31st Fall, 520
It was fairly early morning as Ari’Ellin made her way through the streets of Lhavit to Zintia, the central peak of the city. She knew that there was a large park on Zintia peak and though she’d stepped into the park from time to time, she’d never really had the chance to fully explore the park in all of it’s glory, by sunlight or moonlight.
She didn’t particularly trust herself to not get lost, and the idea of being lost at night wasn’t something that she particularly liked the thought of, and so she’d set off from her home just as the sun was rising and beginning to illuminate the city.
She’d packed her backpack with her book, quill, and ink, as well as her coat for when she would likely get cold later on in the day, and then she’d pulled on her boots, taking care to lace them up properly before heading out.
It wasn’t too long since she’d found her way onto Zintia peak, having crossed Shinyama peak on her way there, and now she was finding the right trail to get into the park.
“Koten temple...” she mumbled to herself, reading a few signs and nodding as she found the right way, the Temple getting more and more visible until the path veered left abruptly and she followed it, smiling as it lead into a forest and then opened out into a park that was decorated with warm hues of oranges, reds, and pinks. It was a beautiful sight to see, completely different from almost everything she’d seen before in her short life so far.
It was beautiful and she was glad that she’d planned to spend most of, if not all of her day, in the park so she could enjoy it more fully and explore it to see what the park hid within itself.
At first she just made her way along one of the paths, meandering slowly down it as she occasionally stopped to look at the plants and flowers that drew her attention. She wasn’t sure if they were poisonous, or had any medical benefits, or whether they had purely decorative purposes, but something about the colours and the unusual nature of the plants was captivating to Ari’Ellin.
“One day I’ll know what you all are!” she told the flowers and plants, confident in her abilities. She would be sure to ask Kita about all the flowers in the park, just to see what the older woman could teach her. One day she might even take one of the flowers into work with her, just to ask Kita if they could be used for anything. For now she was content with just enjoying the beauty of the park and the occasional float scent drifting over on the wind.
Humming happily to herself she continued on her way, passing another person occasionally and nodding her head to them as a silent greeting, not wanting to intrude on them and them having the same respect to avoid intruding on her as she enjoy the peace and quiet of the park.
