A Test of Wit [Vizyous]

13th day of Spring, AV 511

Rovan was in a cherry mood. He had had a good chat with the innkeeper of the Rearing Stallion in the morning, able to fling out many smart remarks that impressed both the owner of the inn and the early customers. When he had left for a stroll, his head was full of many inspirational thoughts. Whether it was the wine or the so-far good outcome of the day, he felt more lively and experimental than usual.

It was afternoon as he walked the tunneling streets of Syliras, his mind set on reaching the Great Bazaar for browsing. That was when he spotted a white-haired figure amongst the mass of people on the street. After squinting his eyes and focusing his sight more on the person, he believed it to be someone he recognised, though he could not be certain as the man had his back to him. Given his heightened spirits this day, he decided to approach him rather than stay focused on his first intent and ignore the presence of a possibly total stranger - which usually prooved to be the safer choice.

A Test of Wit [Vizyous]

His mind was elsewhere as he walked within the tunnels of Stormhold Castle, thinking of things far more interesting than Syliras. Where was a fortune teller when he needed one, Vizyous kept asking to himself, feeling a bit anxious about his future. The Symenestra's life had been a bit uneventful since arriving in Sylira, and while that gave him plenty of time to catch his breath from the excitement of the Winter, it didn't give him much to work towards.

And work was inevitable, he quickly realized, hand idly twitching as if it could feel the small amount of coins he had to his name. It was in this bothered, idle state that Vizyous felt something itch at his senses, and that small itch made him quickly glance around. It revealed nothing, and the Symenestra shrugged.

Well, he must have imagined it.

A Test of Wit [Vizyous]

"Well, well! If it isen't you."
Rovan had approached the Symnestra from behind, confirmed in his beliefs when Vizyous turned to face him.

He had not expected to find this individual so coincidentially in a city as large as this, but given his mood today, he was pleasantly surprised - considering that it was one of the lethal spiderfolk. As such he still kept a safe distance of at least 3-4 feet from Vizyous.

"What might bring you out on the streets today, my friend?" he said. He spoke rather rashly, his sensible part told him. He was somewhat aware of his own light-mooded state, but nonetheless he felt like experimenting with a slightly altered attitude this day.

A Test of Wit [Vizyous]

The greeting surprised Vizyous, his mind almost registering it as just another voice in the crowd that was busy talking to another person. However the tone of it seemed interesting enough to make the Symenestra glance around, his eyes catching sight of someone behind him.

Once Vizyous' eyes locked with the man, he instantly recognized him as a previous acquaintance, however he couldn't exactly remember from where from. Certainly it was recent, for as noticeable as Vizyous was, there must be other Symenestra around Syliras.

The distance between them went unnoticed, the Symenestra's attention more focused on the man's features, words, and body language. It was a once over of examination however it was masked by a look of pleasant surprise. "Well this is a surprise isn't it! In a city as large as this," Vizyous gestured to their surroundings, then brought his lanky arms back to his side, "it seems that fate has brought us together once again."

Human, dark hair, well dressed... the description began to latch onto some recent memory but with as many people as he'd encountered and seen, it was going to take a bit more for him to remember. "I was just stretching my legs a bit, actually." Idly, he shifted from one foot to the other, "I've been in my room for most of the day. And you?"

It was a general response that would hopefully provoke a more lengthy response from the strange man in front of him. In what scenario did he meet a man like this? His type to talk to was usually those that got their hands dirty in whatever work they did, not the type to avoid that. This looked to be strictly someone that stayed within the walls of Syliras... Hmm...

A Test of Wit [Vizyous]

"I have been tending to some matters of a practical nature," he said admittingly, "It seems this day is full of little trivialities that needs sorting."
Vizyous had seemed very surprised with Rovan's approach. He found it understandably, as he thought he himself would have reacted much in the same manner.
Rovan gazed along the rows of people moving by. It was not the most optimal of places to stop, as everyone seemed to be on the move here. He could feel up to several eyes looking at them queerly and exchanging glances as they walked by them.

Rovan gestured forward, "Shall we take a walk? Using the feet often stimulates the tongue."
