50th of Spring AV 511

Gwen had called an official meeting of the Sunberth Vigilante's Guild. Without an official residence, they usually met in an upper room of one of the local taverns which they would rent for the duration of their meetings. Up until this point, the guild had done little to actually change anything in Sunberth, but all that was about to change. This would be their first open confrontation with any of Sunberth's gangs, and it needed to be well planned. They had received word from one of the local inns that one of the smaller gangs had been threatening them in for repayment of a loan. The inn keeper obviously didn't have the kind of money they were asking for, and they had given him a deadline of dusk on the fiftieth. Seeing as that was only a few hours away, Gwen and the rest of the guild would have to quick in their decision on whether or not to act.

To Gwen, the decision was obvious. This was exactly why he had founded the guild, but since this was the largest battle they had would be involved in to date, he figured it was best to consult the rest of the members. Arriving first, Gwen headed directly to the upstairs room. Once he was there, he pulled the two tables in the room together and surrounded them with chairs. Just as the first members were arriving, he was taking his seat. Gwen greeted them with a simple smile and nod, waiting for everyone to arrive before explaining why he had called them all here today.

Cid nodded a greeting and smiled to Gwen. "Good to see you." As Gwen took his seat, Cid decided to sit opposite of him, closer to the door. He wanted to be able to see everyone, and if someone barged inside during their meeting, Cid would be the first to act.

He wasn't sure why Gwen had called the guild together today, so he would wait while everyone else arrived, which didn't take long. Nearly everybody else arrived shortly after himself. Cid sat with his chair slightly pushed out, and his hand resting on his longsword just to be safe.

Cid was really hoping for a fihgt. Maybe Gwen heard about something that the Vigilantes could do as a whole. He really wanted a big battle. Cid rarely got to fight more than one enemy and he was worried he could fall out of practice.

Zayvr walked in whistling, his pack and Hai slung over his shoulder. He nodded and smiled to Gwen, finding himself a place on one side of the table. Sitting down, he leaned back propping his feet on the table. Putting down his pack underneath the table, and pulling Hai into his lap. He started to pluck at the lute strings humming a simply random tune.

Smiling and nodding to each person as they came in.

Canali, surprisingly, was carrying a tray when she came in. How cheeks were flushed as she set it down upon the table. Simple cookies, but an old recipe she learned from one of the elderly chefs at the orphanage. Taking a seat herself, Canali took a cookie and nibbled upon it. Below, in the tavern, the chef had allowed her the use of the kitchen for awhile, in return for cookies.

It practically melted in her mouth, the effect she was searching for. Flavoring the tastebuds with... Almost peanut butter and a crumbling fudge taste. Strange mixture, but absolutely delicious mixed with a hint of cinnamon. Next time she would definitely add a little more sugar.

She sat quietly as others came in; unsure of whether or not she was even supposed to be at the meeting. She didn't fight, she cooked. Oh well.

Khasuri

A meeting was quite the change in dynamics for this group, a change in the monotony of nothingness. Sure they had done small strikes on occasion, but the grandiose schemes that had reminded Suri so strongly of his home had seemingly been forgotten. But a meeting, now that was interesting. A gathering which quite possibly would actually be worth the time of Khasuri Re Hafban. Maybe, just maybe, something would actually come of this. If so, joining this so called vigilante group might not have been such an abominable waste of time.

As he walked into the tavern he looked around the room for any likely trouble makers, and when he found no one in particular (although everyone in the room had potential), he continued up a flight of stairs into the buildings upper rooms. He took one of the doors, and entered into the meeting room of the vigilante's. Nodding to his fellow men (and woman) as he entered, Suri took a seat at the table.

Voxxus placed his hand on the door knob thinking, ‘Is this really what I want to do?’ Finally he brought himself to turn the knob, as quietly as possible. The door ajar, he slipped in and leaned his spear against the closest corner from the door, sitting in the chair furthest from the sight of Canila. He looked at everyone’s gaze unsure of their take on his presence, but returning the appropriate look. Not sure what to expect, he continued to remain silent used his tool of listening to his advantage. The whole idea of him being in the silly group was starting to wear on him. He was a pirate after all, but still his moral debates with himself indeed placated his presence.

It was certainly an uphill battle that the group had set for themselves. Sunberth took unkindly to anything resembling organization or order. Even the gangs themselves were more cults of personality than anything more formal than that. The fact that the innkeeper was willing to have any truck with them was indicative of his level of desperation.

At any rate, though the noise of the tavern could be heard below, the room was quiet enough. It was a matter of what they would decide to do next.
