The Diamond of Kalea is located on Kalea's extreme west coast and called as such because its completely made of a crystalline substance called Skyglass. Home of the Alvina of the Stars, cultural mecca of knowledge seekers, and rife with Ethaefal, this remote city shimmers with its own unique light.

Continued from A whole new world

The world dissolved into a press of grabbing hands and pushing bodies as the mob pressed around the spiritist and the ghost. Jomi's small unimposing host was knocked aside, landing hard on his back while the faint cries of Amelie and Moritz grew more and more distant as the mob swept his Master and her children away. Jomi's soul moulded easily into his hurt and disorientated hosts muscles as his essence reasserted its new container. Starting in his chest and radiating outwards The ghost soulmist forced its way into his limbs as the exhausted mans body slowly began to stir. The ghost forced the young blonde man to raise his arms defensively as the mob stepped on the students prone body unthinkingly. The ghost reached inside the young mans soul, pulling at the threads of dijed that carved their way around the individual muscle fibres in his arms and isolating them. Jomi braced himself for the pain as he pulled up his own dead dijed from his soulcore and saturated his hosts astral body much like he would to preform the ghostly skill of projection and used it to activate the rivers of raw energy. A rush of horrible tearing pain lanced into the ghosts very being as Jomi pushed his new body up as hard as he could. Rolling onto his knees and up from the crouched position with strength unfitting for the tiny scholars body, reaching his borrowed arms forward to force the mob away from him. Having no senses in his new body Jomi couldn’t feel the exhaustion and strain from the overtaxed muscles or the stiff stinging digits that scrapped against the rough cobbles tearing the skin and turning them a soft, raw pink. All he cared about was getting back to his Master, the condition of the body was of no concern to him.

Jomi pushed his was through the mob cruelly, scanning the crowd for his Master and knocking aside the bodies that got in his way as his host faded in and out of consciousness. The ghost could feel his soulmist leeching away with every tick that passed as he forced his hosts body forward, his torn soulmist still seizing in painful aftershocks after the force of the Flux.

As he forced his way across the street the ghost heard a woman in front of him shriek, her arms raised defensively to shield her face against the grabbing hands. She was pushed aside roughly by the hoard of shouting bodies and bounced off Jomi's borrowed chest. Her auburn hair and plastered against her face as she spilled onto the ground in front of the ghost. A flash of shocking green eyes locked on his as she pushed away the wet matted hair.

The world seemed to grind to a halt. The raucous din of the swarming mob faded into oblivion and time slowed to an agonizing crawl as the womans haunting eyes swept over the possessed man.

Who do you serve?

"Edith?"

A raven haired man flew over the prone body of Jomi's bondmate. His pale gaunt face and thin pursed lips were pulled back in a snarl, and his coal black eyes filled with violence. Jomi, still reeling from the shock, stood gormlessly as the man pulled back his arm and sent it flying towards the possessed mans face.

And just like that the spell was broken. The world resumed in its chaos and while Jomi couldn't feel the sucker punch his host certainly did. The violent wake up call seemed to rouse the student back from auto pilot and he began to fight back in earnest. Meanwhile the black haired man scooped up Edith into his arms and sprinted for an opening in the mob.

A blinding, white hot, desperate rage tore through the wounded ghost. After years of searching across five cities and three regions having fought monsters and priests to find her. The only thing standing in the way of the ghost and the one person he returned from the dead to protect was a strange man who was spiriting her away in his arms. He had been close enough to touch her and now, watching her auburn hair spill over the shoulder of a stranger as he whisked her away felt like losing his precious bonded all over again. He would kill them all before he let Edith get away from him a second time.

Jomi's possession was waning. While the ghost was an experienced possessor his rage distracted him and made him sloppy. The students instincts for self preservation acted like a gag reflex, fighting hard to expel the foreign object and disentangling the soulmist from its astral body.

With one final heave the ghost clawed his way ferociously from his host, abandoning the possession and leaving the young man slack jawed and trembling in a growing circle of suspicious scholars. Jomi's soulmist collected before his stunned host and shimmered faintly in the light before blinking after the dark haired mans retreating back.

What better way to prove to his continued and unfailing loyalty and usefulness in death to his bonded than to destroy the man who would kidnap her so brazenly. He could push him under a wagon, shred his soul with a ghosts materialized soulmist or crush him under any of the heavy shipping pallets and paint the prism roads with his blood and visceral. He'd show Edith that he could protect her, she'd never have to be scared or alone ever again Jomi thought wistfully. His mists becoming more and more manic with every blink as his psych began to crack and show the lonely desperation beneath.

Jomi caught up to the pair as they fought their way through the mob, emerging victorious from the press of bodies. The ghost struggled to bring his soulmist back into the semblance of a human shape. The distant and frayed edges his dissipated shroud were gathered together and folded inwards, giving the ghost a sense of solidity as he reached to one of the grounds many decorative trees lining the edge of the square they had escaped. Jomi pulled up the latent power in his core and spread it out to the corners of his unrefined shroud, activating the mists in his hands as he reached for the hard black wood. The mist explored the base of one of the smaller branches, turning it sharply until it snapped off in his hands. Jomi's form convulsed in pain as he pushed his soulmist past its limits. A piece of the vital substance could be seen drifting off as he raised the heavy, bat like branch over his head a wide toothy smile split his face as he approached the pale dark haired man from behind.
