Alistair tentatively took the papers from Grandmaster Dyres, now aware that he had slighted the man. Unsure of whether it was the manner in which he had addressed the man or if he had said something when informing Dyres that he no longer needed assistance, Alistair opted to keep his silence. He glanced down at the papers, his eyes running over the paper; although he did not immediately take in what he was reading. His mind was more preoccupied with reviewing the conversation, trying to find his error. That must be it, it cannot be anything else. deGrey mentally verified that it was one, or both, of the previous possibilities that had angered Dyres. He would have to do better next time.
"Yes, I will return this to your office tomorrow morning. As well I do apologise for the slights, they were unintended." Alistair folded the paper and tucked it into his belt and watched Grandmaster Dyres leave, a slight look of worry on his face.
