Look at them all. So many pockets ripe for the picking. Hopefully today will be better then yesterday. Kai scanned the marketplace below him as he sat perched on a window sill, the warm midday sun causing his black feathers to shine brightly. Stepping side to side, Kai cocked his head about, continuing to scan the streets below for whomever he could easily steal from. "Kaw! Kaw!" Stretching his big black wings Kaivol began flapping and leaped from his roost on the sill. Gliding and soaring high above the heads of those down below, Kai moved swiftly, keenly at home in his raven form flying uninhibited in the clear skies. Banking to his left, Kai made his way to the back alley where he had hid his belongings. Shape shifting could only be done naked, so he had to take everything off and hide it from other thieves in order to go scouting himself. Being able to shift into a bird made his life a bit easier when it came to picking his next target. Those out shopping would never expect a single raven to be scoping them out to be robbed later that day. Flapping his wings Kai landed in the dark alley, away from the hustle and bustle of the busy market streets. Folding his wings he walked his raven form to the crate where he had stashed his things. Twitching slightly, Kai quickly and seamlessly shifted back into his human form. His jet black hair falling to his shoulders as the transformation finished. The stone of the shadowy alley was cold against his bare feet. Moving quickly Kai dressed himself, slipping into his leather pants and jerkin and pulling his shin high boots over his feet. The cloth within was soft and tickled his skin, he loved these boots. Tying his cloak to his shoulders, Kai let black dyed cotton material fall to his ankles behind him. Finally pulling on his finger less leather gloves and tying his red sash around his waist, Kai grabbed his small dagger and made his way back to the market streets. Leaving the alleyway, Kai stashed his dagger within the folds of his sash so as not to scare of his prey. Pulling his hood over his head, and the excess material of his cloak over his face, Kai slipped into and melded easily with the crowd before him. Scanning the crowd he spotted his first target or the day. Slowly he made his way towards the figure, extending his hand from the safety of his cloak Kaivol reached for the figures exposed pockets. But this just wasn't Kai's lucky day... again. The right hand of the figure clasped around Kais wrist, squeezing tight so he couldn't get away. "And what to you think you're doing, hmmm?" Not again... |
