Timestamp: TBD by player It was a day like any other; a day in which the sky appeared as though it were filled with soot, permanently shrouded in darkness. A blanket of white across the ground; freshly fallen snow that somehow managed to trickle down from the darkening clouds. But even something so pure as that seemed so very dark in a world where the sun no longer seemed to shine. In a world where everyone was forced to flee underground; to burrow into caves like rabbits and other wild animals. A figure shrouded in a cloak the color of the night walked through it all, leaving a trail of messy footprints behind him. He seemed to be carrying nothing on his person; although, it was possible that something was hidden beneath the black cloth; after all, the garments which he wore weren't exactly form fitting. His hood however, was pulled tightly over his head, so that the ends dangled a few inches in front of his face; casting his features into an even darker shadow. Allowing the traveler to lock out the cool breeze that swept through the night. The traveler walked steadily, seemingly without a particular destination in mind. And it was true; there was no where in all the world he needed to be; although, he would like a place to spend the night. There was no reason, as far as he could see; that he should allow himself to be made an easy meal for whatever creatures walked the night. There was a cave off in the distance, although the traveler could not see it. And inside the cave sat a woman, huddled by a fire that crackled and spat small specs of flame out at her every few minutes. The fire rested on a few blackened logs, no more than two feet wide, and another one and a half high. She was holding her hands out to it, rubbing them together; trying desperately to make herself warm. It cast an eerie orange glow upon her features; it cast shadows upon the wall. It promoted feelings of insecurity, of loneliness. Oh how the woman wished there was something or someone to hold... The traveler walked for several more minutes, before coming to the mouth of the cave. He could vaguely make out a light flickering off in the distance. Someone is inside, he thought, as he stepped through the cave entrance, and towards the fire. It only took him a moment to find it. "Hello," he said, his voice deep and somewhat scratchy, as though it were permanently dry. He took a few steps closer, and settled by the fire. "Forgive me for imposing, but it is so very cold outside. Won't you let me share your fire?" he asked, the last few words sounding slightly more suggestive than either of those present would have liked. Silently, he stared at her, trying to catch her eyes as he waited for a response, as he fed her words that only he knew. You can trust me. Everything will be alright if we spend the night together. I can help you build a fire larger than anything you have ever seen before. Notes :
