41st Day of Fall, 518 AV

The sound of the waves of lake Ravok lapping on the beach before his was soothing to the ears of the pale wizard as he strode through the dirt, his gaze staring far into the horizon. It was a day like any other and yet it was entirely different. It seemed more calm than usual and the Caldera felt oddly at ease with the world around his, his normally troubled thoughts quelled by the calm of the day and the rhythmic ebb and flow of the waters. Elias considered this to be the perfect spot for today’s exercise so he carefully unclasped his cloak and slipped off his boots. It was a shame Ravok did not have the same sandy beaches as Zeltiva or Mura, but there was something about the rich, dark earth of his homeland between his toes that just couldn’t be replaced.

The wizard placed the weathered cloak down on the ground, creating a form of mat for his to sit on. He carefully sat down upon it, his breath escaping his in a slight sigh. These trips out of the city always had ways of leaving his drained from bells of travelling by barge. It was all worth it off course, to be away from the prying eyes of others and possessing privacy to use his reimancy. It was also a fair bit safer for using the full extent of his power, which was what he intended to do and more today.

The reimancer decided to differ from his usual routine, at least for the moment. He did not glyph up his body, nor did he enter into meditation. That was because today was going to be very different in regards of how he was going to experiment. It would be as much an internal exercise as it would be external. The past few days had revealed an ugly truth to him, and that was how very little he actually knew in regards to his own powers. Certainly he knew the basics and some advanced concepts, but it had been a long while since last he had actually sat down and reflected upon his own abilities.

The stryfer sat cross legged, with both hands out stretched. Slow verses of the ancient tongue spilled from his lips as he focused the energy within to both of his hands. Djed was forced from his very body and slowly began to generate around both of his hands, sheathing them in clear, translucent liquid.

Res is the life blood of a reimancer, more important than air or water. It is the essence of who the wizard is, a piece of their very being. Through shaping this substance a reimancer gains power over the natural elements and mastery of the physical world.

His mind was going through the aspects of reimancy as they existed, everything he knew and had learned over his years of practicing the powerful discipline. The man’s eyes were fixed upon the res, admiring the warm liquid as it shifted over his hands and caressed the flesh from whence it had come. It looked like a deceptively simple thing, but the power he could wield through it was beyond the scope of most mortal imagination.

Of course, the urge was always there, edging him on to expel more of the substance from his body. Euphoric visions of unspeakable chaos and destruction flashed through his mind, thoughts that couldn't help but bring a slight grin to his face. Those visions would be fulfilled one day, he would see to that. One day, he would pull the wool from the eyes of the fools of this world and show them the truth, that the truth of Rhysol could not be denied.

Elias pushed aside the visions and focused upon the res adorning both of his hand, his chanting still low. This was merely the precursor of the rest of the day to come. He couldn’t let himself be distracted.

Elias willed the res from his hands upwards, separating the glove of liquid from his flesh easily. He knew that control was absolutely paramount when it came to manipulating res, his own control was certainly not perfect but it was indeed formidable. The need for more however, was ever present and ever demanding.

The elements are a powerful force in the right hands. If used poorly they can lead to the demise of the sorcerer fool enough to abuse them. The caster is not immune from the dangers of the elements merely because they can manipulate them. Giving too much Djed can and will result in your own destruction, or a fate that makes one wish for such an end.

Elias focused on the small ball hovering to his right, willing the res on the outer layer to ignite. Brilliant flames responded to the strength of his will and danced in the air before him, the heat grim and noticeable. Fire had not been his first element in the wake of his initiation, but even so its manipulation and grace had come to him just as naturally as water had in the beginning. As he understood it, developing opposites one after the other as he had with water and then fire was not unheard of, but certainly not common. The two elements were complete contrast of one another, which made their combination particularly impractical and troublesome for most mages. For Elias, he felt as if their coincidental emergence within him only reflect the conflict in his spirit at the time. He had been in great turmoil for a very long while during his youth as an apprentice arcanist, and he believed that had given rise to a turmoil in his magic as well. In the end he had conquered each element as was his god given obligation, learning to make peace with both while also bringing them together to better serve his will.

Fire. The bringer of life and destruction. It is one of the most potent forces one can wield, wild, devastating and endlessly hungering. A wise man does not seek to control this hunger. A wise mage does not dare deny it. The flame can be birthed, given purpose, given life, but never truly leashed. To do so is to weaken it, to forsake its awesome might and contradict its greatness. The flame must be given guidance, shown the path but never led down it. A mage who is strong enough to understand this and to understand the flame knows that to harness its blistering radiance is to understand first how fire will flow, how make it flow as his will dictates, and upon its brilliant emancipation, when to stand back and simply let its fury unfold.

Elias held his gaze upon the flame for a moment longer, before transmuting the inner layers and casting it out into the waves. His attention then fell upon the ball of res to his left. Elias willed the outer layer to harden and condense. Dust began to swirl and take form within his palm until finally a ball of smooth stone hovered in the air before him. This was his most recent element and the one that he had been struggling to understand for seasons now, if not longer.

Earth. The unyielding foundation. It is a force of order at its finest; predicable, sturdy, unchanging and resolute. To control the earth is to move mountains and shake the very foundations of the world. Once moved to action, earth can be one’s greatest bulwark and a terrible weapon. With enough skill and patience, a geomancer can raise marvels from the stone, or just as easily tear them asunder.

Elias gazed at the smooth orb of earth a moment longer before willing its inner layers to begin to transmute, casting it into the waves as he did. The reimancer, breathed in through his nose and out through his mouth after the task was done. He needed to calm his mind before attempting to manipulate more res without the aid of his focus runes. Meditation on the concepts was wise before continuing onwards in his training today.

The euphoria of casting made achieving calm slightly more difficult, but he had not used much, and his reserves were still very much ready for use. The visions of destruction and carnage faded from his immediate thoughts, quickly becoming a mere dull throb in the back of his mind as the chimes moved on. The wizard closed his blue eyes and moved his calming mind to the concepts he knew to be true in regards to reimancy.

Res can attract elements one is attuned with, allowing for greater casting potential for less production. The availability of the element can vary wildly depending on the location, it is wise for a reimancer to always know their surroundings before casting. The speed in which the reimancer can attack is also increased as the time spent on transmutation is taken from the equation entirely.

Res itself is a very flexible substance and can be exuded from anywhere on the body in virtually any form. Gaseous res possesses more stealthy uses and can be used to quickly incapacitate an enemy by transmuting the element from within the body. Liquid res allows for longer maintenance of control over the element by transmuting the substance in layers, mostly for projectile uses.

One must be careful with speedy casting as they run the severe risk of using too much res and ultimately overgiving. Knowing your limits is of paramount importance. In the event of combat one should always find a means of maintaining focus, either though incantations or glyphs if possible.

Elias's reflections allowed for better organization of the information he had discovered to be true over the course of his experience. It was certainly not every scrap of knowledge, but it was an outline that formed the whole of what reimancy was about.

Elias stood from his meditation and stretched slightly, his mind set upon the idea of what a reimancer was supposed to be and what reimancy could do. Reimancy was, at the end of the day, a tool like any sword or bow. It had its limitations and it had uses in certain situations, but it was always dangerous and often deadly when abused. It was just a tool though, a means to an end of what the reimancer wanted, whether it was creation or destruction. The limits were only set by one’s amount of djed and learning how to do more with what little one had was how the reimancer progressed. That was the true sign that the mage was learning, it was how one separated a true wizard from one those who merely dabbled.

The sorcerer brought his hands out before his, his chanting in the ancient tongue much more audible this time as he willed Res to exude in a liquid form from every inch of his body below the neck. The waves of euphoria slammed into hi,, visions of broken homes and corpses swimming in his brain. With some effort Elias pushed back the intense urge to exude more res and instead focused his liquid wrapping to detach itself from his body and move outwards. The wizard had rarely ever created so much res at one time, but it was needed for this exercise. The final force he could control.

The soldier willed the res far from his body, allowing it to crawl upon the ground until it was between him and the lapping waves of the bay. The large pool of translucent liquid shifted and moved as his will set it to begin heating up to unimaginably high temperatures. The essence of both fire and earth was placed into the outer layer and slowly molten liquid bubbled into existence. The heat was blazingly intense but Elias had ensured a good distance between him and the substance would exist.

Lava. Lava is earth and fire evolved, the ultimate force of devastation and destruction made manifest. It is the fury of Ivak, the emissary of ruin. Let the fool god know that I am it’s master, that I, Elias Caldera have taken his weapon from him as he took her away from me.

Elias curled his fingers upwards and moved his arms up with them, playing conductor to the lava as he willed it to shift upwards and flow to his direction. He gathered his remaining willpower and pushed outward with his hands, sending a wave of molten liquid speeding down the beach. The wizard transmuted the remaining res within it and watched the wave connect with the waters of the bay.

Hissing steam rose from the water and the lava bubbled violently as it was quickly cooled by the waves of the bay. Elias loved the amount of power lava possessed, truly it reflected his desires perfectly. Had any foes stood in the path of the attack they would have quickly found themselves in ruinous carnage. The ingenious thing about the nature of its use was that it could be formed under the feet of enemies and then sent out against others so long as he possessed control over the res within. It was the perfect weapon.

Elias wondered however if the lava could be further refined to reach higher temperatures and possess more fluid flow. He also wondered how that would be reflected in his res manipulation. This particular subject in fact was something he’d been working on as of late. His ability to shape res and puppet all of its many forms was something latent and easily done for most mages. Recently however, he’d been experimenting with new ways in which the djed could be wielded. He’s testing new methods in which could shrink his res to almost invisible sizes. So small that the human eye could not perceive and only aurstics had a chance, yet even then the magical imprint would be so miniscule it too would struggle to separate the magic from the heinous and all consuming background noise that was Mizahar’s natural djed.

As with most thoughts of magic these days, it revolved around his heated rivalry with his newest earthern element. As his final of the four, it was proving to be his bane. The thought had come about while trying to influence some natural stone formations. How was one to manipulate rock completely if one could not get his res within. Earth and dirt was simple enough, the res just needed to be a substance in which it could seep through the pours and cracks until djed and the dirt were as one, indistinguishable from the other. Stone, pure and solid, had no means of ingress and thus served only to frustrate Elias to no ends. It was enough to wrap and lift from the outside, but how was he to understand it -to completely know it- if he could not even open the proverbial front door to get in!?

Eventually his thoughts had drifted to the shrinking of his res until its tiny size was thus that even the seemingly impervious and impregnable stone was unable to deny him. From there however, the applications for such things had grown rapidly, and Elias had even used it to kill since. It was simple really, and beautiful in a way. Unfortunately, that beauty had also invited more than its fair share of troubles as well.

The reimancer realized very quickly on that the smaller his particles of res got, the harder they were to control. Being forced to use his auristics to even perceive it in the first place was one thing, but holding on to the ever dwindling tether that kept him and his res tied to one another grew insurmountably difficult the tinier his field of study grew. It was a game of balance and patience. He had to find a middle ground between imperceptibility and continued dominance. Once that sweet spot was found, and he move his res across a battlefield unnoticed, but also completely at his whim, then would be a simple matter of gathering it in secret before turning it to its destructive purpose. He knew from experience it only took a little to freeze a man’s heart from within. How much did it take to explode a lung? To incinerate a brain? All he needed was enough of specs of res to make it into an ear, up a nose, down a throat, and then his foe was as good as dead.

… of course, that didn’t really help with his rock problem… nor did it have anything to do with his lava conundrum either.

Elias grumbled something under his breath. This was the problem with letting yourself tumble down the rabbit hole of arcane speculation and possibilities. It usually led nowhere or just ended in absolute frustration. It was time to focus. He wasn’t quite done with what he’d set out to achieve this day.

Through the Fire and the Flame

A Few Bells Later…

The smell of the reeds filled his nose and the sounds of the gently lapping waves upon the shore filled his ears. There was a strange calmness about him that seemed both oddly peaceful and unsettling all at once. The chaos of his mind, normally allowed to work and think freely was settling down as Elias cycled his breath. Clarity had to be achieved before Elias began his casting, for once the mind was cleared of distractions reimancy became much more easily utilized. It would not be safe, but it would be easier to use.

Focus glyphs now adorned his hands and bare feet and pathway sigils ran highways down his limbs to aid in the speed of both res generation and casting. During his meditation, he’d begun to notice the touch of Fall in the air for the first time. Rhysol’s blessing spread whever lake Ravok spread, and as a result, the worst of the weather was often kept at bay by the great god’s grace. Most Ravokian’s didn’t really know what the cold was like Elias did. He’d spent time in the north, away from the comforts of the city, and a chill the likes of which could snap bones and rattle teeth right out of a man’s head. Here though, in place of his birth, feeling this hint of the weather that could be was soothing and calm, much like the majestic and tranquil sea before him. The waves fell in synch with his breathing and his mind grew quiet and calm with it. It was empty of all distractions, an infinite blackness that he likened to the Void. Yet today was not to be dedicated to the Void but to the natural elements of the world.

The young wizard opened his eyes from the meditation and uncrossed his legs, allowing himself to stretch his hands out to each individual leg. He reached as far as he could to the right, stopped and held it there for a chime. He then repeated the process with his left leg, feeling muscles and tendons stretch and hearing the small popping of his joins as they were allowed some activity. The body needed to be as well trained as the mind, an equilibrium that ensured the perfection of both.

The young wizard stood and stretched up as high as his arms could reach, joints once again making small popping sounds. It had become a routine to be repeated every single time before he casted, he liked to believe it was because it helped his reflexes. If something when wrong he wanted to be ready to jump out of the way of danger.

Elias finished his ministration and gazed out at the bay, admiring its simple beauty for a moment. Before, when arrogance had consumed every aspect of his being such things had escaped his notice. While he still possessed a cool and sure arrogance it was one that allowed his to notice and admire things other than himself.

Finally, now that he was ready, he started a low chant in the Ancient Tongue, holding his hands out before him. An invisible gaseous cloud of res formed from his hands and feet, and permeated from his body before quickly moving to cover a sizable portion of the air around him. The euphoric feeling of expelling res came over the mage but the combination of his incantations, the mediation, and the focus glyphs made them far less of a concern.

Elias willed the cloud of res to move forward suddenly and when it was near the edges of his zone of control. Well, that wasn’t technically true. At this point in his life, there was no true precipice from which his command would simply dissipate if passed. A trying and disheartening limitation, distance was something most reimancers had to deal with when still getting a grasp on the art, but Elias had surpassed that boundary a long time ago. Now his area of control extended as far as the eye could see, and with his auristics, even farther still. Unfortunately, and frustratingly, that did not mean his will was without limits. Sure, his res could reach the other side of lake Ravok if wanted it to, but it would be as useless as tits on a breastplate once it got there. What was he supposed to do with say, a ball of fire, when it was miles away and completely out of his line of sight? For all intents and purpose, his reimancy was as limited as it ever was, but Elias had made strides to try and amend that as best he could. The results he called ‘resonance’… or was it res-sensing? He couldn’t remember which one he’d decided on. Temporary names regardless, the point was that by feeling his res as it moved beyond what his senses could perceive, he would be able to, in a way, ‘see’ through his djed. It was a simple concept in truth. All he would simply do was use his res as one would a fumbling hand in the dark. By sensing how the res reacted to whatever it touched, he was able to tell certain things that could shed some light on things great distances away. For example, he could tell whether or not his power was passing over rough terrain or soft by the way it rolled over the stones and the dirt. Through the air and across water? Easy. Shapes too were invaluable. If his res reached a tree and passed around it, it could tell what it was. The same for rocks, plants, etc… Most importantly however, he could tell when his res had reached a person.

It wasn’t perfect. In fact, it was the furthest from perfect. Peculiar shapes and unfamiliar things could sometimes be as alien to him as the monsters that lurked in Nyka’s abyss. A horse drawn cart? Good luck trying to make heads or tails of that nonsense by vague shape alone. A weather vane? A dining table covered in food? A shelf full of nick knacks? God help him. Elias remembers once spending hours just trying to suss out what in the world his res had stumbled upon while experimenting with the technique in the safety of his home. As it turned out, it had been an old fountain. With his eyes closed and the rest of his senses shut off, he hadn’t even known his res had left the room, let alone made it as far as the front yard!

In any case, it was a useful if he could just manage to perfect somehow. Just one more endeavor to add to the ever expanding list, it seemed.

With a sigh and a wave of his hand, a vortex of wind formed in the air over the water where Elias had moved his bubble of res, the sudden an unnatural gale stirring the waters below into a frenzy. The feeling of casting sent a pleasurable shiver down his spine and already he was creating more res in a gas form, ready to try another large and higher tier spell.

Wind. The eternal tide. Swift and furious, it is both the gale of the storm and the breeze in the sail. Capable of greatness when harnessed and death with denied, air flows without form or care, whimsical and deadly to the end. It is power and freedom. An endless supply of potential for any mage clever enough to catch it.

His third element and perhaps his least practiced. Not because he lacked the skill to use it, but because he had already mastered its manipulation long before it had ever emerged within his arsenal. Like res, wind was without form or rules. It could be used in almost in way a master chose. Simular to fire, and close enough to water, the air was as much his plaything as any of the other elements. That said, its uses for Elias were limited at times. Sure, he could harness its power in a moments notice, but his swiftness with djed generation was such that he did not need to rely on natural ammunition lying around him in order to fire off a spell as quickly as possible. That, and the fact that he was warrior who rarely took prisoners, air’s non lethal habits often conflicted with his own bloody intent.

Often his attacks would be the result of explosive compression. He would take a bubble of wind, fold and press it into itself like as if he were holding it between his hands, and then, when there more give and only the imminent and powerful release, he would pinch a hole in the res and allow to explode outwards in a direction of his choosing instead of everywhere at once. The result was like being struck by a powerful fist, and the blast could be powerful enough to send men and horses flying through the air. It was a novel attack, but not really Elias’s style in the end. That said, it didn’t mean air didn’t play into his retinue at all. It was useful as hell when sailing, or suffocating a man, or blowing up a skirt or two. The potential was endless. Plus, the compression technique often played a complimentary role in other attacks.

Fireballs for instance. As an untested youth, he’s main recourse when using his second element was to simply bunch it all up in a ball and fling at something until it was ash. A pure sphere of flame when hurled at a target wasn’t exactly all that intimidating in the world of reimancy combat. When one shaped a core of air and res within the center of that fire however, and detonated it at the just the moment of impact, that fireball became a firebolt and its explosive yield -when properly guided into the target- could be truly devastating.

He was out here today, testing himself because he wanted to discover new and destructive techniques like that. Today was about pushing limits and expanding creativity, which meant large spells and Djed expenditure. He trusted himself to know his limits by now and to be able to remain into commanded. He controlled his magic, not the other way around.

Elias willed the res to follow his right hand's movements, pressing down the urge to cast as the chant filled his skull and dispelled any distractions. He was not the overconfident and arrogant fool he had been not so long ago, he was cool and collected, his face a mask of steely concentration. The Ravokian sent his arms moving in a spinning arc, looking rather like a windmill like motion. He very rarely ever employed chanting or ritual movements when using his magic. He found an embarrassing statement of his lack of skill whenever he did, but when it came to training, especially training away from prying eyes, it was a useful concession to make in light of his wounded pride. If he was going to truly test his limits, he needed to use every resource available.

The wizard jumped into a circling lead, nothing major but still a slight display of acrobatics helped along by his earlier stretching. As he moved his right arm down hard Elias willed the res to expel itself outwards in a circular manner. The amount he used was small for control purposes, larger amounts required greater concentration, but smaller ones were better for controlled experiments.

As it moved out from his, Elias willed the flames to come forth. They ignited quickly and suddenly, looking rather like they were carried out from his by the winds. It looked a little too flashy for his tastes, the flames might lick an opponent's skin or ignite their clothing but other than that it only looked good for possibly intimidation purposes. Elias was unsatisfied by the results to say the least, even as he felt the euphoria coming over him. For once the urge didn't need to tempt him into casting more, he was more than willing to press on.

Elias willed the res to condense near his hands, gritting his teeth as he expended more Djed in the effort of casting. The gas turned to liquid and formed a large ball of translucent liquid, more res being added as its phase changed. The master mage allowed further res to escape his hands as he attempted to make it roughly the same shape as he had before.

Soon a cone of flame had taken shape within his ethereal grip, backed by a considerable amount of compressed, gooey res all too eager to be sparked and unleashed.

It felt like drawing back a bow in many ways. The strain of desperate release, the anticipation, the power… it was time to fire.

Elias struck out with his hand, and in tandem the res ignited.

In an instant the Caldera’s vision was nothing but the red of seething flames. A massive gout of flame had erupted on the shore of Lake Ravok and the entire embankment he’d been training upon exploded outwards as fire consumed everything before him. Even with the res construct carefully placed far from his person, the burst had been staggering, nearly blinding him in the light and throwing him backward with the sheer force of it alone. The grass and the trees around him danced madly in the wind, and the shadows cast by the blistering radiance joined them. Elias’s clothes rippled in the wake of the flame, and his eyes watered fiercely just looking at it. Despite the heat, he did not relent.

The pillar of fire narrowed as the reimancer reasserted his control over the magic. Wide and fanning at first, soon the flames were brought under heel and pointed like the tip of an arrow. The result was a gargantuan geyser of red hot fury, burning a long and terrible trail across the lake. Elias just wished he could see it in all its glory, but his vision was so obscured by the fire it was all but impossible to even catch a glimpse. Even the roar was deafening, but even still, he could feel it! Feel the way its force pushed aside even the waters mere inches below. Feel the way the steam billowed up from the lake under the intense heat. Feel the way it devoured his res, hungry and relentless. The fire grew narrower and narrower still as Elias struggled to condense it further. It was practically a beam of light by time he noticed the first hints of blue taking shape.

At first he did not understand what he was looking at. He’d seen colored fire before, both by circus performers plying their trade and reimancer’s whose magic could oddly enough influence such things, but his flames had never before taken on such a hue. As he continued to extoll the fire outward however, tightening the leash and feeding ever more res into furnace, that blue tint started to expand. IT began at the base where the res was fed into the flame, but quickly surged outwards until consumed everything. The stryfer had hoped that by limiting the width of the fires he would lessen its damnable heat, but instead this new blue flame, even narrowed and condensed, was hotter than anything he’d ever produced before. The swelter became such that Elias could feel the hairs on his arms burned away. He had to abandon this folly lest he himself turn into more tinder for the fire.

With a cry, the pale sorcerer closed shut the valve of res flowing from his body. In turn the furious flames slowly but surely died out with a sputter over the lake. In its wake, tendrils of steam rose from the waterbed like a thousand wispy fingers aching to reach out for the fire once more. Elias breathed, realizing he’d been holding his breath the entire time.

That had been… that had been unique.

Perhaps it was best he try something else for the time being.

Elias chanted low again, drawing more res into his hands before ushering it out over the waters once more. Her blue eyes narrowed as he created yet another large ball of res, much like the one he had created before the pillar. This spell was going to be very unlike the previous one, but it was going to be just as devastating if he had any say in the matter.

First of all, he ensured that the ball of res was further out from his body than the other one had been and he began his chant more loudly than it had been before. He was trying to keep control of himself and his actions, overgiving so soon after recovering from it was not something he wanted to deal with. The distance was due to the intense heat he was going to be generating with this technique, if not carefully handled it could harm him just by close proximity.

The young wizard closed his eyes and imagined a force of destruction greater than that of fire, possessing the destructive qualities of both earth and flame. The res heated up to and extreme beyond the ability of more people to stand being near without blistering their skin. As the lava came into existence over the outer layer of res Elias could feel the intense heat from where he was standing. The heat coupled with exhaustion was straining him, as was the tax of the transmutation but still he held on for a moment longer.

The wizard opened his eyes and pushed the ball of fiery liquid outwards towards the water of the bay. At the last possible moment the wizard willed it to disperse into a shower of flaming liquid. Elias marveled at the amount of steam sent up from the water as the lava made contact with the water, a loud hissing sound audible for quiet some time.

The effectiveness of this attack was even more so than that of the ball of fire. Unlike the fire, which died out rather quickly, lava had staying power and was much more difficult to safely put out. If it hit a person it could easily eat through clothing, armor, skin, and bone. Lava was much more difficult to handle but was much more destructive, therefore in combat it would no doubt have its uses.

His head was throbbing and sweat poured from his scalp, once more his eyes were reddened from heavy spell use but he did not feel as though he had overgiven. Any more casting and he might have, but he felt he had stopped short of pushing his luck. No, what he merely the results of being so close to such unbridled power. He thanked his lucky stars he’d yet to be on the receiving end of such attacks before.

Elias's mind wandered slightly to his petty duels with other students back in Zeltiva during his time there as a member of the great university. Reimancy was not a toy, like he had once treated it to be not so long ago. It was a tool and a weapon, a means of achieving greater power much like the many other magics in his arsenal.

Even now that he was a soldier in the army and his time in classrooms was long over, everything was still very much a learning experience. He’d have to remember to do this more often. Growing stagnate and unchanging was a risk even he could fall victim too. It would do him good to remember that in the future… for now however, it was probably best to pack up and head home. He didn’t want to have to explain himself when people came looking for the source of all that commotion earlier.

Other Notes
Overgiving Consistency - Elias frequently experiences the minor overgiving symptom of Sweet Whispers, yet it never progresses beyond that point when he continues to cast magic and has "plenty of reserves" still available. Either the Sweet Whispers should begin later or a symptom of Moderate Overgiving needs to emerge.
