[Flashback] A New (small) Friend

[Elisse]

Elisse nodded at the little Pycon. He was certainly correct in his thinking. She could have done with some healing hands when she made a mistake during reimancy practice a few times. "You could probably study medicine at the University you know." She had no idea if the Pycon even wanted to try the University, but she did know that it would take him. She had been looking at him with such curiosity that it took her a moment to register the fact that he had spoken again. "Reimancy? It's... well it depends what you mean by helpful." She paused. "Reimancy is when you can control the elements. You know, fire, water and all that." She looked down at the clay person again. "But you have to create it before you can use it." She frowned a little, not quite sure how to explain it clearer.

He looked at Elisse strangley at the thought of making an element, he was aware that Earth was all around him, but he could not create any, the same with Water it was flowing in the sea, and streams, but create water out of nothing? This seemed quite irregular. Though he was aware fire could be created as it was never found just burning somewhere to be collected. Opening his mouth as if to talk, a confused look crossed his face and the mouth closed again, almost immediately he spoke again ' How do you create this element magic then? Could you not simply use the Earth and Water that is already here? ' Questions swam through his mind, trying to escape though his mouth every time he opened it, he was curious about this thing, how useful would it be to be able to make fire, to sterilize and quaterize wounds and injuries.

Elisse looked at the Pycon. It was difficult to read the clay man's features, though she suspected she had confused him since he stayed silent for a while. His mouth opened and closed a couple of times before he spoke, confirming her thoughts. "Well, you can but you need to have res already." She broke off. That was another thing that would need explaining. She scrunched her nose in thought for a moment before continuing to speak. "When one is able to use reimancy you acquire control over something called djed. Everything in the world has djed; you, me, that plant over there." She paused to make sure the Pycon was listening. "A reimancer can push djed out of themselves and change it into something called res. Res is then able to be changed into whatever element the reimancer can use." She hoped she was explaining it clearly. "Um, as for using elements that already exist, yes you can. When a reimancer creates res, they can will it to attract their element. So if a water reimancer was standing near a puddle, they could make res and then sort-of... pull the water to it." She said nothing more. Elisse had never tried it herself. Frankly the through of pulling fire towards her was a little scary.

Clearly quite impressed with her knowledge of this new thing called magic or riemancy, his face was set in a very open smile, thoughts ran through is little mind of what sort of use something of the likes of this would be, could it be used to treat wounds? would a water riemancer be invaluable as a water source in dry lands or at a battlefield, or an earth riemancer for building. ' So have you ever...done this then? Made an element out of nothing...sorry no out of your..Djed? and have you made up your mind on what you wish to use such a marvelous skill for?...there must be very many uses. ' Before long he was back into his mind, thinking up ways upon ways something like this could be used to further medicine or atleast help out in its application.
