[OOC] Zeltiva's OOC Thread

Sorry for a long absence. Life has been throwing monkey wrenches into most of what I am doing. Currently dealing with a very bad sinus infection, bummed out children, and an overheated wife. The latter due to medication to stifle cancer cells, the former because we were supposed to be camping this weekend and I'm sick. At least my daughter understands that if I was to go to the mountains in my condition, my head would explode.

Anyway my character is going to be in Zeltiva and it's outskirts for a time, since it's the only place he knows so I hope I'll be able to rp with you all soon.

I think I'm gonna move Syfec over here. Try to spice things up a bit again .

I'm just not too sure where to start. Syfec is an ambitious wizard/scholar, so I figured he would sign up for some classes maybe, but I don't know what else. I know that a long term goal is to try to get into that archive building of course! That looks really interesting!

So yeah, if you have any ideas or something, let me know. I'm gonna post at the registrar in a little bit. Tonight/Morning.

Hullo, Zeltiva!

Fat, recently impoverished mage at your service. I have a few ideas for things I would like Sabellius to do, though I fear many of them would be best suited to Personal Storytelling, Guest Storytelling, or just plain Storytelling. If you see anything your character would like to get involved with, though, let me know. Also, I'd love to try my hand at Guest Storytelling, so if you have any ideas where I could turn my hand to it, that'd be great.

So, without further ado, some ideas:

Sabellius trying to kind some kind of employment at the university as a Glypher. Including a gruelling interview, with lots of demonstrations, and quite possibly being rejected.

Sabellius thinking that sailors are idiots, and trying to get them to pay for glyphs on their ships, which will ultimately have no effect.

Sabellius struggling to buy clothes, quite possibly in a rather demeaning way (perhaps he ends up having to buy a roll of cloth to wrap around himself?)

Sabellius trying to sell his Glyphing services to other mages.

Sabellius negotiating poorly with a Diverse.

Other stuff I can't think of right now.

Now I realise quite a lot of this is fairly mundane, they're more for the purposes of character development than anything else (the top admittedly has aspects of practice and money in it). I'd also be happy to have short threads where our characters just bump into each other (in the street, having to share a table in an inn), and we do some character development together. If you're desperate for experience, we could demonstrate some of our skills, or even teach them to each other. I would not be averse to that.

Let me know if you have any other ideas.

Oh, dear! I wish I was here in the Winter. I would very much love to learn Glyphing from you in exchange for Morphing. However I'm not around this season in this area. Nice ideas though!
