"I believe this is yours."

Sabrina's pain was alleviated for a second when she saw the man extend the ring to her. She quickly took it from him, but careful not to hurt it anymore than it might be. She slowly but surely inspected the ring for any dings or scratches, but found none. Thank God... She swiftly slung her backpack off her back and stuffed the ring in one of the pockets, securing it when she took off her cloak and stuffing it in there too.

"Well, um, thank you I guess..." she said to the man, putting the backpack back over her shoulders. "That stupid freak... she must be crazy or something, I don't know." she said with a sigh. She touched her head again and winced. "Where is she anyways?" she said, starting to look for her.

Her eyes caught on the Symenestra when she was trying to sneak out with another group. Her face turned into a mean scowl. Oh, no you don't you little freak. She threw her hair back, making sure that everyone could see the blood that was oozing down her face. "Guards! That Symenestra hurt me! Get her!" she said, trying to muster up all the innocence she could in her voice. Outside, her body was playing the sweet and innocent act, but inside, Sabrina couldn't have enough hate towards the stupid abomination.

Once the guards quickly passed Sabrina, she sucked up her pain and started running towards the inn. She quickly stopped though, remembering the man. "Uh, thanks again. I have to go. I don't want them asking questions." she said, giving a little salute to him. She started running again, towards the inn. She kind of wanted to stay to see what happened to the Symenestra, but figured it wasn't worth getting caught over.

Vadim was very confused as to why this human hated the symenestra female so much. He guessed that her calling of the guards was punishment for insulting her a unusual punishment but a punishment atleast. He followed after the human trying appear casual as if he hadn't just been hiding under a fruit stand. "excuse me miss but" he was at a lost for words and panting sprinting to keep up.

Asara's head whipped around and her gold eyes went pale in terror of the approaching Knights. Her nightmares always involved he Sylirans going for her, hunting her down, trampling her body an crushing. That human female was a good indicator of why humans were a blathering race of underdeveloped apes. They screamed and chattered and thundered around their self-centered little world, crushing the little spiders, snakes, and birds under their blundering feet, unpunished for their crimes. But not this human. Asara would make sure this human met the same fate that farmer had. Or at least an equally painful one.

Pain splintered Asara's skull as the snide voice that roamed her thoughts woke and told her to hunt a human again. Rage fed the fire and rage at the human who had hurt her and now the one who had shouted the accusation. She was hungry, always craving the flesh of something hideous and disgusting. She'd succumb to the urge now, she'd hunt the human and show her what it would mean for a Symenestra to hurt her deliberately.

With that comforting, if morbid, thought, Asara bolted, weaving through the humans with an instinctive grace, something no clumsy footed human could hope to imitate. She heard the guards colliding with passersby, shouting orders to clear out, and she escaped her boots. She'd need to climb if she was to escape and hunt.

Leaving her boots for someone else to snag, Asara ran into a narrow alley, turned to a wall, and began to scale it, glad at the possibility of climbing a solid surface with no outside help. Her ascent was clumsy with hurry, but she didn't care. She wanted to be gone by the time guards got to her location. Her ribs screamed with pain at every movement, but oh well. Dhalvasha would be located to help her if it got any worse.

Now on the roof, the Symenestra diverted most of her attention to the man and woman fleeing towards an inn. Anger bubbled up again as Asara realized the Symenestra must have been the human's accomplice. She'd get them both.

Sabrina jogged at a moderate pace towards the inn to collect her belongings and get out of Syliras. She didn't want anyone questioning her, or recognizing her. That was probably the most expensive thing she's ever stolen, and she didn't want any chance of it being taken away from her. She wiped her head on the back of her hand, the sleeve of her shirt soaking up some of the fresh sweat and blood on her forehead. Stupid, filthy, Symenestra's... she thought to herself.

"Excuse me, miss, but..."

She turned around at the voice, looking to see who it was, when she noticed the man following her. She stopped in her place, and sighed loudly. "Yes?" she said, feeling exhausted. Usually you'd treat the man who just saved one of your prized possessions a little nicer, but not in Sabrina's case. "I have to get going soon, so hurry it up." she said, crossing her arms.

Sabrina rolled her eyes at the man as she was growing quite impatient with him. He should know better than to come alone into a room with me... she thought. People were stupid, but that's how she liked it. She flipped her long hair over her shoulder, making a sharp pain go right through her skull. She grimaced and put her palm up to her head. She was getting annoyed now by this pain. It was making her look weak.

"Ugh, fine. But I'm not paying you anything. And it better be quick!" she said, thoroughly in a bad mood. She started jogging towards the inn again, motioning with her hand for the man to come with. She kept her eyes out for anyone that was eying her wrong or getting suspicious. She guessed it didn't look very casual, herself running and another man following her.

She slowed down a little bit, allowing him to catch up with her. "Now shut up, and do not look at anyone. Head straight towards the inn." she said while she grabbed his hand, intertwining her fingers into his. She made a quick little face as she felt his long, bony fingers. They weren't exactly the most comforting thing. She slowed down to a walking pace and stared at the ground. She figured this was better than nothing; it looked a lot less suspicious.

Once they were in a room alone with no one around Vadim's mood changed. He asked her to a seat on the bed and once she complied the interrogation begun "first off I'm not a doctor now before you open your open mouth now that I have a few questions" he paused to let what he just said sink in. "Why were you so nervous when the knights came near the fruitstand and why were you hiding from them?" he paused once more "don't think of running I won't hesitate to put a bolt in your head or let the guards know who I've found. He licked his fangs and tried to put on a lusttfilled gaze hoping this woman was unaware of symenestra diet and hoped he could his to a advantage.

He pulled out his crossbow just to strike fear into her.

[The Great Bazaar] A Herd of Humans (Open)

Sabrina's stomach dropped as the Symenestra revealed the truth and started questioning her. Her heart fluttered with fear when he pulled out the intimating crossbow and exposed his fangs. She was overwhelmed and had no idea what to do. Confrontations were not her thing. Usually whenever this type of thing happened, she usually fought with physical violence or just outright started fleeing. Obviously, both of those things could not happen with the crossbow aiming right towards her face. She had her mother's dagger in her backpack, but didn't really know how to reach it without looking suspicious.

Little beads of sweat started appearing on her forehead and palms as she thought of what to do. She definitely could not tell the truth. She had no doubt the man wouldn't hesitate to take the ring from her, and that could not happen. She quickly quickly pulled an innocent face and swallowed the lump in her throat as she began to speak. "I- me and my husband are getting married, and we're too poor to afford any type of ring for me or him." she said, forcing a small tear to run its way down her face. "It was the only option for us... and I figured it'd be a nice heirloom for my little daughter when she got older."

She buried her face in her hands and forced herself to cry, although it wasn't very hard considering she could die any second now. "Please don't kill me. I have a family!" she pleaded, taking her hands out of her face. "Please!"

[The Great Bazaar] A Herd of Humans (Open)

Postby Asara Willow on June 27th, 2011, 12:35 am

Asara couldn't see the couple. She'd been following them intently, keeping her slanted gold eyes on the odd couple as they approached the inn. She'd watched the female take the male's hand, and growled low in her throat. She'd touched the same hand, had the human done the same before her? Did she touch something contaminated? Disgusting, revolting!

Slowly, Asara crept to the inn, managing to get onto the outer wall and praying nobody saw her. Now it was her chance to locate the room the couple shared and attack. She reached for one of her discreetly concealed ribbon daggers and placed it into her mouth, then began to make her way to a nearby window.

The Symenestra crept into the building, on all fours, easing her way through the partially open window. She was in a hall way, and she sighed with exasperation. She didn't like inns. They were hovels for human entertainment, and yet she had to work in one. She didn't want to spend any more time in an inn than necessary. She'd have to bathe for hours to get the dirtiness out of her pale skin.

Asara began to investigate rooms, always keeping low so she could be silent. She stopped as se heard the voice of the male Symenestra, tilting her head and following the sound to a closed door. There was a confrontation? Was he really her ally? Maybe he'd kill the human before she could get to her... Such a vexating thought. She couldn't allow it to happen. She had to get her strike in.

Asara banged open the door and threw her dagger at the first flash of movement she had seen, but she didn't follow it in. She had seen the cross-bow, and she withdrew from sight before an arrow was fired in her direction. She wasn't sure if she'd hit anything, and she muttered a string of Symenestra expletives under her breath.

"Relaxe and listen" he saw through her lie and he was making a plan as he was going along. "I need you to stay here for a few days just so I can get some verification on your story". He paused for effect but changed his tone of voice to a calmer one "I'm a nice guy so don't worry". He changed his tone oncemore to appear more menacing but if you run I'll hunt you down and kill you" before she could say anything he put his crossbow away and was about to leave a knife flew in and grazed his kneecap. He winced in pain and picked the dagger off the floor he looked to the doorway and shook his head he didn't even want to know. He concealed the dagger in his cloak and left the inn.
