The Streets of Syliras
It hard started to rain late that day, and as the seconds drew by, the water started to come down heavier and heavier. The streets had even begun to form large puddles from the large amount of water, which fell into the street cracks and rolled down the streets. The dampness of the ground and the greyness of the sky seemed to dim the city, and as the people disappeared from the streets, it almost appeared lifeless.
Ever had taken off work early today, feeling exhausted from the extra buisiness the Golden Dragon was getting, and decided it would be best to get home before the actual storm started to hit. Thankfully, Tyras was in a generous mood and allowed this. She was starting to feel fatigued from all of the hours she put in, and she was sure she was starting to look a bit sickly, which wasn't good for buisiness. No one wants a sick entertainer.
She was doing an awkward little walk-jog down the road, trying not to make a complete fool of herself, but she was sure she was failing at that miserably. The raindrops made quiet taps all around her, drowning out all other noises like how hard she was breathing from the sudden cold or her boots against the wet ground. The water chilled her skin, and since she had not prepared for rain and had brought no jacket, it was steadily starting to make her numb. The water began to blur everything around her, by the thick greyness of the distance and as it fell into her eyes.
The water was a cold relief against her skin from the heat of the summer, but in the amount that it was being brought down, it was steadily starting to become chilling. She had to get out of the rain, but as she stopped in the middle of the sidewalk, she saw no place of cover except...there was a small cloth covering in a near alleyway ahead. That would have to do. Starting off at a run, she hurried to the covering.
When she was under it, it didn't offer much protection, but it was better than nothing. She let her body fall back against the cold damp brick wall, sliding down until she was sitting on the ground next to a small brown box. Honestly, she didn't care how she looked now, she was sure that she looked crazy from the rain anyways. She let her head fall to the side, and let her eyes fall shut. She was so tired. Maybe when the rain let up she could start to head home again, and possibly get some rest.
She opened her eyes once again, but instead of being met by the small brown box that had been sitting next to her, she was greeted by large crystal blue eyes, and a small black face. "Meow..."
