5th of Fall 517 A.V.

Maya leaned back in the ravosala as the driver carried her to her destination. Looking at the building’s around her, the woman was excited to finally get away from her family for a bit. She loved her family, but sometimes she just needed some time where it was just her. Or in this case, her and the ravosalaman that was taking her to her destination. The dark-haired beauty was on her way to visit Café Fluer for the first time. She had overheard a couple of the slaves gushing about the sweets sold at the establishment. Though always working hard to keep her form skinny, the woman did enjoy having the sugary substances.

“How much further?” the woman asked.

“Just another ten chimes or so ma’am,” the man said while bowing his head some.

“Good,” Maya turned herself back forward once more.

She was not a patient woman, never had been even as a child. The girl wanted everything fast and to the point or it was useless in her mind. When taken to parties the woman stood to the side watching those around her. She had always been cautious as a young girl and now as a young adult it was the exact same. Soon the building was within her sight; looking over the outside she was not impressed by what, it looked like in the least. Making a face the woman stood up when the ravosala came to a stop before stepping off. Telling the man to come back within a bells times, she walked up to the building. Moving some of the greenery out of the way, the woman walked under the canopy. Nodding her head, the girl was slightly more impressed by the actual architecture.

“Beautiful, yet too much greenery on the outside to see it,” Maya said while walking over to the door.

She was not impressed so far; the only hope left was that the food and drinks within was better than the décor. Opening the door, the woman stepped on foot inside while looking around, her iron fan catching the light. The girl found it more enjoyable to use her fan than use a larger more intimidating blade. Not only could she fan herself, but also slice her enemies in half if needed to.

Sugar, Sugar, and Sugar

Opening the door, she walked inside and looked around at the quaint décor. Looking over, the woman saw the counter that held what appeared to be pastries. Approaching she took a paper that had what looked to be the menu on it. The young Lark allowed the man to speak with another customer while she contemplated what to get. A growl in her stomach region made a slight grimace appear on her face. It was clear the little bit of bread and cheese was not going to hold her. Soon enough the older man walked over to the woman and smirked at her.

“Well hello beautiful, what can I do for you?” he asked with a smirk.

“What is your prices on your drinks?” Maya inquired looking up at him as her bangs fell over one eye.

“The tea prices are 2 silver mizas that includes any seasonal flavors you would like, however our alcohol prices vary, and water is free,” Darnel said while introducing himself.

“Hm, give me the salad and a glass of wine. I will be out back,” Maya said not giving her name.

Walking outside, the woman sighed and sat down looking out at the water quietly. Her father had told her to never give her last name unless she wanted to have people gush over her. Since that was not her intentions the girl got comfortable crossing one leg over the other listening to the lapping of the water against the stones. The cool metal of the chair felt good against the skin that was exposed on her back. A soft breeze blew through the smell of rain was still thick in the sky. Glancing up she could see clouds beginning to form once again. The second day of the season had held a good bit of rain, now it seemed more would be joining them.

The sound of the door opening made the girl look over. A maid walked over putting her plate before her along with the glass of wine. Waving her away the girl began to eat and sip on her wine. A strange dark item under one of the far tables caught her attention. Standing up, the woman walked over and knelt down reaching under picking it up. Dusting her one hand the girl was stunned to see a beautifully decorated spoon. It seemed very out of place at the business, looking around she slipped it into her pocket and returned to eating. Once finished the woman left the money for the meal on the table and walked out front to get her ride.
