• Physical Description Clarity is of medium build, standing around 5’6 and 100 pounds she is thin but not obsessively so. Dark red hair falls well past her shoulder blades and reach the lower part of her back in gentle waves. Upon first sight many think she is an Inarta though she has no knowledge of her family background beyond her grandparents she believes she is fully human. Clarity is a healthy pale with slight bronze undertone in low lighting. Her bright blue eyes are by far the most outstanding feature as they pop out against her hair color. Adding to the appearance of an Inarta the youth wears many glass bead decorations in her hair. Usually she’ll leave it down and let feathers and such hang in the red strands. Her normal outfit is anything but. A plain, long sleeved black tunic fits her nicely and has many colorful beads hanging from it, while her black breaches have colorful scarves hanging out of the back ranging from dark blues to rich greens. A black cloak lines her shoulders and while the outer cloth is black the inside has patterns of swirling colors. Physically speaking Clarity has little strength and has weak knee joints. Infamous for locking up on her during mid chase they have put her in many tricky situations. • Character Concept Clarity is a bit of a mystery. Because of her intense study of Hypnosis she is a bit loose, as an affect of overgiving. While the symptoms are more likely to show after using her magic they have been known to crop up sporadically, sometimes when Clarity finds herself without rest. After a particularly bad Flash incident where Clarity found herself in a battle with another user of Hypnosis, she suffered from an extreme bleeding from the mouth, eyes and even under her nails, afterwards she went into a violent stage of quick mood swings, isolation, and clinginess. Periodically she’ll go through similar symptoms at the first sign of overgiving or stress. When she isn’t in one of her phases she is generally a nice person, having an amusing demeanor she is known to have a twisted kind of humor. Generally laid back Clarity uses her Hypnosis for her “humor” and also for a quick escape if needed. Clarity will not partake in causing too much mayhem with her magic though as she does see it morally wrong to abuse the power to a certain point. She doesn’t mind being around people but begins to feel uncomfortable when there are too many people she isn’t familiar with. • Character History o Pre-Creation – Clarity was second born in a set of twins on the 3rd of Summer. Her mother was a healer in Alvadas and a big follower of Ionu as was her father. They named Clarissa or (Clarity for short), as somewhat of an inside joke to the family because they live in the city of illusions which is anything but clear. Her slightly older sister was name Jolon which means valley of the dead oaks. Her father picked the name after seeing an illusionary painting of dead and living oaks. The piece was titled Jolon. Until their early teen years the sisters got along fairly well and were very close. Around the age of twelve the two began their journey on very different paths. While Clarity excelled in the visual aspects of life Jolon was more physical. Clarity began studying Hypnosis while Jolon began the darker art of Summoning. Over time the girls separated and it was often that the family would not see Jolon for days on end because she became very involved with her practice. At the age of fourteen, Clarity walked in on a summoning from which her sister had managed to pull out a glassbeak. The appearance of her sister caused Jolon to break concentration thus allowing the monster to be set free. The enraged Glassbeak attacked the two girls. Clarity was knocked to the floor and during the attack the beast stepped on her knees, crushing them. Jolon escaped shortly after the bird bit her pinky off and quickly lured the bird back to the circle where she sent it back. The girl’s mother was able to heal their wounds and by the time she was fifteen Clarity was able to use her legs fully again. There was some bitterness between the sisters but eventually they found closeness again. That was until Jolon became a full supporter of Rhysol after meeting a traveling follower of the evil god. Jolon stayed a few more months with the family before leaving to join Ebonstryfe. Afterwards Clarity began traveling in and out of the city, losing interest in her art for a while she focused more on her Hypnosis. During the spring festival of Illusions she found her muse again and continued with a new passion to perfect her abilities in art. Upon becoming seventeen she was given a fluffy kitten from her mother as a tradition in her family for coming of age. She gave the kitten the name of Maya.
