the promise to return with bodies for the slave market. The men and women who make these voyages are all motivated by similar things and all of it shiny and expensive. Every continent on Mizahar has its own birds and some are more beautiful than the finest of gems. Over a dozen exotic species are on board under the netted canopy. Most of these come in pairs but there are a few groups where there are as many as four or six birds of the same type.

The Aviary is mostly flat in terms of terrain. There are more trees in this area alone than all of Ravok. Stone and wooden paths cut back and forth through the zone. There are benches in the shade, small pools of water and a rose quartz patio with braziers hanging from a dozen posts. There's tables and chairs plus room for a small performance if need be.

The Jungle
ImageKnowledge is power. Rhysol understands this and so, too, do the men and women who serve him. One of the best ways to learn is to observe and record findings over a long period of time. The Lark family has spent a large sum of money, time and lives to develop their trade. In exchange, they have been able to gather specimen from the far reaches of Mizahar. While in other countries, saplings are plucked from the soil and maintained with the highest of regards during the long journeys back to the lake.

The fruit of this labor is displayed in the jungle biome. Its lush canopy all but creates an atmosphere of false night along the boardwalks and rope bridges that criss-cross the section. There are a few stops near trickling waters where visitors can stop to rest and refresh themselves though it is often unwise to linger for long. Many of the trees were filled with critters and bugs and a few managed to survive the trip to Ravok. It is not uncommon in the Jungle area to get bit by a strange-looking fly or hissed at by a creepy lizard.

Ukalas Lookout
ImageNear the middle of the huge vessel is a towering earthen structure supported by dense rock and some well-crafted rigging. This high-rise podium of sculpted soil has a path carved around in an upward spiral that leads to the small summit. Here rests a stone structure with a covered wooden platform upon it that can be used for experiencing some of the best views in all of Syliras. Ravok can be seen like never before as can the entire breadth and width of Lake Ravok. While the city is in grand detail, some of the distant shores are merely tall shadows on the horizon but it gives a wonderful perspective of the beauty that comprises the floating city.

Under the roof of the lookout deck is a small shrine dedicated to Rhysol. A singular obsidian pillar rises four feet up from the center of the floor. On top of it is an elegantly carved black sun that bears a kind, non-descript face bearing two smooth white pebbles for eyes. Around the likeness are four black jars for offerings and a couple of stands for burning incense or leaving tokens. While often an isolated area, there is a secret access for staff so stealing from the offering containers is highly ill-advised. (Though it should be stated that no Ravokian would ever steal from Rhysol)

Reflection Pools
ImageAt the back of the small floating island rests an area created with a very specific purpose. Several carefully crafted rock formations trickle soft waterfalls into multiple pools where coy fish are allowed to lazily swim about among vibrant and colorful foliage. Benches and smoothed out platforms create plenty of room for visitors to stretch out and relax. There's also a small area covered by canvas which is designed for group meditation.

:::NPCs:::

Christa
ImageName: Christa leLune
Position: Head Gardener
Race: Human
DOB: Fall 1, 486 AV
POB: Ravok
Skills: Botany: 71, Herbalism: 66, Gardening: 61, Organization: 51
Description: A cute woman, Christa comes from a merchant family who tried several times to marry her off. The vows never took for her true love is all manner of plants. The native Ravokian would rather sing to her plants than talk to a god though she does often wonder about Bala. She's short, petite and extremely testy when things are out of order. For one so small, it's amazing how well she can motivate her staff through fear. Once, a hired hand watered a section of the Aviary well out of the given schedule. Not only was he fired but the tongue-lashing he received was so severe that he jumped overboard so that it would end.

Radcliff
ImageName: Radcliff Giuseppe Lark
Position: The Boss
Race: Human
DOB: Spring 47, 483 AV
POB: Ravok
Skills: Hypnotism: 81, Persuasion: 78, Intimidation: 65, Leadership: 58, Investigation: 54, Rhetoric: 49, Torture: 37
Description: Radcliff is a nephew to Vernon Lark and one of the more well-known members of the middle generation. He is savvy, impetuous and clever but most of all, he is cruel. The man hates to lose and tends to find a way around almost any situation that seems unfavorable. With strong ties to the Ebonstryfe, he has arrangements to trade favors with the Order in exchange for mages to upkeep the magical mechanics of the floating park as well as kelvics from the KRI. These slaves are shifted into their animal form with the drug, Mevakal, to ensure a good variety of animals for each area. Radcliff might not look like much with his slight build and fancy dress but the man is absolutely ruthless. If one ever finds the way into the depths of Lake Ravok, there's more than a few skeletons waiting to talk all about it.
