A surreal cavern city inhabited by Symenestra where stones glow and streets are reams of silk. Cocoon like structures hang between stalactites and cascade over limestone flows in organic and eerie arabesques. Without a Symenestra willing to escort you, entrance is impossible.

Evening

She stared at the entrance, or what she assumed was the entrance, of Kalinor with wide eyed awe. Like a large hole, it gaped at her, and she felt a thrill of fear at what could befall a person entering the cave with the intent to kill its inhabitants. Not that she had any such notion, but it was still frightening. Her eyes couldn't even pierce the darkness. They couldn't see into its yawning chasm. It was so dark and silent that her soul could be sucked in and devoured by what 'demons' lurked in it's midnight corridors.

Malas was not conceited enough to believe that the inhabitants of Kalinor were demons. They were a race striving to survive in a world that sought their death. The great spiders of Kalinor were struggling to survive the tide of death like the rest of the broken world was. They were at a disadvantage, however, and couldn't be blamed for persuing different avenues of perserving their volatile race.

Malas respected that about them. It was why she had sought them, and why she stood at the mouth of the entrance to their city, the haunting, beautiful place she had heard so much about while living in Lhavit. It was why she waited now to see if one of these people would come out to her and accept her offer without a doubt.

The Kelvic, as that was what Malas was, was completely focused in what she wanted. She had come willingly and would accept whatever these spiders forced on her. If anyone would have asked, they would have been disgusted at her answer, her reason for coming to the brink of an impasse.

Malas closed her eyes and inhaled deeply the air of freedom. She had not been in a cave like Kalinor before, and she wanted to be sure to remember the taste of Kalea before it was removed from her. A sacrifice she was willing to make, a sacrifice lesser than the others she desired to offer the Symenestra.

And now, Malas the Kelvic awaited the arrival of the Symenestra she'd expected to notice her presence.

PoisonHey! :) I decided to put this up while you were gone, and I apologize if it isn't that good. Also, if it wasn't what you had in mind I am totally up for taking it and playing with it some. :3 I can't wait to get this started! Thank you!

Gazing at the Cavern (Poison)

Postby Vallen on December 6th, 2011, 12:11 am

Having the weirdest sensation that he was meant to be somewhere Vallen wandered all over his home city Kalinor, looking for the place he feels he is meant to be. Being as light on his feet as always he continues his search not only looking everywhere in the busy city but also the uninhabited parts that people rarely go in. Having searched far and wide he could only think of one more place to check, outside the cave. Vallen being who he is has never been outside the city's comforting darkness, he has never witnessed the sunlight travelers would to talk about when they would visit. Gathering courage was something he never really had to do, but did his best to on his way to the gate.

Standing far enough from the gate not being able to see the sunlight on the other end wondering whether this is the place where he is destined to be. Slowly creeping toward the gate imagining what might be unfold. Vallen takes a large intake of air before exiting his safe-hold, when he exits a bright light that he is not used to blares in his eyes so he can not see what or who is standing before him. As Vallen's eyes begin to adjust to the brightness of the sun which he has never encountered he sees a girl standing there, not sure whether he is just seeing things or if she is really there he calls out in his young 17 year old voice wondering if she will answer him back. "H-hello?"
