Nil'kayn General Information Full Name: Nil'kayn(Kayn=Light, Nil=Dark) Aliases and Titles: Meatbag, Savage, Idiot Nickname: Kayn, Nil Race: Akalak Gender: Male Sexuality: Heterosexual Marital Status: Single Date of Birth: 51st of Summer, 480 AV Age: 31 Place of Birth: Riverfall Place of Residence: Riverfall Occupation: Mercenary, Adventurer, and Hunter Sigil: N/A Physical Appearance Nil'kayn stands fully grown at 7’4, and weighs in at around 310 lb, and has an athletic, heavily toned, muscular body, but compared to many of his race he looked skinny. His physique is comparable to overgrown Myrian with only slightly more bulk. His skin is a very deep green, quite often mistaken for black. He has quite a few scars covering his body from training and a few battles, but nothing to profound. His face has a wolfish way about it, with a tilted smile, his eyes are a piercing green, that when you look into them you feel as if you are looking into a polished gem, with a very deep centre. He has three piercings in each earlobe, all of them are small metal hoops. He has midnight colored hair that has grown wild into a large mane that covers most of his back, but usually he tries to control it by putting it into a large and long braid. If one was to smell Nil'kayn it would depend of the situation, but he generally has a very thick musk that covers him some people do not even notice it others love the smell, but if one was to pay attention to there nose they would smell an animalistic like musk. Nil'kayn has a deep voice. His voice will lower the more serious it is until it is a rumbling sound when quite, and when load a huge booming sound. If he is light hearted it could be considered light and higher pitched but still manly. Personality Kayn Kayn holds a deep scorn at all types of authority, though he tries to hide it, but no matter what he will do what he deems right for himself and his friends first, then others. Kayn is witty an loves to show it and will make snide, witty, sarcastic, or funny comments depending on his mood, but usually its very light hearted, and can tend to be cocky, though he doesn't believe his own boasts. Kayn puts on the mask of immaturity and light-heartedness, but he is actually very deep, profound, and extremely intelligent. Kayn to be an optimist, but that will not stop him from saying the facts. Kayn is a hopeless romantic, loving the whole idea of courtship, adventure, and intrigue. All he wants to do is learn, go adventuring, find love, and generally have fun; and he is motivated by his wish to find these. Kayn has his own sense of honor, he rarely take vows or oaths, or other such things, but when he does do it, he is are careful with the wordings. Even so no-one can take his vows out of context or try to use it against them, as Kayn of them believe in the spirit of truth, meaning that it was there meaning behind the vow that is truth not the words. Kayn doesn't have iron clad beliefs, he just trusts himself to judge a situation and act accordingly to how Kayn feels, but he has a opinion on most things Kayn is secretly deadly afraid of spiders, and similar creatures, he is also afraid of raising a gods ire upon himself. Some people consider Kayn to be naive, and in a sense he is, but in another sense he isn't, if one was to look deeper it is a fact that Kayn is driven by his morals, this causes some naivety, which he is loosing bit by bit. Nil Nil has deep seated respect for those in authority, as he sees that they have taken that power for themselves, but he has a deep seated scorn of those born into authority. Even though he belives this he keeps on a mask of scorn, sarcasm, and cynicism. Nil can appreciate wit, and he himself has a sharp one, that he uses to make snide, sarcastic, cynical, and scorn driven comments. Nil is a very deep, and philosophical view on the world, and being a pessimist he is very cynical and tends to scorn everyone and everything, though that does not mean he cannot appreciet a good idea or good person, when he sees it, he just needs lots of proof. Nil puts on an air of aloofness, and know-it-all, but he can be quite petty and childish at times, but he is still very intelligent, perceptive, and sometimes wise. Nil can be offended or angered very easily, and he can have what some would call a “black rage”, where he will does not say much, but you are able to tell he is angered. Nil being a pessimist, will say the facts and has quite a cynical view of everything. Nil thinks that Kayn’s hope of love, and adventure is stupid and will get them both killed, but he does like the fact that Kayn wishes to learn as he does as well. Nil can be typically unmotivated, lazy, and prone to depression, though that doesn’t stop his incessant commentary. Nil agrees with Kayns view of honour though he feels that it is an idealistic view of the world and things it is foolish to feel that way, so he feels it is his responsibility to look out for his brother. He feels good that Kayn has started to harden seeing the truth of the outside world. Both Kayn is the usual one in charge of the body, but when Nil feels motivated enough he will be able to wrestle control of there body, but generally Kayn stays in control with a constant chatter of thoughts from Nil. Nil sees Kayn as an Idealist and as a foolish little brother that he must always chastise and criticizes, and Kayn sees Nil as a pessimistic miserable person that is always trying to get people down. They both really to feel like brothers towards each other though the bicker all the time. Religion Kayn and Nil tend to pray to each god in turn, and when needed, or when they enter there territory. Ethics and Morals: Kayn is a moral person following his own code of honor that most times, he creates as he goes depending on the situation and how he judges it. But if one was to stay long enough with Nil'kayn one would eventually see a pattern within his decisions. Nil on the other hand is an ethical person, he knows what is good and right. But chooses to do what is best for him and his brother, seeing Kayn's ideas idealistc, for Nil is very cynical. On his travels he came open a female wolf kelvic which bonded to him named Nilara. They became lovers, and together they adventured, until one day Nilara fell pregnant. Kain then started a long trek back to Riverfall. But on the way to Riverfall, Nilara gave birth, and died in the process. The boy then named Nil'kayn, was taken by the sorrowful father to Riverfall where, he raised the boy. Kain taught the boy much, mathematics, how to read and write, how to fight, hunt, etc. Kayn loved his father and adored him. The boy Kayn resembled his father almost completely as he grew, in body and spirit. At Kayn's Right of Trail it seemed to unfold normally (at first), with him gathering with his friends and hunting the glassbeaks. Kayn's group decided to go for a particularly difficult one. They defeated it and where on there way home from bringing the body home, when a group of Zith hunters attacked them. Kain had heard about the group from some scouts, and had rode out to make sure hs son and his friends where ok. He came upon them as they tried to fight the Zith off. Kain sacrificed himself to save the group of boys; Kayn was devastated and at this moment his second soul emerged. He returned to Riverfall in grief, not going to any feast of any kind, just staying in mourning. After the Trial he proclaimed his wish to be a warrior and adventurer like his father, so he spend most of his time up to his right of Manhood in training. On his Right of Manhood, he avenged his father hunting down and killing a Zith. As soon as he had finished his right of manhood he left Riverfall, going in search of adventure. ... He continued his journey to Syliras there he met many such as Hadrian the young mage, or Ever the hostess. He stayed there for a few days before heading to Zeltiva. On his way to Zeltiva...
