Personality: At first glance she's quite unremarkable. But behind a facade of a quiet, well behaved girl beats a fierce heart of passion and wonder that delights in daydreams. She isn't particularly clever, but makes up for it with creativity.

Housing: Tiny studio apartment at the Solar Winds without a balcony. It contains a bed, a wooden desk, a chest, hearth and a wash basin.

Heirloom: Grandmother's hand written common book of recipes - some ever so slightly faded, others definitely readable, even accompanied by rough little illustrations. It's a thick, weathered tome but greatly cherished by the young lass. Whatever else could be so personal? In the back of the book her grandmother had written her name, so did her mother after inheriting the book. Lily is still waiting to add her name once she feels she has earned the expertise to do so.

Lily’s story

Parents: LIly was born to Reilin and Theodre Maier. Albeit she never quite had the chance to know her father who passed away during her infancy. In early years she was enamoured with stories of the brave and noble Theo; the hero of her mother’s heart, the vanquisher of household dirt, artist with the needle and thread and mage in the kitchen - or so her mother would tell her.
Reilin Maier on the other hand was the polar opposite of her husband. She wasn’t native to Lhavit albeit when asked of her homeland she was ever so evasive with her answers. Exceptionally gifted in the magical arts, she found her peace in the skyglass city where she was able to pursue her interests freely. After Theo’s passing she abandoned her magical learning in order to provide for her family, taking over her husband’s bakery, before passing in late 511AV from complications due to an illness. She never shared much of her knowledge with her daughter but did opt to teach the young girl some basic swordsmanship, believing that every woman needs a way to defend herself. Had Relin lived longer she would have undoubtedly passed all the knowledge she had onto her beloved daughter. Sadly good memories and feminist values were all she had left behind.

Humble beginnings: Suffice to say Lily hadn’t always had it easy. Raised by her mother and paternal grandmother, she’d come to lose her entire family bit by bit and by the time her 16th birthday rolled around, she was alone. The grief stricken yet industrious girl found a way to survive by selling her family home and business (albeit not at the best of prices), buying a tiny apartment at the Solar Wind and finding a simple job as a cook to support herself.

Once a way to connect with her family, cooking had now become a means for her independence. Having learned sewing from her grandmother she turned it into an important artistic outlet and the many pin pricks and accidental burns over time taught her some basic first aid; and to take more care when handling hot pans.
