While Sylira is by far the most civilized region of Mizahar, countless surprises and encounters await the traveler in its rural wilderness. Called the Wildlands, Syliran's wilderness is comprised of gradual rolling hills in the south that become deep wilderness in the north. Ruins abound throughout the wildlands, and only the well-marked roads are safe.

A long trip... To start a longer trip.

Luke's journey was made hard by the freezing cold and snow. Making his way threw the Mirahil pass was nearly impossible due to the heavy snow fall.. Thankfully he was well prepared because of warnings from various shop keepers. Luke came across little danger besides the elements on his way threw the mountains.

When he finally cleared the mountains and reached Karbin road. His journey headed south towards Cyphrus. It was hard to explain why Luke had decided to go to such a wild country. Zelvita was no place for him that was for certain. A land loving man by heart he couldn't stand being trapped in the bay waiting for the Tsunami to return. Plus the chance of them coming back on the same boat was minimal.

Luke could understand why Kain told him to go make a life for himself. It was his way to set Luke free from a life he didn't want. He understood Luke couldn't handle the guilt that came with the job. Even though his methods were a little shaky Luke knew he meant well by it.

Once on the main road Luke allowed his mare to relax and take an easier pace. They stayed away from the main road but still had it within range to keep on course. Luke knew all to well that bandits would come down on them at some point. Luke couldn't be too sure he would win that fight if there were more than 2 or 3. Better safe then sorry.

The only times he allowed himself to go onto the path were at cabins set up for travelers. Kain had told him about these things. They were built by the Sylirus knights and relied on anyone using them to keep the cabins well stocked. Until now he had always traveled with his gang and never needed one.

Now that winter had settled in and the cold was beginning to bite hard. He was glad they never terrorized unsuspecting travelers in these safe havens or he would of feel a little guilty for using them. After he rested and used some fire wood. He took the time to gather some more. Since he didn't have any way of chopping down larger pieces with an ax. He settled for gathering any drift wood he could find.

Setting out again it took quite some time to finally reach the sea of grass. For a while there it seemed endless. Just a constant sight of bronze colored trees. When he got to the border of Cyphrus all the tales he had been told about how unforgivable the land was started to mess with him. He hoped at least he wouldn't have to face a Glassbeak.

Luke came well prepared from Zelvita. His food and water supplies were manageable and he could hunt whatever else he could find too eat. Things were looking good and he tried to stay optimistic despite his nagging sense of fear. If he didn't find Kain and the rest of them Cyphrus he would be furious. This was a lot of risk and danger to not get something out of it.
