Rane was bored. He'd been in Syliras for two days, and nothing interesting had happened since. Yet, he wasn't ready to go back to exploring the ever-so-repetitive (and wolf-infested) forests of Mizahar. So, he decided he'd try one more thing to attempt to bring some interest out of boring, day to day city life. An adventure, so to say.

Now, Rane stood in front of the Welcome Home staring up towards the top. The building was only two stories, but for a seven inch tall piece of clay, two stories was a bit more than just that. Rane searched for anyplace on the building where feet and hand holds existed as his parents had taught him too. The Pycon would search for the best way up, and then stick to it. If he did not have a certain path, he wouldn't be able to climb. Because of his size, there was no room to improvise and reach a little farther once he was scaling up the wall. Why was he doing this? It's just the way he was born. Rane can't just sit around all day, he liked to do anything he could call an adventure, and climbing a two story building was in that category.

Satisfied that he had a good path to the roof, Rane began to walk towards the building. He had no fears, nor enough knowledge about what is dangerous and what is safe. So, while he could go splat against the ground with one false move, and possibly even damage his cestus, he would climb regardless. Standing within a few inches of the Welcome Home, Rane steadied his breathing. After that, he began to climb. The rough walls of the home imprinted a texture onto his tiny hands, but he ignored it. Rane was determined. He was determined to reach the top of this building, and more importantly, have a good time doing it.

One or two people would walk by the home and take note of Rane. Not many of them seemed to care, they were quite used to seeing small children scurrying over every inch the Welcome Home. It wasn't uncommon to see Damien climbing the outer walls, or hanging from windows, or trying to climb from window to window. At first glance, they saw a small boy, although oddly colored, and just didn't think anything of it. Small boys were always hopping around the building. However, it was the actual occupants of the Welcome Home that would soon notice, and they definitely would know something was up, something was out of place. '

About halfway up, the very center window slammed open. Directly above Rane, a young girl leaned out, about eight years old, and soon pulled a small carpet out after her. Not even noticing the boy below, she started to beat the carpet against the wall, a huge shower of dust and dirt exploding from within the wool object. It was only after the girl had beaten it against the wall a few times before she took notice of Rane. She froze, staring at him with wide eyes, her entire being froze in motion. That never lasted for long, though.

"There is a small boy climbing up our wall! And he looks weird!"
With an agitated squawk, she yanked her little carpet back in, and went running further into the house. "Someone get him before he gets hurt!" A few breaths later, another girl popped her head out the window, this one a bit older. Cocking a head at Rane, fixing a steely blue eye upon him, she gaze at him for a few moments. Letting loose a great sigh, she shook her head tiredly, and slowly retreated back into the house. "Stitch, it isn't Damien. It is some other idiot."

From inside the house, Stitch chuckled. This was quite new. In his bedroom, he secured bandage wraps around his head and eyes, and quickly headed downstairs and into the lobby. Best to go through the front door, and watch from the ground, instead of sticking his head out a window.

As Rane reached what would have been the second floor of the Welcome Home a little girl leaned out from her window. Without warning she began to beat a carpet against a space on the wall directly above Rane. The Pycon swung to the side and lost his grip in the shower of dust. Luckily, Rane grabbed another hand-hold a few feet down.

"There is a small boy climbing up our wall! And he looks weird!" That was all Rane had to hear, he hated being made fun of for his size. His pupil-less eyes squinted in anger. The boy looked towards the source of the insult and locked onto his target. Quicker than before, and without paying attention to any particular path, Rane scrambled up the wall to the girl's window. As Rane reached up to grab the mean girl, she turned and fled further into the house, leaving Rane to grab at empty space.

In hardly no time at all, the shock of not meeting his target sent Rane falling backwards for the second time. He tried to hold onto ever possible crevice on the wall with little success. Two meters or so from the bottom Rane was saved by what was pure luck. A nearby raven had been watching the whole event with little interest, and when Rane fell the bird's instincts took over. The black beast mistakingly thought that the little clay figure was lunch and snatched him out of the air with razor sharp talons. In an instant, before Stitch could reach the door the bird perched back on the roof to evaluate its prize. The whole time, Rane was having the time of his life. He had never flown before in his life!

NoteI thought Cayenne said I could use the raven when we talked in chat, but if I misunderstood then sorry. :/
