Tayl's History Tayl Layou was the smallest both while in her egg and when she was born. She was certain she was also the smallest member of the Charodae community which made her feel slightly different. From head to heel, Tayl was only four feet and eight inches long, and she only weighed eighty-seven pounds, which was next to nothing underwater. Where her family and most of the Charodae community are tall with either pure blue or grey skin, Tayl is the shortest with a dark shade of teal colored skin. Most Charodae women would talk about how cute she was and always wanted to do things with her, but when it came to her desire to explore, she would only be told of how dangerous it is to explore to far out in the ocean. Being so short, Tayl had a very unique dance style to the rest of her community, making her stand out even more. Where most would dance floating with the ocean, she would stand along the ocean floor and dance in a way completely her own. Tayl was not someone who enjoyed singing but even through conversations she is told she has a beautiful voice, but she can’t tell if they are being honest or just being nice to her. Along with collecting whole shells and pearls, Tayl enjoys drawing and writing in her free time. She rarely gets to draw or write however due to her friends always trying to drag into her into doing things with them. Where most Charodae would attend classes to learn various things for their future, Tayl would often skip a majority of the classes and just go out to explore and search for more shells and pearls. She has always wondered if there was a world outside of her own, but she had never been brave enough to try and explore outside of the ocean. She didn’t know if she would be able to survive with the savage people that live on land, nor did she think they had the same foods. Not to mention, her incredible fear of thunderstorms, she knew they were horrible underwater and she did not plan on getting even closer to them. Tayl had decided to make her own small home so she could get away from the family easier. This little home is only about four hundred square feet made from coral and has a couple window ports, a small table, a bed, a single chair, and a chest all made from the coral in the city. She found it easier to live freely when she managed to get away from her sisters and parents, and used this space to store her collections. It may be smaller than some of the other homes, but the fact she made it herself and it was only for her made it that much more precious to Tayl.
