"Eldon, you stink." Eldon cocked his head to the side as he grinned. A few days in the wilderness and Calyna was positively revolted by the natural smell of sweat and natural spring water, no soap added of course. Eldon chuckled lightly as Calyna had to pinch her nose and wave about the air to explain what she was saying. Eldon didn't speak Common well, but he understood the universal sign for "you smell awful and you need to bathe". Eldon actually had bathed quite often in the pools of Soothing Waters since he started working here. Actually, he more often would just sit in the water and drift off to sleep until a ruckus, laughter, or some minor bother tended to rouse him from slumber, often times it would be Calyna with a bucket of chilled water or, once, an accurately thrown bar of soap from across the room. This time, he was to bathe in preparation for work. What was he to do today? Assist bathers? More Massage on live volunteers? Maybe he'd get some medical lessons? Eldon shrugged, he wasn't going to fight the bath command. Calyna handed him a bar of soap, a hand towel and a swift slap on the ass to get him moving, and it wasn't the sexy "I'll see you later" kind, but actually stinging "get a move on" kind. Still, it was kind of sexy, just not promising anything. Eldon found himself chimes later in one of the private pools. He got in free, he worked here. He preferred the private pools because of how warm they were kept. Steaming waters, it was comforting on the knew soreness in his muscles. He didn't stay in the wilds long, but these wildlands were so different in comparison to Cyphrus. Trees everywhere, all sorts of different beasts to chase down, and Vanah was considerably slower here (though still fast for a standard horse). So Eldon just soaked, naked (as clothing wasn't allowed in the pools) and with his hand towel draped over his face. He could fall asleep right there. |
