I just got made DS of Kalinor!

I have great plans for the city. I'm going to add new locations, write up festivals, develop the language of the Symenestra, work on (limited) trade routes etc.

And as soon as there are two or three PCs in the city in the current season, I'm going to post a quest!

If you have any suggestions and/or really would like a certain location added or want me to mod a thread, let me know!

By the way, you should regularly check Kalinor 101.

I'm always adding new questions to it and adressing common misconceptions (such as Symenestra supposedly being avid blood drinkers and cannibals).

Hey, I’m new to this site and my character is going to start off here (If that's okay), I’ve been reading up on what I need to know for the past two days now. I read it is best for newbs like myself to start off at the 'city gates', is it ok if I do that here or would he just scale the wall? I am still working on my character, I plan to make him have a bit of memory loss concerning his past so that I can make it more intricate later on when I know the ‘lingo’ and all. =P He’s Symenestra by the way. I’m not new to role-playing, but this sort of site is different than what I’m used to! It will take me some time to learn all this but I’m already fascinated by all the details, it's all outstanding! I can't wait to start writing!!

Welcome to Kalinor, Erasmus!

It's great that you have decided to start here!

If your character lives in Kalinor, you don't need to post at the gates.

You could introduce him to Mizahar by posting his house for example or making a thread where he wanders the city so that other characters can talk to him. You could also post in one of the location threads and ask for a job - or ask one of the Storytellers to give you a short adventure.

These are just a few suggestions. If you have any questions let me know.

[Location] The Seat of the Aconitum

This is where you go if you want to open a business or rent a stall at the Orchard Market. You also go there if you are a surface dweller and want to trade with Kalinor.

The NPC is going to be added at a later date. Colombina herself is going to make a writeup on Laudavyn Aconite, the head of the Aconitum.

Genici made an open thread! It's a flashback, so you can join it even if you aren't in Kalinor in the current season! Play with her! Threads between PCs can be just as interesting as modded threads!

And AS Macabre made a NPC for the Nest! The NPC is mainly some kind of hypnotherapist for surrogates, but he might also teach his skills to a PC.

Hopefully all the locations will eventually have NPCs attached to them.
