Hunting(Maakasu)

Postby anima on March 10th, 2011, 4:51 am

Entering the Icewall Gates, Anima searches the area, taking in the vivid scenery and lush evergreen trees in the distance. The snow carpeted the ground and the buildings and even small, weak grasses that grew here and there in tufts and patches. Signs of the earth's barren state, but also of it's enduring flora. The snow gave the perception of the sky gently weeping, and as Anima studied the blanket of white embracing the earth, he thought of the sky hugging the land. the area.
He slowly scourers the encompassing area with his eyes and his nose, fearful of an attack from any direction. Knowing that the city was populated and presumably a place of refuge and refreshment gave him no comfort and was not compelling him in any way to lower his guard, because, after all, it was his edginess and over cautious ways that kept him alive, that kept him breathing, and it was thanks to those and those alone that he existed in his current state today.
Not long after raking the area with his senses he detects his ally, a friend of age and of trust. He signals Maakasu with his eyes, something they always seemed to be doing, a symbol of their kinship and their pact of brotherhood and also a sign of their trust. Without a word they both begin moving, walking synonymously to wherever they might end up, but reassured that at least they wouldn't be alone for the moment.

The two walk at a quick pace, scanning the area for any threats or potential meals. Maakasu sees no threats. Unfortunately, he sees no meals either. They continue their search for food to a small hill, which the two begin to climb. At the top, Maakasu starts talking to Anima.
"Do you see any meals?"
He paces back and forth to satisfy his boredom as he waits for the reply of his friend, looking up every now and again to look around, childishly thinking that a meal would appear the next time he looks up.

Anima slowly looks about the landscape, taking in the view from the hill as quickly as he could, but taking in to account every single little detail he could find. the scenery was more stunning that he could have imagined from the elevated view and though he tried, he could not really enjoy the beautiful view with his thoughts on food, and even the plausibility of an attack. He hadn't eaten in about a week and a half and in his wolf form, his ribs were clearly visible.
He gave a slight nod to Maakasu and then moved off towards the outer city wall, keeping a sharp eye over his shoulder to make sure Maakasu stayed with him. He walked on and on, past little houses, parlors and the occasional ammunitions shop. They finally reached the wall, and though they could have left from any of the littler gate the city, Anima felt unsure and very weary of the constant glare of the guardsmen. The shear solidity and regiment of their duty disturbed his survival instinct and disrupted his thoughts. He wanted to leave unnoticed.
He began scaling the wall and on the other side, he once again scoured the area, while waiting for his friend to dismount, and even after they both began walking into the lush forest, which would provide them with their mean, he was still on edge. Nothing ever went this smoothly.

Maakasu follows his friend into the forest, scanning the area for any threats at all, looking side to side. The blanket of snow acting as weights on his feet, his hunger making his body heavy. Maakasu is a strong being, but this was different. His sight and hearing hindered by the roaring winds, it becomes frustrating. He looks around occasionally to make sure his friend is with him. Each step brought him closer to fainting, but he knew he had to be strong, because he was with someone, because he does not like embarrassment, so he presses on. Thinking he sees a deer, he rushes it and lounges at it, finding out that it is only a log. His eyes cannot be trusted in this weather. As he continues the walk, he mutters to himself,
"Can anything even live out here?"
He stops to look at his friend, Anima, giving him a very confused look. He turns, looking around and turns back to his friend,
"Do ya think we'll find food soon, man?"
He stands by, looking around for any movements.

"Hopefully, I can't guarantee anything though."
Anima walks on, his head pounding, his vision blurred and his feet dragging along like 4 ton balls of lead. He hurt everywhere and the cold did nothing to help. He needed food, and he needed it fast, and he knew that Maakasu felt the same way. As he trudged, no idea what he was doing or where he was headed he thought. He thought and thought and thought of possible food sources and how he could get food into his stomach quickest.
He spotted a deer in the distance, and he knew that Maakasu did as well, because he became rigid and predatory as soon as he met eyes with Anima. they both got low to the ground and edged slowly, confidently to their prey. They were downwind, luckily, so they had a slight advantage. And it seemed that the cold had taken a large toll on the unsuspecting buck. As they inched on a slow rustling sound came from one of the nearby bushes, and both Maakasu and Anima locked eyes in cold, seething anticipation. they could both tell that another hunter was hunting. And that the deer mightn't be the only thing on it's/their menu.
The doe looked up lazily as the rustle reached it's ears. Its eyes were dreamy and hazy and it looked like it was half awake, but as it heard the rustling sound slowly grow it began to notice what kind of situation it was in.
It quickly jumped up and tightened it's muscles, ready to sprint off at any sign of danger. And as it looked like its tension had reached its summit. A large glassbeak bounded out of the nearby bushes from behind a clump of trees and greedily snapped at the deer's neck. it was soon joined by another ravenous beast and very soon a third, fourth and fifth joined the fray, greedily scraping and devouring the flesh of the deer in beastly hunger.

Hunting(Maakasu)

Postby Maakasu on March 10th, 2011, 6:19 am

Maakasu stays low to the floor, looking at the birds ripping the deer apart, greedily, ravenously. The hunger had tapped into a rage in Maakasu, looking at them stealing his meal... His awaited morsel. His savior. The rage made him uncontrollable. It made him wild. It made him something that he had never been before. He felt like killing them. Killing them all, breaking their necks one by one. His limbs trembled not of cold but of rage. It took him every fiber in his body pulling in one direction to keep him from lounging at them. He let out a low growl that was carried back to the direction of Avanthal by the cruel winds.
He clutches the snow, biting his lip, clenching his jaw. His pale skin glowed with incandescent rage. He did not feel cold, his extremities sting no more. He only felt this urge to kill. He looks at his friend and is sure he feels the same way, but knowing Anima, he would soon do something that he will regret. He calms down, not for his own sake, but for his friend.
"Anima don't do anything stupid"

Moderator Intervention

Anima, I posted in your CS a large post about your character sheet. Your character in it's current state is not eligible for RP; there are simply too many things completely out of whack that do not belong in Mizahar. You'll need to reply to my message via PM before you can begin RP on this website.

Until then, do not reply or RP any further in this thread.
