To say that Xylia knew very little of the world she lived in would be a gross understatement. She had seen almost nothing of the world she lived in, and knew even less than that. Only a year old and nearly full-grown by wolven standards, her life had already been filled with useless trauma that left her feeling more alone and lost than she should have. Yet as with all coins, there were always two sides. Xylia was vulnerable in her lack of knowledge and her longing to be connected to someone again as the loss of her siblings had left a large hole in her soul. But on the surface, she was cold, stubborn, fiesty and temperamental.

After passing the strange golem on the harbor, Xylia had walked past and off the docks before stopping and standing to the side so anyone behind her could pass. Slowly her calm grey eyes turned from the left to the right, taking in the landscape that was so alien to her. Lifting her nose slightly she sniffed the air to lock all the scents away in her memory, and looking for any scent that would speak of danger or trouble. Although she initially reacted as her true predatory nature dictated, Xylia did not have enough knowledge of her world to really understand danger in all its truest forms.

Finally she determined that the single road leading into the island would lead her to her destination. Her grey eyes still scanning the area she took her first step forward, letting go of the life behind her and embracing the life before her. Already she could see that the life ahead of her would not reek with glory or fame, or even wealth, yet she sought none of these things. Xylia was practical, preferring to hide in the shadows and watch over being watched in the light. So with a deep sigh she continued forward on her journey, the scents and sounds of the island slowly coming together to lock into her memories.

The road took her deeper into the island as the smell of sulfer on the air became more prominent. In the distance she could hear strange noises as above her dark clouds poured into the sky from one of the mountains. She had no knowledge of volcanoes and so simply referred to them as mountains of dark cloud in her mind. Before long though the young girl came upon a huge wall that absolutely dwarfed her. Walking through the outer wall she continued on toward the large stone walls and almost castle-like appearance of the building built into the dark mountains. Stopping for a moment she pulled out a hair band and pulled her dark hair out of her face. Then with no expression on her face she continued forward toward the citadel, figuring she'd better look into lodging before she did anything else.

I Unapologize For This Crazy Dream (Vick)

Time, time meant nothing to a race such as the Nuit and more so if they lived almost all there life on Sahova. Sahova was a magical research island yet nothing ever did change enough to keep track of the time unless you paid mind to such things.

Vick use to pay mind to the cycle of days or at least he did his best for the most part. However when stuck inside a windowless room for what feels like forever one tends to forget the passage of time slowly. His memory was still skilled as ever for the Nuit race had such keen memory overall but he just had let go of the sense of time and the point of keeping track of it for the most part.

His body was the only thing that did change yet even then it was only every few years when he had to change his body. His body that he was using now was the same type that he had always picked. It was the body of a child; bright red hair was the only thing that stood out about him other than his Nuit traits from his black tongue, black circles under his eyes and even how the flesh molded along his body that reeked of death from the view point. A normal Nuit other than his bright red hair which told him that the race was an Inarta yet he did not question how the island got a hold of the body for he never did ask.

His clothing was just a pair of dark brown pants, a white cotton shirt with a pair of shoes that were the same shade of brown like his pants. One could call them peasant style clothing or the poor man’s type. However Vick paid no mind to that for the island did not care of terms like that for they only did care for research. There was one item that stood out along his body which was a necklace. This necklace could have been a normal necklace due to along the copper chain even if it was more of a dark green then normal copper tone due to the age but what stood out the most was the human hand along the center where a pendent would have gone.

The hand along the necklace was griped as if holding along the necklace as a dying wish however Vick knew more then what it truly was. While non wizards would have seen it as an inhuman act wizards would have seen it for a magical object. It was a magical object however it was from the Malediction magical family tree which could have been good or bad depending on the outlook for Malediction in the end were cursed in some ways.
Vick may have looked like a child but one could never judge a Nuit by the body they used. He could have used any bodies from a young male to a old female be it human or even a Zith if he really wanted to however he always had a choice and always did pick the form of a child.

He was over 200 years old but when he first became a Nuit he was only 8 years old. The woman who made him into a Nuit picked the form of a child that lived in the same area as he did so he would not feel uneasy about the transformation. However it was due to that he kept going with children over and over whenever he had to use a new body. Some Nuits had traits they always had such as feathers and makeup, some went with wearing types of jewelry always and so Vick went with always using a child’s body if he could.

Vick was always inside either his living quarters or inside his laboratory researching. He was always researching and reading finding or at least trying to find new ways to use his magic. Was he trying to make the world a better place? One could say he was however others would say he was a monster in more ways than one.

However this day upon all days Vick was neither in his living quarters or inside his laboratory dealing with research of the unknown. He was walking along the many hallways inside the Citadel looking about and around like a curious child looking at a new home for the first time. However his eyes were dead of any real emotion along with the fact they never did blink anymore or even his chest never did move unless he wanted to smell something with his senses and not using magic for even he knew a magic that could replace the bodies senses.

Vick found himself inside the Vestibule, the only way inside and outside of the Citadel but Vick was not shocked of the Vestibule or the TAR which stood for Temporal Aura Recognition which in human terms it meant that it read each aura and logged it for reverence from everyone coming and going. It had replaced Drainira more or less to what Vick recalled as he did as the TAR told him to before he left the large room and at last his eyes saw daylight once more in such a long time as he came along the only path that led from the building to the docks.

However as he walked down the path he found a woman who clearly he did not know. She was taller than he was standing around 5’5 in his eyes. She had fair skin with blonde hair that was push back into what looked like a ponytail. She looked like she came with the shipment of cargo from the mainland as he thought and just stopped in his own tracks watching her with unblinking child like eyes.

At first Vick did not say a word like he always had a habit of watching before talking which was a habit he formed over time on the island of Sahova. Yet as she came closer to him he would then talk at last.

“What brings a human here? Do you have a Master or are you just a mix up little girl that came with the ships?” His voice was that of a child’s voice that matched his body but his eyes held a dead light to them as he did not take them off her own hazel eyes. How he hated humans or anything that looked like a human. Yet he did not attack or show any signs of attacking for what could a simple child do?
